It doesn't matter - XA is an alias for ESA in USER DIRECT.  (The machine 
doesn't have a mechanism to restrict a guest to 370-XA mode.)

Sometimes a CMS-based app will issue INDICATE USER to find out and do 
something stupid like "If not XA, then must be 370."   (gag)
