"Why not," Alex agreed taking a few more bites of her breakfast, mostly to keep the two men off her back.  She'd actually already eaten enough, it wasn't as if she needed to catch up for missing dinner, but she noticed Derek's concerned look.  "You know, you'd think they would warn us in advance," she said shoving her chair back and standing up.  She did decide to take  her coffee with her. As he did for himself, making a face that was 'not quite used to the taste but liking the effect'  "Remind me never to complain about Nick's coffee again.  I can see why Julia has the energy she does after drinking this stuff.  Heaven help us if Kat gets the inkling to sneak some."   Then they arrived in the sitting room, Derek letting Alex go first before entering himself and raising a curious eyebrow at the woman that was standing beside the piano "Hello, I'm Doctor Derek Rayne.  My assistant, Ms Alex Moreau."
