I used to search CL for Paykel -CPAP to weed out the breathing machines.
Took me about 4 months to get the two dishwashers.
About once a year I find something I can't pass up and throw it in the back of the garage, like a washer-dryer set for $150 (now owned by my neighbors) or an Intuitive washer with a broken fin on the agitator for $50 (seller bought a new set when the heating element burned out in the dryer, the appliance store hauled the dryer away for free before he advertised the washer, I could have cried, threw away an Intuitive dryer instead of giving it to me).

and into the electronics, usually a lid motor or lid seal issue). Then I found a really ugly one
with no sheet metal on the front on CL for $20. After I bought it, I found out it's a special model
for cabinetmakers, you're supposed to put your own wood on it to match the cabinets. So now
the $100 one is for spare parts (the guy who sold me the $20 one said that only one drawer
was safe to use) and the $20 one will go into the kitchen when I build new Cherry fronts for
the cabinets.
