yes I do agree and it is not for me

I love living in Fairfield because we have been here so long and
have so many friends here and it is small town living at its finest
very easy. You give up amenties but they are close by if you need
them. Not like some cities but enough to get by it is very sweet
but the whole TMO thing makes me feel so jailed in this town. I try
to just stay away from it . I am sure in some big city I would feel
jailed by traffic or something else. I do feel very safe here which
goes a long way these days , but yes I think it has always been this
way the weak are around MMY. They may be brillant but they cant
think for themselves at all and are happy to blindly follow a
master. Does he take advantage of that probably why would he want to
waste his energy going up against all the non believers.

 I never saw any.

Suzie Dillbeck did plenty. Also Rhoda Orme-Johnson and other ladies with

Here's Rick's question and the answer to it, in two short
posts. Gullibility is having made the decision to believe
someone, and believe in someone, no matter what. It
renders one incapable of even hearing something other
than what the authority has said. Does Maharishi play
with this, knowing that his followers have lost their ability
to discriminate? Well, duh.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits

2005-08-02 Thread Llundrub

I'm not putting you on about this. It's just the strangest
phenomenon in the world, but it happens. And far moreoften than
you might think,-You mean the
atraction between a man and a woman is strange even when it's between a teacher
and student? I don't find that strange at all really. I therefore have chosen
the path of the Ngakpa who is basically the Buddhist tantric householder. At
least there can be no sexual scandals amongst ngakpa, unless of course the
teacher is just fucking everybody.

I mean, consider being a teacher. You're sitting
on a platform for long hours and the blood is pooling in your loins. Your
ass feels flat and you're craving a good set of asanas. Thank God the meeting is
over and you leave. But then half way back to your floor...

The acolytes have gone and the wife of your assistant
is clearing the flowers and tidying up. You go back to the room to get your
spare dhoti that you left on the back table. It's your favorite bacause it
doesn't bind up when you sit on it and pull your shoulders and
hair.

The wife sees you and does a bow and namaste and looks
up at you with startling green eyes and the most intense blue black hair you've
ever seen and you can smell the freshness of it. H, what is that? It smells
like fresh Nag Champa blossoms.

She also has lips that are as plush as a new feather
pillow and she says, "Can I do anything for you...Master?" You are about
to run out of the room but think that would be rude so you say, "No thanks." And
she frowns.

And all of a sudden you feel sorry for her, and sort of
love her and have a hardon under your cloak. You want to tear away but to
do so is somehow harder than you could imagine because all you have waiting for
you backinyour room high is an open window and those sterile Alps
jutting high into the clouds, anda hard matress and thin silk sheets and
acopy of themanu Smriti, and it all somehow now just seems so
empty.

Then you realize it would be so full if she was naked
on that bed, giving that ripe fruit of a mouth to you to drink from, giving her
vagina like a clasp for your hook, and you think that unless you pursue this all
your future days and night will be misery. In fact, due to the very nature of
your normally empty mind now she has assumed some cosmic importance that you
just cannot overcome. You know it must be the will of Mother Divine. You never
even consider that George, her husband is your most devoted servant, who loves
you and will do anything for you.

Meanwhile she's thinking, "George loves this man and
will do anything for him. He sort of smells like rancid sesame oil but look at
those deep and mesmerizing eyes. It seems like he can read my very soul. I've
never been stripped so naked before, having sex would just be like so natural
after the way he undressed my mind like this." George retreats to some mental
background hum and the Masters eyes and voice, the way he says, "hummg" it all
sort of tears you apart...

You go back to his room and get naked. He digs into
your crotch with his kneeding little fingers and pastes his mouth to your neck
but wont kiss your mouth. You feel like you must have bad breath maybe?
Itmust bethe ginger tofu, it always makes you have to brush your
teeth. And as you're thinking of your bad breath he gets his cock in you
and then it's over as fast as it began and he asks you to leave.

Not hard for me to imagine at
all

Damn. Just as I was planning to fade in to the FFL sunset.

The soap opera quality here reminds me of when my first wife was
pregnant with our first son at MIU. All she could do was lie in our
pod room and throw up and watch TV. The only channel we got on our
crappy little BW TV was ABC: All My Children, One Life to Live and
General Hospital (anyone remember Luke Laura?). As it was only
during this time slot that she wasn't feeling totally like shit, that
was our time together. We actually named our son Jaimini, partially
due to Indian saint and (more likely) because there was a cute kid on
one of those damn soap operas named Jamie.

I did both of our class work (statute of limitations on that one?) and
tried to get her potatoes from the commissary, as it was the only thing
she could keep down. A potato baked in our equally crappy toaster oven.
You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get a few lousy taters. I
showed them her meal card, saying she wouldn't be eating at the
cafeteria and could I have a few potatoes. Suffice it to say I had to
get a friend who had commissary privileges to smuggle the spuds (man,
who knows what the statute is on that one!)

Anyway, I vowed after all of that, never to watch a soap opera again.
And here I am on FFL. Funnily enough (remember that phrase?) I met a
Scientologist who used to be on one of those shows. He opened his talk
by saying he had been on a soap opera with the most unlikely title and
made us guess. Yup: One Life to Live

Ain't no lady Rajas...

If you look at the photos of the recent Raja
coronation ceremony (somebody posted a link a
couple weeks ago), many of them are pictured
side-by-side with their wives, but the captions
read Raja So-and-So of Wherever; the women
aren't mentioned, as if they didn't exist.

(Actually at first the captions said, Raja So-and-
So and Wife, but apparently somebody felt that
gave a little too much recognition to the women,
so the and Wife was subsequently removed from
the captions.)

The respect is more like lip service, as someone
here observed a while back, at least in terms of
women having any voice in running the movement at
the top levels.

Perhaps because I've spelled it wrong.

Sheharezade was the wife of a sheik in the 1,001 Arabian Nights who
married a new wife every day and then killed her in the morning.
Sheharezade's solution to not being killed was to tell the Sheik a
wonderful story every night but to leave out the ending so that he
wouldn't kill her in the morning because he had to wait until the
night for her to give the ending which she would then start in on a
new story that night and, again, leave out the ending. that way she
outlived the king.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits and outlandish schemes.

2005-08-02 Thread pibssmith
I think that MMY knows these outlandish schemes wont get achieved
time after time year after year , but in effect it is some technique
for his true believer type die hard followers. I am not one and get
angry when these relative goals dont occur and dont really want to
be a part to this cult anymore that follows a master no matter what
he says whether it happens on the relative plane or not but I have
to belive he knows what he is doing and it gets his followers to
know his wishes and to strive for them as goals. If not then he
would be so angry at everything we had not done or achieved by now
he would have shut us down a long time ago way before England.
Hopefully someone tells him we dont even have 500 in the domes
period no less to fly and 2,000 to live in Vedic City is our Ru
population or not even with everyone doing other techniques etc and
we are not leaving our mortgage homes for some prefab structure. It
will be great for renters. So I think he gives the weak followers
who cant think for themselves these projects so that they have some
path and for the rest of us who can think for ourselves we dont need
that master thing.

Sounds to me like there's another gullible person posting in
this
   exchange...

Well, duh.

I can't address whether or not MMY said these things or whether or
not he was having sex
with the woman, but I CAN suggest that it would be rather odd to
have sex with a guru-
worshiper and inform her that he didn't respect the guru-
worshipers...

Here1s
   another
theory. When Jennifer was in M1s room late at night in

Westerners as
   gullible

   from
making fools out of people. Perhaps, as with any addiction,
he has
   had to
keep increasing the weirdness ante in order to continue
gratifying
   this
streak. If there is any truth to this theory, I wouldn1t
assume
   this was his
only motivation. He1s a master at incorporating paradoxical
   tendencies. I
would suggest that plenty of altruism is mixed with the
cynicism.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits

2005-08-01 Thread gullible fool

and there's no reason to demand to know
when Brahman is going to awaken some of his people.

I'm certainly not demanding. In fact, my question So,
when is Brahman going to actually awaken some of his
people?, was a rhetorical question.

The awful thing is, if we assume MMY is a tool
of Brahman, we no longer have any basis for
assuming folks like Bevan and the rajas aren't
also tools of Brahman.

Everyone, everything is a tool of Brahman, of
 Santana Dharma, of
Nature. We are all delivering karma and
 absorbing karma, in the
   big multi-dimensional, galactic, interactive pin
 ball game called
   creation.

What would be scary if Bevan and the Rajas were
 not tools of
Brahman. Then we would be in the metaphysical and
 spiritual
  twilight zone.

Creation is not just about flowers blooming and
 perpetual spring.
Its also summer fall and winter.

In that case, we're not granting any special status
to MMY when we say he is a tool of Brahman to
 awaken
Brahman, and there's no reason to demand to know
when Brahman is going to awaken some of his people.

 One answer could be Exactly!

Another might be, Some tools are power tools, some are hand tools,
 some are made by Catepillar

and there's no reason to demand to know
when Brahman is going to awaken some of his people.

 Not sure what that means.

Look up at the very top, the second paragraph.

Sort of like, Why do bad things happen
to good people?

[FairfieldLife] Re: Clown Suits

2005-08-01 Thread sparaig
So the Pillow Talk with the Great Man consisted of him bashing
everyone who was willing to work for him because they were so
gullible?

Sounds to me like there's another gullible person posting in this
exchange...

another

would suggest that plenty of altruism is mixed with the cynicism.
