Thanks for the pointers, Mark. I've browsed the NCIX site, and they do appear to have some pretty good deals. As time (and finances) permit, I'll have a closer look to see about putting together a dedicated system for my collection.
I take your point about using Vorbis comments for flac files, and I'll be sure not to use id3 tags with them.
