Hello,

Cisco's implementation of HDLC is proprietary to Cisco and Cisco recommends 
using
PPP when connecting to non-cisco routers. BTW most HDLC implementation of other
vendors is proprietary also.

The new Quidway routers (from Hua Wei) on the other hand support Cisco's 
implementation
of HDLC. Quidway routers are supposed to be clones of cisco routers.
