I also had a squeal issue with my Quickbeam and tried several brakes and pads

panniers in the rear. My friend who has done a lot of touring says I will need
more weight in the front, ie front panniers to distribute the load better. Can

My QB is my favorite bike. When I am in shape and the bike is unloaded there

Sounds like a great ride. I will warn people that the climb from Ohio Pyle
park to Falling Water is about 3 miles of 300% grade. At least that is how it
seemed the year we tried it on a tandem with the wrong gearing and an out of

I will second the internal hub. Sounds like your knees are no longer up to
having only one speed any more so it is time to get some gears. When I have to
do something with my QB because of my old knees this is the way I will go. It
has much more cool factor then a deraileur bike.

Given all the various rubber componds available you would think that it would
be possible to create a solid tire that would ride like a pneumatic tire.

If I recall correctly the Rambo is not a could candidate for a 650b conversion
becuase it has low bottom bracket to start with. Someone let me know if this
