if you find the problem on the leased line, your next step is pointing out
which segment of the leased line has the problem. there are two segments:
from cisco-side to telco, and from netopia-side to telco. from each side,
have the telco end do a loopback test to its router pair taking note of
the encapsulation used (ppp/hdlc). when the loopback test is set, the
leased line and line protocol should be both 'UP' on that segment. then
have them send a stream of bytes to see if there are CRC or Frame errors
being accumulated on the interface. so on each segment, if the leased
line or line protocol are 'down' and there are frame and crc errors, have
the telco fix it =) note: both segments can have errors.
