jan,
since you mentioned netopia tech support is working with your problem,
to isolate and narrow it down the problem, ask them to provide another
temporary netopia router so that both sides are using the same router for
100% compatibility.. this temporary test to show that there are no link nor
cable problem.
if everything is fine then my last help to you is a clocking problem...
cisco clocking is using *source internal* while netopia clock source is
*network*.. tell netopia tech support how to syncronize their clocking with
cisco clocking.
