It's not about creating a localization file, it's about updating existing ones. I personnally prefer when POT files, even though they're generated, are kept in VCS and resynced by developers when new strings are added|changed. This, because translators are not always people with the required skills|environment to run cryptic xgettext commands or msgmerge commands. But that's not really the problem : the problem is the desynchronization between PO files in git and the need of the software. In the case of the French translation, if I hadn't regenerated the pytrainer_fr.po file, I couldn't havenoticed that, indeed, some strings are not translated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone hates slow websites.
