You see that's where you're off a bit, the conclusion I come to is that people will support mass transit, if someone else pays for it, the cost of the alternatives is made artificially high. That was the whole point of the article.

PJ, it's the public's choice NOT to support mass transit.
Always has been.  Taxes never killed it, cars and suburbia did.
