Len, apparently you have nothing to learn from us and are unwilling to teach us from your wisdom, so why are you here? Now for an alternative answer to the original question: There are a number of Windows based tools that can do this. Check out Ultraedit (www.ultraedit.com) for $35.00US. It can open up to 4GB files. I'm sure that other solutions to this problem have been discussed on this forum in the past. Anyone have something they use currently?
