I bet the reason why, is just running the source servers the fps will stay at the limited ~80fps or whatever it is, but when you start up cod4, which in itself changes the multimedia timer (like srcdsfpsboost does) so they will all use a lot more cpu. I am not sure about UT3, but I now cod4 does this.
