I guess not many are interested, or it's written in a way that the screenreaders can't hook into and get the text from.  But you're not the only one, I've been looking for a good CCG for a long time.  I'd really love a yu-gi-oh one, or for some one to teach me about Magic.  Think some one is going to work on something for Pokemon Showdown, and while that isn't really a CCG anymore, I'll still mess with it.  Their's also Digimon Showdown which is at the top of the Pokemon Showdown page.  Wonder how workable that is.

Personally, I read and write braille, but it's just not something I use. I just don't get anything out of reading a braille book for hours, that's why I prefer speech. With braille, I just simply don't absorb as much information as with speech.

I don't think choosing your prefered voice is a good idea because in a way, it would ruin part of the spirit of the game.  What would happen when you had two players that picked the same voices?  I like using the different voices to differentiate between the different players, and having three players picking Nicki would not help with that at all.

Hm, looking around a bit, Quorum appears to be a programming language originally designed to be easier to hear through screen readers for the blind and visually impared. Its become a general purpose language for all users and can compile to Java Bytecode and run on the Java Virtual Machine, or compile to _javascript_. It does indeed seem to have a game engine component as part of its standard library, along with web components, math libraries, and containers.

I am starting up a new thread for this to avoid people reading descriptions and bugs from the first time around.  Few things are more annoying than having people ask about features long since changed or removed, because they don't know they're reading something old.  As before, the public beta officially starts on Sunday morning, and it will run for 1 week.  Also as before, I am posting the beta client a day early so people have a little extra time to maybe familiarize themselves with how the game works.  Once Sunday morning hits, the server will be cleared so everyone is starting at the same time.Please keep in mind that this is still a beta of the game, and over the past few days major work has been done on the game's foundation, any of which could have broken little things here and there.  The point of this beta is to test the m

I think I encountered another glitch too. I evolved my Growlith at level 50. It was supposed to learn Extreme Speed when evolved but it did not. So I guess this happens when you evolve a pokemon using a stone and it is supposed to learn a move at the sam level in it's evolved form. I guess the problem comes from the fact that evolution by level up and evolution by stone may be considered as to different elements by the game. I mean, there's no evolution cinematic when a pokemon evolves with a stone, it just transforms instantly, and it may explain why the game doesn't check if the pokemon is supposed to learn a move.

I should quickly add that for anyone jumping on the public beta today (Saturday), you're jumping into the last day of a week.  That means the story it reads will not be the introduction, and your building options will contain things you can't normally make yet earlier in the week.  Just letting everyone know so there is less confusion.Once connected to multiplayer, you can press escape and arrow down to "Story".  From there you can read each of the 4 story sections, in case you wish to hear them without waiting for them to trigger at different days of the week.

Well it depends what is offered and how much I am willing to pay.I usually go for funding maybe the 55 dollar range it all depends what perk I get and how silly I feel on perks before they go way outside what I want, etc.If a game is good enough etc, I may pay more for say an audiobook, a game and the soundtrack.And maybe a boxed version of that game, a documentary on its making etc.I have never got a t shirt though as I have ay to many shirts.Over that I am not interested.Ofcause if I have helped work on a game for accessability and the author wants support then I will give the full support depending what it is just to say I have done that.In one case while its not hit just yet, I get all electronic versions of the games and the box set.The author didn't know about what would go in the box and I suggested a soundtrack cd a poster does not interest me.I have noticed, a game cost say 50-100 bucks for sightlings, then the ga
 me drop right down but the actual price stay the same but with a bundle of stuff.My brother has had times where he brought games only to find out that for whatever reason for what he payed for them they were bundled together.Another friend was thinking of buying a game that was 70 dollars, but suddenly it went up to 150 dollars for a short time, but included all games in the series created, all dlc, all expantion packs and exclusive content and was a steal.Sadly for us I don't think we are in a position to offer such bundles like that.I have seen a few games in packs ofcause but not many at once.I used to see a lot of suites of software do this and while I have one of these suites, not many do this now days.

Hi.I agree also with post 2.I have actually had a rally of sorts for vintage cars.How it works is this.The sighted driver drives the car, you the blind person has instructions where to go with braille and you tell them where to go.Its only happened once but it was fun.It was rotery sponsored though so who knows.After that well I don't know.I would like another it was an afternoon drive in an old car, it was fine.I do agree for most of us it doesn't apply.Saying that if there any rallies, if you are taking part, shove a recording of the entire  thing up somewhere so we can at least enjoy your point of view if you are able.It won't be exactly like us being there but for us guys outside the location it will be the next best thing.

Hi daniel.I have on and off wanted some sort of usable radio scanner to scan all stations, from shortwave to marine, boat, aircraft, military and others.Sadly, I havn't found things that worked, I did use to have a rather large scanner that was an old manual radio but to be honest I havn't hit anything that was accessible fully.I am seriously wandering if I can get some sort of online scanner that can do things or get a scanner I could control with my computer.Fact is though, a lot of radio stations now shortwave at least just is not much of here I'd still like to have something to fiddle with with good sound on them.

tracking sound? That doesn't even exist. Those are items but I'll probably change that eventually. If it's not tested on xp theres going to be a war? um, uh, o... k then? I've never scene a not tested on xp war on any other games that got released in my life. I might keep updating you guys with recordings if that would intrest you, now I have put in poison, a flame thrower, shields, jet mistles, etc. It's getting more entresting each version.

Remember that the reason for pause is to resume it later. It is on the IPad, and it is from the ITunes store. It is the new star wars movie. The digging that I have done has been having someone around the house looking at the screen with their eyes. Best I can tell, there buttens that VO is not reading for some reason. I can remove the first thing in my download by tapping edit, then turning off VO, then tapping the thing in question, then turning VO back on, and finally pressing tapping delete. The person that looked at the screen said that they thought they saw something that will allow the download to be paused, but I don't see anyway of doing so.

I have been looking for an assessable cgs for some time now, I was thinking some of the more experienced audio game devs could come up with something like aprone, sam, or mason, I know they are working on there own projects, but with the skill set that they all have, I know one of them could create something pretty cool..as for now we have yugioh as a mud which is pretty decent, we just have to get more players into it, a lot of players fall off because the lack of cards.and dark I was playing fallin worlds for a while, but the site got shutdown for lack of funds, the small community that stayd playing were no longer contributing to the game

Most addons do this, people usually don't want their synthesizer getting changed suddenly by an IM from someone. It occurs in almost every synth driver I've studied; the author removes embedded commands. Of course, I'm use to the tricks, and manage to remove that .

Two things first was dreamquest isn't accessible at all at the moment, but perhaps that will change in future. Another game I tried was soulforge which is surprisingly accessible, but the devs say they'll be changing up the look of the game and are unsure on how to make it accessible at all. I only mention this because perhaps someone can download it and try it out to explain what they can do

Well revisiting this topic, There was a browser based thing called Fallen worlds at one time, I'm not sure what happened to it. It went through a major upgrade and I thought some access fixes were coming sinse it was a good idea, but bloody hard to review and play as it stood, but I'm now not sure where the game went.There are those custom skin things like ayakashi ghost guild on Ios, and I believe a couple of others, though again I've heard they have access issues. The best I heard was one called Dreamquest which was supposed to mix ccg elements with dungeon crawl single player rpg, but again, the developer had expressed interest but that was as far as things went.There is the yugio mud duelling client, though again I'm not sure what state that is in really. It's odd, people keep coming close with accessible ccgs, but not quite getting there it seems.

Hi,unfortunately, this is one of the more difficult things to do in BGT, if I understood your question correctly.It would require you to either modify the dynamic_menu include script itself or to use a callback function as described in the dynamic_menu help topic.I would personally recommend using a callback together with a sound_pool instance (using the sound_pool in your game would probably be a better idea over individual sound objects anyway), which is the more difficult way, though. It's easy enough in principle but it does require the understanding of the underlying principles.I could provide examples for both but they wouldn't probably actually teach you anything. You would make it work in your game but it would be just copy pasted code without true understanding, and that's not good for your programming future, if you see what I mean. Let me know what you think.For now, I think it would be better to do without the menu browsin
 g sounds and focus on the more integral parts of your game instead. When you get a bit farther, you will either have figured out how to do this yourself, or it will be a more appropriate time to ask this question again then.Hope this helps, and sorry I didn't give you exact directions straight away. :-)Lukas

So, there seems to be a bug. Steps to reproduce: 1. Have somebody start a game. 2. Join the game, and stay in the menu for connected players. 3. Have the host start the game while you're in the menu. It seems that if the game starts while you're in the menu, you suddenly can't move, and you need to restart to fix it. Correction: stay in the menu, hide it, then reopen it to reproduce the bug. Monthly chat April 2016

yes, another monthly chat topic. Bet you were expecting it yesterday? well ha! April fool! As usual shoot the breeze, murder a gale, and break wind about anything you fancy and anything going on in your life or your kneck of the woods, or indeed any part of the woods anatomy you happen to be in.Well it's April and things are very hechtic for me. I've got massive work to do to get the hopefully now absolutely last gbit of work done on my doctorate for may, so [[wow]]! On the plus side my dad is fine and doing much better. On the down side, my lady's desktop is not, indeed no sooner had we sorted an e-mail address than the entire windows crashed so badly I can't even run narrator. I'm not sure if it's window eyes, windows 7, or just the computer generally, but we'll hopefuly be getting it looked at tomorrow. There is also innumerable wedding related things and immigration related things to fix, indeed all the stuff that had to be on ho
 ld due to my dad being unwell has avalanched a little. On the plus side, we did have two friends over to stay last night which was lovely, probably our first couples night out, involving an awesome mexican meal at a great restaurant, and then one of the most hilarious phone calls to a pizza place in order to get some coke for my long time random friends' girlfriend (who I have just met for the first time and who is lovely), to mix with her rum. #That was fun, particularly the astonished "just coke!" we got from the poor takeaway man when asking him if we could just order some bottles of pop. So, crazy! indeed. Today however I get a bit of a break, albeit i'm trying to play drakor, talk about drakor on the forums, and! think enough to review mercedes lackey's arrows fall all at once! So yee gods methinks my brains going around. Oh well, at least that'll mean any zombies who go for a gnosh on it end up nice and dizzy
 ! Hope everyone else is having a good 2016.

So, there seems to be a bug. Steps to reproduce: 1. Have somebody start a game. 2. Join the game, and stay in the menu for connected players. 3. Have the host start the game while you're in the menu. It seems that if the game starts while you're in the menu, you suddenly can't move, and you need to restart to fix it.

Well I doubt headings and standard controls will happen sinse they would take a major rewrite of the game's interface, and to be perfectly honest I don't see the need for them if people use their screen readers correctly. The game page has two major sections. The first tab is the page that has the number of online users, global perks, game stats, inventory, armory, explore the world etc at the top, what is going on in the middle and the time at the bottom. Stuff that is a link such as pets, manual and my account change the section page. The second page appears under the link to "drakor rules" and has in it either the chat by default, or things like the manual, questlog, pets info, account settings etc. First, to turn on "accessibility mode" hit the link for account and find the check boxes, once you check them the change happens by default. Then, in the chat pain (get back either by hitting the image for drakor.com
  or by just hitting account again), go to "close MoTds" ie, the announcements of what game changes have occurred etc. Now you will be ready to play. First, quests and exploring. You can always find where the main text of the page starts sinse the last link in the table is "pets" I ususally find this by going alt tab from the bottom and then reading down. This will detail who is at a given location, with what players (you can click on these), a description of the area and a list of actions which include talkiing to npcs, mining, doing trades, hunting for creatures etc. To do these things, hit the correct text. So to talk to an npc like the steward od Danar you meet, find the text that says "talk" under the steward's name (this should be easy with a few down arrow hints from pets). Once you activate something like that the pannel will change and you'll get the information. To interact with an npc, jus
 t read and click on the text you want, eg, when you get given a quest click on the response like "Yes I will" or something like that. When your done, click on "back to adventure" Under the actions menu, is a list of nearby areas you can click on for details, and a link to "view world map", this is inaccessible, but provides a good marker sinse the movement directions are just undernieth, these show the direction of travel, a timer, and the place, eg "south 6s, mudpits outside danar" The questlog that I believe Slj was looking at is a list of all in game quests which shows how complete they are. You can click on each quest for a reminder of where you are with it and what your looking for, however to actually initiate the quests you need to talk to npcs (you will find one at the gates of danar location where you start).Most things you view in the game whether in battle or in the inventory, items, skills etc will come up at t
 he top. there will be an "x" to close the information, and other links to "equip" or disenchant etc. IN the inventory, at the top will be your character details and stats. Under this is your equipment, hands, legs etc, when something says "slot" it means your not wearing anything in that location, eg, if it just says "headslot" you don't have anything on your head, which is why it didn't work, where as if it says "weapon, 1" it means you have a level 1 weapon equipped and can click to view at the top.Under this is your battle stratogy and what abilities you have equipped for battle, these will be displayed type, quality, level, durability. eg, damage, rare, 1, 15. Under  these will be hotspots for your inventory options (important for changing between trade inventory and item inventory), how many slots you have, and then a list of what items you have available displaysed in the same way
  as your battle abilities. There are two ways to get to these quickly. Firstly, you can do a search for the text "slots" and use your screen reader's jump function to go streight to the top of the inventory. Secondly, you can shift tab back until you find "drakor rules" and then up arrow from there through your empty slots to your items. You actually won't be having lots of items hang around in the game so it's not as bad as you think and sinse Drakor has a rather unique inventory system showing empty slots makes sense. When you equip things, you will have a heading asking to equip and quite often a confirmation. When swapping out battle stratogies, you'll get a dropdown combo box asking in what slot to put what ability. it's all fairly standard and again shouldn't be a problem provided you use your screen reader to read the text. As to battles, here is where find text is very necessary. You have your char
 acter stats and those of the enemy at the top, followed by your abilities, then the round display towards the bottom with new rounds added to the top of the display, eg "attack round # 1". This is where I personally always use Supernova's ability to jump to text. I jump to the # so that I can get to the most recent combat round and read it.

This kind of strategy is now quite popular thanks to things like Steam Early access (for those unaware it's basically a section of Steam where developers put up pre-release, alpha/beta games for purchase). Quite often these games cost less while in this stage and the price later goes up when development is finished. Then there's crowd funding where there's more than enough people willing to pay more than the final price to get access to early testing, to get a poster or some other perk. Personally, I'm OK with the price of games being smaller, then going up later as development progresses, but only if this is clearly stated. So if a game has been out for a while as a stable release, then a month or more/less time later the developer suddenly raises the price without warning, I think that's a jerk move and shouldn't happen.

I agree that accessibility is somewhat spotty, and to be fair, the developer probably didn't have accessibility in mind when he made it. I'm not seeing the accessibility option make much difference, and the game needs more headings and such -- it's such a chore to navigate battles, for example. Click use or pass on an item, scroll all the way down to where combat starts or use screen reader find, then scroll back up or use find to go back to your skills and repeat... It got a bit too tedious for me. I'm sure sighted players have no issue at all with the set up, and for them that's great. For me, though, this is entirely too much effort to play a game.Suggestions:Divide the battle screen up into multiple sections, with appropriate headings for each: Your stats, enemy stats, your available battle abilities, your used (and thus unavailable) battle abilitie

Well I could see a situation where this would be needed. Say a developer didn't think a game would do too well and so sold a version four 1 usd with 5 levels. Then however, everyone liked the game, so the developer decided to write five additional levels or some extra modes, and therefore decided to up the price to 2 usd, after all, sales would support a larger game than expected and why should the developer do extra work for nothing?Of course, the developer could sell the additional five levels and extra modes as an in ap upgrade, but if say the developer wanted to insert the additional five levels not after the first five but among them, then the developer would probably be more adviseable upping the price. The only problem i could see this causing is there would need to be a way for those who bought the initial game to pay the difference if they decided for the upgraded version, and equally if some people decided not to buy the upgrade they would still need a
  working game after the fact.Of course, the problem I suspect is that this sytem could too easily be misused. An unscrupulous developer might for example simply raise the price when the game did well just because they felt they could, and to all those who said "Hay why was your game five dollars yesterday but eight dollars today?" could just reply "well hard luck to you, I! decided to raise the price" So like anything, a two edged sword and a tool people should use with caution I think, though so long as the developer doesn't disrespect their customers there shouldn't theoretically be a problem, albeit customer respect and actually recognizing that a vender has as much obligation on them to provide to the customer as the customer has to pay for the product is not an idea encouraged in todays reduction to numbers society where customers are just walking mechanisms for converting product into prophet.

NVDA doesn't think it's a backquote, the synthesizer does. NVDA is sending it, eloquence reports it as a backquote. And, technically, they are the same, it's just that you don't have to generate the unicode character. Actually, now that I think about it, they may be different terms, I believe the ` symbol has uses in programming.

 of this memo is unlimited.Abstract   Because Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) transmits data in frames of bytes, it is fairly easy to envision ways to compress SONET frames to yield higher bandwidth over a given fiber optic link.  This memo describes a particular method, SONET Over Novel English Translation (SONNET).Protocol Overview   In brief, SONNET is a method for compressing 810-byte (9 lines by 90 bytes) SONET OC-1 frames into approximately 400-byte (fourteen line decasyllabic) English sonnets.  This compression scheme yields a roughly 50% average compression, and thus SONNET compression speeds are designated OCh-#, where 'h' indicates 50% (one half) compression and the # is the speed of the uncompressed link.  The acronym is pronounced "owch."   Mapping of the 2**704 possible SONET payloads is achieved by matching each possible payload pattern with its equivalent Cerf catalo
 g number (see [1], which lists a vast number of sonnets in English, many of which are truly terrible but suffice for the purposes of this memo).Basic Transmission Rules   The basic transmission rules are quite simple.  The basic SONET OC-1 frame is replaced with the corresponding sonnet at the transmission end converted back from the sonnet to SONET at the receiving end. Hi all. I'm just started playing this avesome project, but have a few questions. First of all, when the pathfinder says no path, it's true? I mean the nurse in the pokémon center is reatchable. And how can i hatch the egg? Professor elm wants it but i can't. Due to this that i can't go further in the story, i vandered the dark cave, and found some stones. Can i do with them something?
