The Hull City manager and Englands under twenty-one manager will be giving us a preview of whats happening for Sport Relief this year in the region. Ill also be letting you know how you can help support this cause and how you can take part in many events across the region.
Also tonight, Ill have the latest on a story of national significance. An Iraqi man, who was due to be deported, is accused of serious crimes in Hull. Ill have more on that one later tonight. Plus Ill have a preview of the BBC One documentary on Beverly Allitt, the Lincolnshire nurse, who worked at Grantham Hospital, who was convicted of killing four children and harming nine others. She is currently serving thirteen life sentences and the programme, Angel of Death: The Story of Beverly Allitt is being screened tonight on BBC One. Weve had a Royal visitor in the region today. Prince Charles is visiting Lincoln and Ill be looking back today at his visit to the region. Thats BBC One tonight at 6.30pm. I hope you can join me then. David Blaine The illusionist David Blaine has got us all talking again. Hes planning on spending the next week living under water in a human aquarium. At the end of the stunt, he will attempt to break the world record for holding his breath under water while handcuffed to one hundred and fifty pounds of metal chain. Its extraordinary that David Blaine manages to do a stunt and all of the media jump to his attention with lots of coverage. Two years ago, of course, he spent forty-four days in a glass box by the River Thames for a starvation stunt. And in 2002, he balanced on the top of a platform at the top of a ninety foot pillar for thirty-five hours. Anyway, what do we think about David Blaine? Female staff do an average of forty-five hours a week, which is almost two more than men. Experts believe that some put in the extra time to prove that they are better than male colleagues. That has been reflected throughout the whole of the country that women seem to be putting in more hours or feel the need to put in more hours than men. So the average working woman is doing more hours in the week compared to her male colleagues! Pictures Were getting very low on photographs to show on the Big Screen. Its a once in a lifetime moment actually and is one that has gone largely unnoticed until now. Thursday will see us hit precisely 01 02 03 04 05 06. Its coming round for the first time in one hundred years, although unfortunately most of us will be asleep! In a more easier and familiar format, where its easier to digest it will be 01:02:03 or in other words two minutes past one and three seconds on the 4th of the 5th month of the 6th year or 04.05.06. To make it even simpler two minutes and three seconds past one am on the 4th of May 2006! The unusual time and date has attracted little attention in Britain, but Asia is excitedly counting down to the event. A Malaysian newspaper is challenging readers to send in text messages at exactly the time the numbers are aligned. So there you are. Its happening on Thursday morning early at 01:02:03! Theres one here from Katie going on about how lovely it was to have Ben on the programme. He was in Lincoln last week for a book signing and he was talking to us. Im sure hell be back in the region again. Next time he is, then dont worry, well get him back again. Loads of you said you enjoyed the chat, but that it was too short. Well, were always up against the time, but if Ben does come back, then I promise well get him on the programme again. Thursday And another line about Thursday - apparently, tomorrow is going to be the hottest day of the year so far. Well, not that that says much. Actually its going to be the hottest day since September. The bank holiday, of course, is out of the way and were all back at work, which is why the weather is getting better, but in some parts the temperature could hit twenty-five Celsius, thats seventy-seven Farenheit. Not of course, that I want to tread on the little ones toes, but anyway the rumours are that Thursday and Friday are going to be good! Private Passions We've seen the man passionate about seaside piers, a woman who's seen the same show five hundred times, met the Red Arrows' biggest fan, and a farmer with a massive collection of agricultural films.
