Hi all, I created new logo designs. I started merging the white label / record label ideas of Scott, Marlon and myself. Some notes:
- I like the font Marlon uses, especially the "A" style. It makes the word "RAVE" look really distinctive. So I used a similar but slightly heavier font with a more symmetrical cross-bar and adjusted the kerning to give it more body and balance. - I agree with Hadrians "simplicity is good" statement. So I removed a lot of elements from the concept2. This resulted in: http://people.apache.org/~ate/rave/logo/rave_logo_appstyle.jpg Doing this I realized the symmetry of the "A" and the "V" is a truly strong style element, and combined it with the 'hole' of the label. I also thought the 'appstyle' logo still looks too iconic. It needs to be even simpler IMO. Therefore I've created two variants of a more abstract logo, still based on the white label idea (and using a black/white color scheme to emphasize that). Here they are: http://people.apache.org/~ate/rave/logo/rave_logo_simplestyle1.jpg http://people.apache.org/~ate/rave/logo/rave_logo_simplestyle2.jpg Like to hear your comments.
