Tonight on the programme, after one person is killed in a gas blast in Hull, Ill be investigating what caused the explosion, which could be heard five miles away across the city. Ill have the latest on that one. Also, were waiting to hear whether the Bridlington Eye has been given the go ahead by the High Court. Judges are deciding on the fate of the big wheel! Ill bring you that decision on the programme at half past six. Plus, Ill be talking to one of Yorkshires most famous actresses, ClaireKing. Shes the star of Emmerdale, Bad Girls and Hollyoaks. Ooh Matron Fourteen years after its last appearance, Carry On films are making a comeback. Carry On London, the thirty-second in the series famous for its saucy humour and slapstick, will cost £6.4 million and will star Shane Ritchie, Vinnie Jones and ex-playboy model, Victoria Silvestd. The film centres on a limousine company, ferrying celebrities to the film awards. The Carry On film, the first one for fourteen years, is the thirty-second in the series. Its costing £6.4 million pounds and its on its way. Thats good news for Carry On films. Someone has emailed in this week to our inbox saying that they thought that I reminded them of Charles Haughtry which of course I did not laugh at! School Dinners Children should eat the school dinners put in front of them rather than being given too much choice of dishes, according to one of the countrys foremost authorities on food. Pru Leith said that less variety would help children develop healthier eating habits. The cook and restaurateur said that they should be offered one healthy hot meal and a salad. Britain was at its healthiest in the period just after the Second World War when the last thing children had was choice. Those are the words from Pru Leith. The headline appeared in the paper a few days ago Levy Faces Grilling! This of course is to do with the PMs fundraising chief, Lord Levy. Hes being quizzed by a committee later this year. So thats absolutely nothing to do with me! Unusual and not very common surname as well Lord Levy! Nothing to do with me. Although I wouldnt mind having something to do with his money. Im sure hes worth a bob or two! But thank you for those clips, which people sent in to me. Dog Napping Thanks very much indeed to several people, who have asked if we could talk about the subject of dog napping. I dont know if its a problem locally, but it was prompted by an interview that Bruce Forsyth gave the other day about his daughter losing her dog or was it two dogs. Both dogs were dog napped and its touched a nerve. Many people feel very sad about this and its an awful thing. I didnt actually see the interview itself, but I thought it sounded like a really emotional and disturbing interview. I dont know if its going on locally, but its a subject that we will investigate and look into. Humber Bridge I was saying a few weeks back about the Humber Bridge. I had a sit down by the Humber Bridge the other night. And as the sun went down, it was so peaceful and beautiful down there, especially on these mild evenings. You just look at the wonderful structure of the bridge. Its so delicate that its hard to believe its such a feat of engineering. And of course its twenty-five years since the bridge was built. Were looking for your pictures at the moment and any memories of the bridge when it was being built. Get in touch with me on that one. Its coming up to the 25th birthday and theres that big concert at the Humber Bridge Country Park there. Of course Katherine Jenkins will be performing. It might be only three and a half years since I moved here, but Ive never tired of seeing that bridge. Its absolutely wonderful. I would be banging on the door of the bridge master if he was talking to me that is after all those interviews recently about bridge tolls! to go up to one of the towers, (if I could stand the height). Of course, Im sure lots of you know Im not very good with heights, but it would be a marvellous view wouldnt it? Sport Relief Dont forget we need your help and support for Sport Relief.
