addendum to the earlier post: i made a tarball of the
usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts directory on nic cd, blew away the fonts on ltsp
server and replaced them with the fonts from the tar ball. there is NO
improvment. this suggests that i am missing something on how this stuff
works in netscape - i was looking mostly at netscape. the fixed fonts in
my character terminal windows did not change at all. what a pain. julius
