Even though the Google web robot is going to pick this up, here is my take on the Carl's directorship wish. Carl, you got your wish, we are gonna loose the code requirements in the U.S. I don't have to worry about ever talking to you on the air, cause you probably don't know what code sounds like!! And if you do, then you better turn up the wick on the keyer (forget using a newbie computer setup) because I will not slow down for you. Actually I hope you get to be a director of the ARRL because they have sure tried (since 1976 that I know of) to squelch CW and get the entry level to Ham radio down to the moron level. You and the ARRL deserve each other. Now, you may be thinking, does he (meaning ME) feel better for this little e-note...................NOPE............... I am truly sad that the ARRL has failed to do its job in protecting Ham radio in a zillion different fronts and sad that an organization like Carl's is even created. For the future, just watch and see what FEMA and the Homeland Security do with the vast amateur radio frequencies..................since they are in such desperate need of some way to talk to first responders. We are gonna be channelized voice Ham Radio with no CW and excuse me, but is this much like CB radio?
