[arr] My Experience of KMMC
Dear Friends, It's true. This is my experience with KM Music conservatory. It was hot sultry afternoon. I had already got permission from my boss for getting the prospectus of KMMC.A car was heading towards Anna Nagar, so i toogot into it. I told the driver, i will get down at Vadapalani, but the driver was kind enough to drop me at the holy gates for us. Yeah the gates of Rahmanji.I called up KMMC Office. Due to some network problem i had to keep on calling them thrice. I told them i'm waiting at gates of Rahmanji's residence. I was told to wait there and they will send a person to take me. I wonder if anyone would send a person to pick us, if we fail to make ourselves. When i entered, the reception showed me a warm smile and cognized me as i called them thrice :) I was then introduced to this Noble Lady Mrs.Jothi Nair Belliappa. She was very soft spoken and she attended all her calls with lots of patience and with same tempo. It's difficult to repeat the same details again and again. But she was maintaining her cool. Wow!. It was at that time Mr.Rajeevan had called. She was so humble, in replying him about his travelling all the way from Malayais. Instead she asked to send a demo tape. She then enquired about my personal details and musical background. I told her everything what i know. it was nice meeting them. Please do bless/pray, as i'm fondly looking forward this BIG thing in my life. and also best wishes to others who are going to join KMMC. - Original Message From: rajeevan [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, 14 May, 2008 7:47:13 PM Subject: [arr] KM Music Conservatory Applicants. Dear members, I'm from Malaysia, I got all the recent mails from KM Music Conservatory too. I was so happy and called KM Music and spoke to Dr Jyothi Nair yesterday. She was so humble to me. I asked her do I need to come down to Chennai for the auditions and she replied, well I understand that coming down to Chennai for an audition itself will cost a lot. Maybe you could send in your sample CDs or something but I will have to ask Mr. Rahman or the GM first. haha..I also asked her about the numbers of applicants. She replied there were about thousand of applications we got. OMG thousand and only 80-90 will be chosen. But I always hope that I must be one among the 80. Well I dunno whether I'm sellfish, but I would do anything to get an admission into this music school. It also depends on the outstanding audition performance. From now on I will try my level best to get into KM Music Conservatory. As of now, I'm thinking of glying down to Chennai first. Is there any international students really interested to join the conservatory too? Please keep all of us updated here regarding your applications and some of the unknown terms and condition that some of you may have known. Wishing all the applicant all the best luck. The film Roja was released and with it, a new music sensation blossomed in the Indian film industry, attracting droves of fans, mesmerized by his melodies. Their chotti si asha is simply to have the pleasure of listening to A R Rahman's music and perhaps, watching him perform live, and if they were really lucky, say a few words to the musical genius in person. Meet the A R Rahman Fans. What started off as an e-group, set up by Gopal Srinivasan, a Bangalore-based consultant, is, today, a veritable database of all things Rahman. From several media interviews to rare recordings of his tracks and the inside information on when a new album will be released, these die-hard fans are truly connoisseurs of Rahman's art. The intent behind establishing this group was straightforward — to use the power of the internet to network with Rahman's fans around the world so that we could share the joy of listening to his music. In many ways, it is Rahman himself who is responsible for the popularity of this group — his music and his appeal cutting across barriers. I am guilty of initially under- estimating the global reach of his music — little did we realize that we would have people from so many countries across the world joining in, says Gopal Srinivasan. And indeed, today, the e-group has over 13,000 members. On a rather sultry Sunday evening, a few members of the group in Bangalore gathered in front of the rose garden in Cubbon Park to talk about their passion. Quite befitting, considering that for most of them, their love affair with A R Rahman's music began with the film Roja (rose), and like his music, their devotion to his talent has only increased from strength to strength. Says Kangan Upadhyay, who works in a software company, We heard the songs of Roja before they were officially released. And although I didn't know the language, I could relate to those songs.'' And she gives credit to the music director for her superb scores in her II PU exam. At that time, the music of Alaipayuthe was released, and I kept listening to it all the time while studying. I scored 99% in Maths. I kept humming the songs in my mind even as I was writing the paper,'' she recalls with excitement. The way Rahman's compositions revolutionized Indian film music is something the fans immensely respect. He brought in a whiff of freshness,'' says Balaji Rajagopal, a chartered accountant. He brought to Indian films a sound which was, until then, only heard in jingles,'' says Chandrashekhar Ganesh, a techie. Earlier, viewers would walk out of the theatre for a smoke when the songs would come on. Rahman's music changed all that,'' says Gomtesh Upadhyay aka Gomzy, a techie. He's even a good singer,'' says Vithun Kumar, a BE student. Adds Shahnawaz Gaffoor, a techie, His music is international.'' Not surprisingly, Rahman's concerts are always a grand event, akin to international acts performing in India. And these fans ensure they are there to watch Rahman live. Most of them took off to Chennai recently, when Rahman performed there for a concert organized by The Times of India. In fact, it was during the 2005 concert in Bangalore when the city's fans met each other in person. They volunteered backstage and even had T- shirts created especially for the event. Rehearsals are when they get to interact with the maestro. Some of the members have even met him at his residence in Chennai. Once, I went to meet him at his place. As he was busy he told me to come the next day. He asked me if I was a non-vegetarian. Since I wasn't, he ensured that vegetarian food was ordered for me,'' says Prabhu Krishnamurthy, a techie. During the 2005 concert, they even gifted Rahman a montage of all his album covers, about 94 — both film and non-film scores. It now adorns a wall in his studio. And needless to say, if a fan wants to meet him at the studio, those

Author: rayrai2k [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 22nd March 2008 16:53 Correct me if I am wrong Ni Mein Samajh gayi Bass appears programmed on a synthesizer. Chaiyyan Chaiyyan was a song where the guitar (Bass Lead)dominates and creates a rock kind of environment. This was an exceptional master piece including the song itself which no other music directors have been successful with such experiments. If another bass guitar work claims its the Noor Un ala song where the beginning Noor Noor Noor word is sung and the Bass mix is just unique. Now remember kabhi Neen Neem from Yuva, how come nobody noticed the beginning and the first interlude a brilliant composition and programming. The beginning of kandukondein kandukondein is mesmerizing but is always special. Kehna hi kya (Bombay) was done completely on a Bass guitar and claps leaving aside the alaap from our BOSS in the first interlude. It would be crime if I dont consider Tu Hi re (Bombay) which was again a complete Bass Guitar These were just the few rays from the sun more its discussed is the more light. RDB Illayaraja also had enough good songs in their kitty with IR himself being an excellent guitar performer he too tried few exceptional songs. Churaliya hain Tumne jo dil ko from RD Burman is an evergreen song. --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Personally the most powerful track wth the bass i like is ni mein samajh gayi. .the entire song ìs done wth only the bass Reply Header Subject: Re: [arr] Is using bass guitar unique to ARR? though i like Rahmanji's songs, the two on the top priority would always be 'Kannamoochi yenada' rendered by Chitraji. It has combo of two beautiful healing raagas Natakurinji and Sahana. and next would be 'Ennuyir Thozhiyae' rendered by Unnimenon Sir and Chinmayi. I like the taans by Chinmayi after the pallavi. Also the starting music has no match till date. Re: [arr] Jodha Akbar Music Review by Tanushree Saha
Coincidentally my Hindustani guru's name is Mrs. Tanushree Saha. She is a Bengali and wanted to listen Tamil songs. She too likes Rahman Sir's songs very much and had requested me to get her tamil songs. I had given her a lot of Rahman Sir's and Raja Sir's songs. She used to listen and wonder about Rahmanji's music and tell one and only Rahman could do it. Though no relation to your subject line. was telling this for the equivalence in the name of the reviewer Regards, Vijaykrishnan - Original Message From: Vithur [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, 7 February, 2008 12:06:20 PM Subject: [arr] Jodha Akbar Music Review by Tanushree Saha Music Review: Jodhaa Akbar http://www.indiatar get.com/cgi- bin/slide_ shows.cgi? 1003:7 by Tanushree Saha Alas! The wait comes to an end. The music of the most awaited release of the year 'Jodhaa Akbar' directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai is out with splendor and perfection. Director Ashutosh and music director A.R. Rahman have had excellent partnership and produced hit music earlier. Composed by music maestro A.R.Rahman, Jodhaa Akbar's music is magical, spectacular, bracing, pleasant and different from the tunes and beats of the contemporary style of music. The first track Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah starts off with roaring horns and booming drums as we are introduced to our emperor Akbar, his power and stature. With the incredible crisp arrangements of 12 different kinds of percussion instruments in the song, A.R has composed a masterpiece and the effect of the song is just wild. The singers Mohammad Aslam, Bony Chakravarty voice's are just perfect for this score. A.R. Rahman is quiet simply at his best with this song. The heart-warming romantic track Jashn-e-bahaara is enticing, making you hit the repeat button several times. The slow but richly soothing melodious tunes of string variants and tabla just flows smoothly into your ears as if to ease your soul. Javed Ali's tone of voice blends rightly with the tunes creating a most joyous effect on the ear! Pure unadulterated music - a winner! After two beautiful love songs, its time to go spiritual with the Sufi qawwali, 'Khwaja Mere Khwajaa'. Rendered by the maestro A.R. Rahman himself, its an authentic qawwali, the kind heard in the shrines and dargahs. As is well known that Akbar visited the shrine of the famous saint Salim Chisti (Fatehpur Sikri), wept, pleaded and prayed there to be granted a son who would inherit his empire. The qawwali also has an instrumental version, and the instrument predominantly used is the oboe, a woodwind instrument (modified version – bassoon) played to perfection by Leighann Woodard. From praises for the emperor you are taken to the world of two lovers with In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein. Once again with the soothing tunes of strings interwoven with the beating of drums, the song is dipped in passion and is just breathtaking. Sonu Nigam renders another emotional track with Madhushree providing supporting vocals. The tunes, the voice and the chorus vary in energy with the proceedings and the final outcome is a stunning melody by A.R. This is the best romantic track that proudly tops the charts of JA. The final track Man Mohana sung by Bela Shende is yet another soft track with tunes like that of a bhajan. It's is a situational track that might not be pleasing to all but even in this the blending of various instruments is just mind-blowing. In the context of the movie, the number will serve an important purpose in showing that Jodhaa was a woman of substance and she stuck to her own faith and religion and the emperor respected her faith. So those were our impressions of Jodhaa Akbar, the audio album which finally hit the stores after many postponements, but when it did, the wait was definitely worth it! Rahman has done it again and his fans are savoring his masterly compositions. But isn't that always the case, even when it is served on time? Definitely and surely a must buy, as it may not be a classic, but will surely become one in the days to come. -- regards, Vithur A.R.RAHMAN - MY BREATH LIFE FORCE Get the freedom to save as many mails as you wish. Raasaathi (Thiruda Thiruda): My favourite song in that album. Also, one of the songs that Shahul Hameed is best remembered for, other than Usilampatti pennkutti in Gentleman. Other than probably a base guitar somewhere in the background (and I'm not even sure about that), this song is a capella, with a lot of humming in the background and Shahul's plaintive voice in the lead. Her voice sounded tired, strained, and clearly much older than the woman being depicted on screen. To me, that song is one of Rehman's eminently forgettable choices. But Lukka Chhuppi… who else could have conveyed Waheeda Rehman's heartbreak at losing her son so well? The opening lines are simple enough: We've played enough hide and seek/Now come out and show yourself. The tune isn't exactly a sad one either. But the evident ageing of Lata's voice and the tragedy being depicted on screen make it what it is. I don't think there are too many instances where Lata's voice would qualify as unconventional, but my guess is that most music directors would've ended up using a much younger voice here. Rehman chose well, and it made all the difference. (Listen here) 1. Vidai kodu engal naade (Kannathil Muthamittal) : The scene depicts a village of Sri Lankan Tamils being evacuated before the airforce bombs the place into oblivion. No matter what your politics, the sight a bunch of people leaving the place they had called home for so many years is, you will agree, heart-rending. The lyrics convey a sense of loss that remains with you long after the movie has ended. But what truly elavates the song is the quality of M S Viswanathan' s voice. Re: [arr] Those seeking Rahman from the 90s
well atleast the sound still remains very very A R Ryou can recognise an A R R track immediately even if you never heard it before this has been the case for the past 16 yearsspare a thought for music lovers of other musicians/groups.Enigma and Deep forest for example whose music i absolutely adored...the E5 album changed everything and the E6 didnt have the sound of Enigma...ditto for Deep Forest's Music Detected. On the other hand a guy like Nitin Sawhney is very much moving on the same path as A R R...his Beyond Skin still remains my all time favourite but he still maintains his sound with his latest work. Cheers Vijay On Jan 26, 2008 6:35 AM, Chord [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Been hearing mumblings about wanting the Rahman from the 90s back. My advice? Cut your losses and grieve, or celebrate with the mature and progressive composer whose brilliance is unfaded. Rahman going back in time is not going to happen. Oh, sure, Rahman will keep belting out quality/hit scores, but if you're wanting Deja Vu Rahman, forget it. And that's a good thing. If he kept going back to his 90s mould, he would be labeled as repetitive, one dimensional, etc. I'd much rather have a Rahman who moves forward, progresses and matures as a composer, and experiments, even if all his experiments don't work at the BO. BTW, to me, JA is not an experiment gone wrong. It's Rahman on top of his game. The guy is a master composer with unknown potential. If you want Rahman from the 90s, there are PLENTY of soundtracks to choose from. I love Rahman from the 90s and I have lots of CDs I can put on if I want to go back. But, I also love Rahman of today, even if I don't cherish ALL his songs, just like in the past. He's been there, done that. Time to move forward. No more Dil Se, no more Taal. Why would you want a repeat? He's done those already! The long haul, luxury Rahman express is moving forward and ready to go the distance. If you want to join him, all aboard! If not, the slower, run down, short distance Pritam/Himesh express has limited room, but no AC compartment or first class seats.

His review of '2-star' for Jodhaa Akbar and the 47 user reviews of 4.65, as of this email, is the testament to that. Tara Sharma said: 'This is an amazing platform to raise money for charity works. I will support three organisations this year, Magic Bus, Cancer patients Aids Association and Night of Life.' Last year, the marathon raised almost Rs.80 million ($2 million) for various charity groups, involving 80 NGOs. 'This year, we have set a target of Rs.100 million ($2.5 million),' said Vivek B. The number of participants has gone beyond expectations, said Singh.'We were expecting 30,000 participants, but now the number has reached 33,000,' Singh added. 'This year, the prize money has also been increased to Rs.9.6 million ($ 240,000) from Rs.400,000 ($10,000) last year,' said Hugh Jones, race director. According to the organisers, the highlight of the event would be the participation of 40 of the world's top 100 long distance runners along with India's top marathoners and half marathoners. The rest of the participants are Mumbai's sporting and fitness enthusiasts. Expected a good discussion on this. If we look at his films, where he had to project evil - like Ramyakrishnan in Padayappa, Raguvaran in Kadalan, the terrorists in Roja, they are mild i feel, even though they are good. They are the not the 'Classic' evil stuff like a pshyco, serial killer, etc..Even those pieces when listened separately would not always convey evil to a first time listener. Can somebody say what is the darkest movie that ARR has done?Fire comes to my mind. ARR is yet to do a crime thriller (KKS, Thiruda Thiruda sort of falls into that category) or horror. I was always expecting and still expect a horror movie from ARR. But I too feel, ARR would not be able to connect to such dark emotions like anger, horror, ill intent, torture, etc and more so as music is spiritual and reflection of his personality for ARR. On Jan 5, 2008 9:24 PM, Vithur [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I agree with you. IN fact ARR has told himself that a music composer should have a corner in his heart for sorrow. On 1/5/08, Chord [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I found it quite interesting when ARR mentioned that he finds it difficult to compose for dark emotions. I always thought that ARR was at his post potent when he composed for films that had darker themes, like 1947 Earth, Water, Fire, Dil Se, Bombay etc. He expresses and communicates sorrow and loss through his music unlike what I have ever experienced before through any composer. It's one of his magical strengths. His music has moved me to tears unlike any other composer. Examples, Bombay Theme, 1947 Earth Piano Theme, the Instrumentals of Fire, songs like Piya Ho, etc. Perhaps there needs to be a qualittative distinction here within the realm of dark emotions. The darkness that ARR is referring to in the LOTR may be described as angry, evil, menacing, ill intent, while the darknes he has composed for in earlier films had to do with more sorrow and loss, more on the melancholic axis of the darkness spectrum. ARR seems to be able to identify with sorrow and loss through his own life experiences, which he is able to communicate well through his music. Given his spiritual, whole hearted and wholesome nature, I believe it when he says that composing music that communicates evil in a broader sense would be quite difficult, since his ego is not able to identify with that axis of dark emotions. Perhaps he felt he could compose these emotions on an intellectual plane if prescribed, but not able to do full justice since his heart would not be able to connect to those core emotions. I am guessing, and I could be wrong, that ARR does not identify with anger as much as with sorrow. Regarding to his below statement, I think he lacks little open minded approach to today's MDs. I agree with his first sentence that major change in today's music is presentation style. But I don't agree with the second, the main mantra of todays MD's (SEL, VS, Rahman) is putting more emotions and creating mood in the music. That's what bringing them the success and emotional bonding with listeners. The 'sur' and the melody of Hindi film song is same as those of 60s and 70s but the presentation style and the priorities have changed. Nowadays the emotional bonding of the song with the listener is temporary as music directors give more attention to rhythm and beat and lose control over its melody due to the lack of knowledge, says the director. . . . . Ha ha.. the below statement is really ridiculous :) Do you think the Grand music in Lagaan, Taal, WOHE, Bose and some of his best tamil films are prepared in small room.?! .. Naa.. that's just a hypothetical thinking, like most of skeptics did during early days of Rahman's music. But frankly saying Rahman is master in both ways. For people who have loved Hindi music, they can never forget Dosti, Khilona, Amar Akbar Antony, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Bobby, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Ghulami, Utsav, Hero, Roti, Shor, Kranti etc. Lets not insult them. .. He did different things as well as things differently. A R Rehman prepares his music sitting in a small room whereas in our times live orchestra used to perform for the recording. I would like to share one of my experience about out boss's music. This happened long time ago. I was in Bangalore with my friends on tour. We were just roming on brigate road, we went in a music shop, we were just checking out all the cassettes. Suddenly a song was played in music store, that song sounded extraordinary and I liked that song very much. I thought in my mind 'I wish a.r. rahman compose this kind of song some day or I wish a.r.rahman had composed this song'. So I went to the owner of the shop and asked 'from which movie is this song ?' He replied its from 'Rachakand', music just release. I said ok and asked 'who is the music director ?' He said A.R.Rahman. I shocked and there was no limit of my happiness. I told my friends what happened they smiled. That song was 'Bombay Madras Delhi'. Shehzad.

Re: [arr] Re: A really bad experience - Please read it.
I too accept many MDs lift songs and present it. I would like to make my point.. MDs composes a song based on some Raaga. The Raaga can have diferent flavours. and each MD can handle it differently. For Eg if you listen to Ore naal unnai naan from ilamai oonjaladugiradhu. and also Sahana from Sivaji. the starting will have same traces because both have been tuned in same Raag Sahana(i suppose, corrections appreciated). But as the song grows there is difference. A raag can have only the same swara pattern. And a MD can use only those swaras. and it seems like copying and people get misconception tat the MDs copy. - Original Message From: Kumaresh-n [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, 8 December, 2007 10:15:25 AM Subject: Re: [arr] Re: A really bad experience - Please read it. haha... that guys doesnt seems to have any music knowledge... so no point of talking abt him.. or the issue brought up by him... Re: [arr] MISSION USTAAD
Dear, Can you give me some information about MISSION USTAAD? i am waiting for your reply hava a nice day Vijay Vithur [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: http://www.screenindia.com/fullstory.php?content_id=18117 9X and the United Nations are ready to deliver the universal message of progress and development through their joint-venture Mission Ustad X the new general entertainment channel from INX Media can take pride in its new musical competition show, Mission Ustad. Indrani Mukerjea, CEO, INX Media has joined forces with the United Nations (UN) and come up with a noble concept for their new musical show. Mission Ustad(MU), pairs eight professional singers from the Indian film industry as they compete against each other for the title of Ustad jodi. But, as clichéd as it may sound, the good thing about 9X's new show is it's for a noble cause. The prize money and generated revenue at the end of the show will be forwarded to the UN Millennium Development Fund and subsequently used for the development of India's needy population. In 2000, United Nations members pledged to eradicate poverty and usher development all around the world under the UN Millennium Development Goals programme. Their objective was to achieve their goals by 2015 and the resident coordinator UN in India, Maxine Olson revealed MU was a big step in achieving their target. Mission Ustad is the perfect way to speak to millions of people and deliver our message of development and prosperity, said Olson. Indrani Mukerjea, said the show would use entertainment as a vehicle of spreading awareness about this UN programme. Developed by Endemol, a company which has worked on shows like Big Boss, Deal Ya No Deal and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Dwitiya, MU has all the key elements of a singing competition. It's got established singing pairs like Roop Kumar and Sunali Rathod, Kailash Kher and Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vasundhara Das and Mohit Chauhan and Naresh Iyer with Shweta Pandit. These jodis, who have already established themselves as successful singers, will compose original music for selected themes related to the UN Millennium fund and the best scores will make it to the Mission Ustad album. The couple that contributes the maximum number of songs will be the eventual winner. The show like any other reality based programme has a panel of judges. AR Rahman, Javed Akhtar and Lara Dutta form that panel. Rahman particular to judge the music of the compositions, Akhtar for the lyrics and Lara represents the UN as she is the official UNFPA ambassador. It's all too familiar for a viewer to see reality shows going overboard with emotional angles and contestant conflicts, but as AR Rahman said MU is devoid of any histrionics. The contestants will have verbal debates about their opinions and issues, but end of the day it will all be dignified and in the country's interest. As a part of the show's format the contestants will be given a chance to justify their choice of song with respect to the theme involved. Javed Akhtar added to the same saying, The camaraderie on the show sets apart any cynicism and bitterness of the competition. MU will be a great source of inspirational programming. Incidentally, the show that will be hosted by Simone Singh has a rocking theme song Jaago India. The song in a sense embodies the idea behind Mission Ustad, which is to let the Indian masses know about an International programme that will help the nation's development. And all that nobility will be delivered on 9X from December 1 in the form of an entertaining and refreshing new show. -- regards, Vithur A.R.RAHMAN - THE GOD OF MUSIC - Bring your gang together - do your thing. Raihana wih Thumba Raja on FM 91.9 ( Aaha FM ) yesterday. This is the concluding part of the Interview. Thumba Raja has been associated as an Instrument Player for the past 14 years with ARR, and is a good friend of our Guru. Thumba Raja started by saying that there has been no change in ARR's behaviour, and he has been the same , as he was before 14 years. Even an office Boy of ARR would never be forgotten by ARR. His sentiment levels are high. He always remembers his relatives, who passed away because of some ailments or otherwise. He used to tell Thumba Raja that he wanted different types of sounds from Instruments. For eg. in the Table, the Na sound and the Ta sound in the Dolak should not be heard, for they are the common sounds which are heard otherwise. ARR always used to tell that regular sounds should not be heard in the Instrument. ARR always has a habit of doing Big research, like a Scientist. Always wanting something new. Although the outcome of a bit would be less, the recording time taken would be high. Will take time for experimenting with mikes, by keeping it here and there, for getting the right output. Once, Thumba bought a new instrument called Duf ( Village Type ) . He kept it in the terrace of ARR's house , for warming up during the day, but forgot to take it in the night, and the instrument became cool, and started giving different type of sounds. But ARR wanted that sound, which was quite different from what it was supposed to give, and the same instrument with that same vibration was used in the song KUCHI KUCHI RAKKAMMA ( Bombay ) - ( That initial beat - instrument ) . There is another instrument called ' Dhumak which is played by Thumba Raja . For a track in Pudhiya Mugam - Song Bhakti Paadal Padattuma, Bongos ( Instrument ) was used in 2 tracks. This sort of Latin American style was introduced by ARR. For the song in Thiruda Thiruda, he wanted something new, and an instrument was played upside down for that song ( Thee Thee. Thakida Thakida ) . The Thakida Thakida Jerry was given by Thumba Raja, and much to the surprise of himself , he found his name in the CD cover, as Jerry Raja. Hard Disk Recording started at that time, unlike spool recording which was followed before. ARR ALWAYS GIVES CREDITS TO HIS MUSISCIANS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO HIS MUSIC. FOR EG. THUMBA RAJA'S NAME WAS PRINTED IN THE CDs OF THIRUDA THIRUDA, FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE Jerries. This is because, ARR has always felt bad, when he was not given credit for his efforts by other Music Directors, for whom he had worked before. Wherever ARR goes, he woud always search for newwer instruments. His albums would be always different , and there would be a lot of things happening which can be experienced upon repetitive hearing. THUMBA RAJAS 'S PLUS POINTS AND PRAISES FOR ARR 1. Devotion to God 2. Sinceriety - 3. Perseverance towards learning an Instrument 4. His Sleeplessness. I hope You all will enjoy reading this. Re: [arr] ATM - Slow but mellow
Valayapati has become my all-time favourite. Rahmanji only knows how to use tamil instruments in this 21st century. Rahmanji is rocking with all six songs in ATM. i 've no words to explain the amazing music by Rahmanji. Yes, I too agree. Initially, I too didn't like the songs at all. But now, I have also become an addict of almost all the songs. Thats our BOSS. LONG LIVE ARR.. These days my favorite song is Valayapatti for its classic stanza. Sure some of ARR's songs take a back seat first but but become matchless after few listening. Save all your chat conversations. Re: [arr] What is ARR's ringtone?
He doesnt use öne. . . .just the normal tring tring. . .even hs phone is nvr in ringing mode. . . .only vibration. . . . Reply Header Subject:[arr] What is ARR's ringtone? Author: Kalimuthu [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 08th November 2007 05:59 I always wanted to ask this question. Can someone tell me what ringtone does ARR use? Any of his own compositions? Does he change it often? BTW, both Surya Jyothika use 'Newyork Nagaram' (SOK) ringtone, it seems.
Re: [arr] official site
Thanks fr the feedbk. . .alternate version work is on. shld be ready by the time we have jodhaa content Reply Header Subject:[arr] official site Author: Kalimuthu [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 01st November 2007 06:45 Googling A R Rahman yields arrahman.com on the top, beating wikipedia.com, which is great.. BTW, are we going to have the same Flash (welcome screen) forever? I feel Flash diminishes the seriousness of the content we are trying to depict. But we can retain flash for samples; and other contents wherever needed. Secondly, many will not like Second screen being poped up when you click 'Enter Screen'. Shall I request you to reconsider the site design? Prehaps with less animation, more focus on the text part (Like Google / Wikipedia), still, retaining flash for audio contents. Just my opinion.
