In the context of Friday's meeting I was under the impression that Revie would not be in any kind of position to make an offer.
As for the supporters trust - I wasnt aware they were even thinking about a bid never mind in a position to bid. If the supporters trust were an option i would definitely support it, and most likely the Revie bid too. With regards to what Bates might want I was basing my speculation on something I read earlier in the week. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of vanillafudge LUFC Sent: 30 May 2007 11:40 To: leedslist Subject: Re: [LU] Best interests for next season ----- Original Message ----- >Haven't we all agreed that whoever wants to buy the club is only doing it for the potential money to be made? No we haven't. Do you really think that the supporters Trust wanted to buy the club ONLY for profit ? Separately, are you totally convinced that profit is Revies ONLY motivation ? >If Bates wants a £5mil profit then so be it - what he will have done is truly wipe the debts out, so anyone coming in is better off giving him his £10mil than they would have been putting in £10mil two years ago. You are posing a very big "If". It is TIME which has truly wiped the debts out. If Bates wants £5 Million then he could have had that by now. You are correct that it would be a very small price to pay, but what are you basing this on ? Obviously I cannot by any stretch of the wildest imagination, speak for Bates, but I honestly believe that if all he wanted was £5 Million then he would have taken one of several opportunities yesterday to make that clear. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
