Here is the final design of the Delta 44 interface kit.
Changes include filters and capicitors on all 8 audio lines both 'mic' lines
now have filters and caps. Also the audio jacks were slighly different pin-out
from expected and required another hole. The tolerance on the mounting

Just an update.
Delta 44 external replacement box.
Tony has produced 6 prototype boards for me which I intend
to test sometime next week and perhaps modify the final circuit board design.
I have just ordered most of the parts for 56 kits and will probably
go for a product

that mistake.

When you change from -10dBv to +4dBu on the line out side, you greatly
increase the voltage being sent to the radio. Please change the voltage
if you make this change. I would limit the change to receive and this

Hi all, I just upgraded to the Delta 44 as I had been using the Audigy 2 ZS
up till now.
One thing I cant seem to find is how one controls the line in gain, as it is
un-highlighted set on 20. I believe I read that these are defaulted, non
changable values unless you select "unsupported card"

This is an inquiry message to access interest in a Delta44 interface
kit designed by Bill Guyer and discussed on the reflector. The design after
discussions with Bill and Tony includes RF filtering on all audio lines with
SMT chips. The chips chosen are large enough for easy solde

A peanut gallery comment: The basic design starts out BALANCED and it is
made unbalanced in the SDR-1000 hardware. On RX, the differential I/Q
signals from the QSD are each fed into balanced op-amps which is where
the I/Q signals are made unba
Exactly, Bill.
It seems like a simple, one Op-Amp solution.
I'm not in that business anymore, there is a little more to consider
than meets the eye, but neither complex nor difficult.

If I understand what you're suggesting, it would take phase inverting the audio
to two of the channels to achieve differentially driving or receiving a line.

Thinking ouside the box, one could view the D44 this way:
Not 4, single-ended, in/out ports,
But 2 pairs of differentially driven ports.

You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear. The SDR is unbalanced,

the Delta 44 does not have truly balanced inputs and outputs,
