Heh! I was enjoying being Ann's pet, or so I thought.
Back to being just one of the rabble now. ;)

Dave, you'll find the bulk of it in the /Applications folder. Probably
"Adobe Photoshop CS". You could just drag it to the trash and empty
it.
Some bits and pieces will be in /Library/Application Support/Adobe but
sorting out what's still needed by other apps is time-consuming, so
I'd not worry
Unless they changed something radically, you should still get updates.
I keep a copy of WinXP in VMware to run the odd Windoze thing and it
still gets updates from time to time. The few times I've installed it
from scratch, it has spent the next three or four days installing
updates from ancient
Love it, Bill.

This will likely only interest one person here, whose name rhymes with
"lair E". But it's pretty darned cool, and reveals that Weegee
actually used IR film and special IR flash bulbs. I did not know that.
I agree, Paul. That's why as a photographer, I use a Mac for all my
computing needs.
I have tried to run Linux as a desktop machine and it's a huge
productivity killer and "world of hurt". I spent more time tweaking
and twiddling things and trying to find out why stuff I took for
granted in a
If you think that selecting a new camera from scratch is hard -- so
many choices with hundreds of tiny detailed differences between them
-- just wait until you start selecting a Linux distro to run. Heh!
Good luck.
The Gimp is somewhere near Ps CS3 in ability lately. I expect it would
suit you.
Those colours really make that, Jack. I like it.

I enjoyed that gallery, Dave. It's impressive they have been able to
keep that beautiful engine going for so long. A shame if they can't
keep going.

Wow is my reaction to this article. Author carefully tests the light
quality from 28 available LED products and also thoroughly explains
his measuring criteria, methods, and baseline sources, like the sun.
Especially interesting is how he shows that CRI is actually very
misleading when comparing

Hi Luke; I'm a happy 645z owner. I have had in succession, a K100D
Super, K20D, K-3 and now the 645Z, a camera which has become my
preferred carry and handles 97% of what I shoot.
Using the same kind of logic as "going to get nearly the same results
with the K1" you can easily convince yourself

Time is worth something. That's what stops me from diddling with every
single piece of software that happens along, because to do it usefully
takes a lot of time. I'm always disappointed when something that looks
very promising turns out to have a fatal flaw such that all my
experimenting time was
