With a seat post, I stick it on there and never adjust it again. So why not look cool? And I doubt NItto would make a bad product, and it reminds me of bikes I had when i was a kid, and I think it looks like a post that was made to do a specific job without trying to look streamlined or modern or like a piece or art (it is, after all, just something to hold your saddle in place).
