After 38 years at Columbia, I have retired as the Middle East/Jewish
Studies Librarian--sort of. I will be working part-time probably through
September, trying to solve all the problems that I put aside over the years.
Retirement will mean I can do even more travelling. On my first day, I went

At the end of May I am retiring from the library world after more than 40
years. During that time I have worked in a variety of library settings --
university, public, special, day school and, lastly, the Colorado Agency
for Jewish Education (CAJE) for 16 years.

Hebrew Manuscripts at the Jewish National Library.

After twenty years of being the director of the Cultural and Learning
Center here at Beth El, I have decided to retire in June. I wanted
to let you all know, even though I will be attending AJL conventions
in the near future, and remain one of the co-chairs of the 2009 AJL
