The new cast is Surya. Not sure if AR Rahman is returning.
It is higly likely that the songs were already made and lying in some corner in 
ARR's studio or Kandhi Krishna holding the rights.

why was udhaya a failure, cos the movie was supposed to be released 
before the 2000s. Loking at the  music it seems to be the trend in the  
90s from ARR

secondly, the actor vijay did nit have much of a screen presence att he

Hi fellas, Mos people if u are a causal listerner and a casuual 
audiophile will get the Grado SR 80...It offers te best value for 
money and it has much improved bass compared to the SR 60s. Anything 
above SR 80 are for studio people like ARRU can get them if u have 
money to plunge. Her ein Singapore, SR 80s cost 170 bucks at the the 
Adelphi level 2 . The shop is Music by Design

Aravind , i think The background music in many parts of the film 
"Kangalaal Kaidhu Sei" is not composed by ARR but other assistant 
composer similar to Sabesh- Murali. ARR though did the soundtrack 
songs we know that.

Sabesh-Murali is entrusted with the re-recording of ARR's films  like 
En Swasa katre, Star, Jodi etc.. These few had had re-recording by 
Sabesh-Murali. They assisted ARR since he is very busy.

But usually thes emovies are by unpopular directors such as pravin 
Kanth (ratchagan, Jodi, Star) and K.Ravi ( Mr Romeo , ESK)

Dats true KKHH cant beat Dil Se. KKHH became popular because the movie 
was more successful than Dil Se. the same as with RDB now...

And furthermore many people out there cant appreciate the difference 
between other medicore MDs and ARR. In fact they dont know the 
difference at all. These make up much of Indian music listerners.To 
them a popular song (no matter how crappy compared to  ARR standard) 
is a GOOD SONG!
There are few "critics" out there who can differentiate. Of course the 
Reviewers in the media world know the difference. This is the 
intellectual difference of the casual listerner and the hardcore music 
fan

u see , let's not sepak from a VV-godfather angle. The prob is with 
the current youth trend and the absence of ARR on the scene from the 
2000s onwards. Ai explained b4, ARR's absence had the trash outputted 
by other MDS look and feel good especially Manmatha Rasa.Futhermore 
the current teen generation dont know how to appreciate ARR's music. 
The 20s and 30s are too preoccupied with their lives.the preteen grpup 
is just too young. As u know the teen generation is important for any 
trend to catch on.  During the 90s, it was by word of mouth that ARR's 
music spread and became popular.

Here is a list i know of:

Oonjal - the rumour first started off as a new project then later 
rumoured to be as a dubbed version of ARR's Doli saja ke rakna , a 
hindi film released in 1998. But co -incidentally a dubbed version did 
happen as  Jodi which has nothing to do with this Oonjal which is 
confirmed to be a fake

Beauty Palace - Supposedly unreleased Telegu movie which was 
circulating in the stores around mid 96. Not much known except is 
could be most likely a fake.

Thullal - Supposedly to be done by ARR , A pravinth Kanth movie 
director of Ratchagan and Jodi. But ended up as done by Different MD

Hindi ver of Gentleman - Widely reported as fdone by ARR but in 
reality done by ANu Malik 

Zindagi Se Pyar Karo - Not much is known except that is  most likely 
to be a fake

Tak Dheen - Unknown and no records of it. 

Aye Taxi - a malayalam movie from 1995 by director S.V. Rajendra 
Singh Babu which has supposed BGMS by ARR. Not much is known except it 
is most likely to be a fake

Bharath of singingphotons , has it got something to do with ayngharan
 , pyramid ect? All i knew was that when come to ARR songs in the 
past...pyramid Cd's were always top notch...ALai Osai had a softer 
muted sound like minsara Kanavu and khadal Desam...I have those CDs 
and i played them to fin dout , the same Discman i used 10 years ago..

Something's wrong..ARR 's new  studio  is the most state of the art in

Hmm, like u said, in the past ARR songs of the 90s it has something to 
with the high use of Synthesized instruments ( Not real but computer 
simulated) which was in digitally manipulated form, meaning u can 
raise and lower and tweak the sound attributes to our liking...and it 
will still sound clear and crisp...unlike Live real instruments which 
need expertise in playing them to get the desired effect...Its true in 
an interview that WHen ARR made ROJa, he had to use a high number of 
computer simulated sounds because the real ones were not available in 
India...And somehow ARR continued the trend throughout the 90s..maybe 
now he's expereimenting with the real onesSince the listerners 
have got used to the computer simulated sound over the years...they 
could not pick up the new trend which ARR is experimenting with - Live 
real instruments
SOmehow they fall short on the listener's ears...

I remember ARR saying in an interview that the recording and such 
matters are also infleunced by the recording people or related 
entities. ARR said his soundtrack for Khabi na Khabi 1997 was a 
blunder
on the part of the recording people, the technical team who handles 
"sound matters" of the movie...Cant remember fully what the matter was 
but just that it has something to do with the sound quality. 
Originally the movie was made to be released in mono it seems and ARR 
was unhappy that the filmakers didnt tell him earlier or else he 
wouldnt have wasted too much effort in recording the songs in stereo

I noticed with recent ARR releases after KKS and E20U18...ARR CDs like 
Water, GF and AAH AHH have some quality issues...What happened, 
thought Technology now in the 2000s are supposed to be better?

Frankl speaking some of early 90s ARR CDs have better quality than GF 
or AHH AHH

As for GF, the audio doesnt seem to "jump out" like PAst ARR songs in 
the 90sI think ARR better start using his old equiment back.

I think this is the first time ARR had done a kuthu pattu in the style 
of the other MDs like Deva, dheena, baradwaj and HJ. This is his 
answer to them.Previously ARR had tried  such a similar song in 
Vanidcholai Sinnarasu but it was too reaptedly rhythmic to be 
considered one. Kama Karailyile  is supposed to draw the "trash 
audience" deliberately. ARR had always known market trends before...he 
proves it again without compromising on his own sincere honest style 
of composing.

Deepavali  - is like the early to mid 90s ARR songs..mood similar 
Gopala Kadhalan song and Karuthama songs.

Hey Hey saivah is more like those post 2000s trend after Parthale 
paravasam " Moondreluthu" type of songs from ARR..mix of tamil folk 
and arabic

Innisai - Like Kannodu Kaanbethalam from JEans , so it is late 90s 
trend..during this period ARR made commercially patterned songs using 
Traditional tamil carnatic. Coincidentally there is a remix track ..
the last time a remix was done was in Uyire..around the late 90s 
period

Ilamai - Post 2000s techno trends

Kama Karaiylie - the post 2000 Trash which was ouput by other MDs for 
Dhanush and Vijay movies...though it sounds like ARR song..it has the 
influencne of the other trash like Manmatha Rasa..Maybe ARR wanted to 
bank in on the trash craze which plagued the early 2000s. No comment 
on this one

Theeyil Vazunda - Late 90s trend.. mood similar to what found in Uyire 
and Jodi

ESK BGMs seems to be lacking. Usually ARR has superb BGMS in all of 
his movies even though the original soundtracks may not be so good..

Somehow ESK and KKS had not much good BGMs excpet in placesSHortly 
after ESk i think Sabesh Murali went  on to compose some music for the 
Murali starrer EeraniyanDid not turn out tasteful as well.

ITs easier to identify ..SOme of them were done by ARR and some were 
by sabesh murali.the quality and intensity of the BGM will identify...
for rg. i can gurantee the lift scene is done by ARR>..The title 
credits i dont think so.because it sounds slightly cheesey

voiceless since ESK is a realtively new DTS era movie.Try asking 
around some people here who have done it  beofre

The KKBGMS recently posted have inconsistent cvolumes ...different 
parts fo the same file have fucltuating volumes.how to correct this or

As usual rapishare not workingBTW The era of Gentleman and 
Khadhalan did not have DTS sound thenSome of the  DVDs of older 
movies before the era claim dolby digital, dont be taken in by the 
advertising..they could be done as Dolby Digital Mono. Check the label 
carefully...

Well it not not entirely impossible to rip voiceless BGMS from older 
movies in DVDs. It depends ont he how the DVD sound was made..if the 
DVD producers took the original sound of the movie Khadhalan (Stereo), 
remastered in DTS , then it could be possible. But again this happenng 
 in tamil movies is pretty rare..unless the movie is really a classic 
and distributors want to release collectors/special edition ect ect...
The advertising will be clearly or otherwise stated.

[arr] ARR should do more romantic Soundtracks

I feel there is a lack in  this the genre of songs from ARR. Songs 
like KKS, ESK, Alaypayuthey..Dont u all realise there is a saturation 
of fast trashy songs in Tamil film music after that Gemini O podu 
nonsense started? We had Manmathata rasa, Dhool, Ghilli, and other 
trash coming out in huge numbers..If ARR were do the same then it 
would not really stand outLook at some of ARRs songs ahdreing to 
this trend like AAh AHH and NEW. the songs weere hot for a while but 
after some time they died down fast...no body is remembering NEW or 
AHH AHH for everlasting quality the same way  as Uyiire song from 
Bombay, Ennavale from Khadhalan and Sneghithane from Alaypayuthey. ARR 
everlasting classics..I feel ARR should at the moment concentrate on 
Melodious love themed soundtracks to catch attention.

Also i think 4rom the  trailer, the movie seems  inspired by some 
older rajini films like BAtcha and muthu and baba...As expected it is 
KS ravikumar film..there are bound to be some influences  from his 
older films

ts really very sad that a majority of  2000s
Indian listener's like music that's stolen from English songs, trash 
like ghilli, manmatha Rasa or subpar standard songs with no uniqueness 
and creativity...

Are we seeing a paradign shift in the 2000s? Music not only ARR's but 
around the world had been good in the 90shas this got to do with 
ARR's absence in the scene in the early 2000s?

In fact our boss is god for them. Without ARR other MDs will not be 
around in a big way too...at most originality and creativity will be 
stumped wih them ripping off from English songs Consider this case of 
Deva in the early 90s..ARR set the 
trend for them to follow...after ARR 
appeared Deva started following Arr's trend in Aasai and became a 
sought after MD for a while.

next is Vidyasagar who scored big with his Kalaignan ,Senkottai, Karna 
and a 
couple of Arr inspired mid-eastern post "Bombay" songs which were 
common from Vidyasagar in the mid 90sbecame a sought after MD for 
a while.

Next was Karthik/yuvan Raja with  Ullasam and other albums like 
Poovellam ketuppar with Arr inspired mid 90s "spanish" songs...

Well lastly i would say HJ tops them all. HJ i noticed is very 
obvious. He gets his cues from ARR's BGMs too...Take his songs like 
12B and Lesa lesa all seem to be ripped off from past ARR BGMS and 
sound effects. and recycled

I didnt bother with the BGMs as it has one of the worst BGMS for an AR 
composed movie, For the info i think the bGMS were not composed by 
ARR. Only the main soundrack is done by ARR

This tip will disable the Yousendit 25 downloads limit. However, the 
file will still die after seven days, as this tip only allowed 
unlimited downloads.

When a file is uploaded to yousendit.com, a url is given upon 
completion of the upload. This url is where the file is stored and is 
given to share the file. The url originally looks like this:

http://s8.yousend...8683E2C999DB720

Now once you get this url, simply edit it by adding the following code 
to the beginning of the link:

http://anonym.to/?

Thus, the url shall read:

http://anonym.to/?http://s8.yousend...8683E2C999DB720

Please keep in mind that when using Yousendit, always rename your file 
to something insignificant, as opposed to the actual filename itself. 
A simple example is to rename TheBeatles.rar to fe565tert4.rar. I 
personally recommend putting a password on the compressed file in 
addition to renaming the file.

This simply keeps the snooping eyes at Yousendit from seeing what is 
actually being transferred. Although I am unaware of anyone being 
fined or prosecuted from Yousendit, I have heard of people being 
banned from the server for sending copywritten files none the more 
educated as to what is being transferred. Moreover, Yousendit reserves 
the right to remove any file, even on the thoughts of suspicion. It is 
troublesome to spend time uploading a file, only to have it 
immediately deleted from the server.

One of my frend in the industry told me there was a love subject  was 
to be attempted by Shankar. and that tunes were already composed by 
ARR but got shelved in 99.because a movie with a identically similar 
storyline was released
anyone can confirm?

Mybe it was  poovelam kettupaar? once i read that this movie was 
supposed to have ARR's name on it and that it went for a title change

This is one of ARR's more spiritual works.The feel of this soundtrack 
is undescribable, I think ARR had not d one anything like this before 
the 2000s because Anthimantharai was more like a half instrumental and 
half vocal based soundtrack. It had more instrumentals than any other 
ARR soundtrack. I wished the songs could all have been used properly 
in other movies instead of barathi raja's  movies. If i was ARR i 
would have separated all the songs and used one or 2 in various movies 
if anthimantharai was shelved.

Thats what i meant. Though Ahh ahha had a geat music concept, it is 
let down by poor sound enginnering, a trademark of 90s ARR songs. 
Wonder what went wrong.

I mean Kandukondain was awesome it had a totally new millenium sound, 
so was YUVA but something;s amiss with ARR recordings after 2000s.Take 
for example KKS and ESK, it was a mid 90s typical songs. KKS and ESK 
 , Andhmantharai tajmahal represent the trend of the mid 90s. Jodi, 
KD, Sangamam is  late 90s trend and Kandukondain/rhythm/PP were a 
totally different millenium trend...Also take note that some of these 
songs may overlap the time periods because the movies may be delayed 
or have a long production life/ dfferent release dates.For eg. Esk 
released in 99 could have the music done as in early 97. Jeans had the 
music done as early as late 96-97 before shankar even shot the first 
scene 
as that movie was big budget, shot overseas and shedule very 
important. For i know JEans  music was composed around early 97 
(remmeber reading on  of the first news of it around that time in a 
mag with Shankar commenting that ARR had given superb tunes for this 
movie)  it 
released exactly 2years after the last shankar movie Indian

Remember Ennavale and Pachai nirame songs? ARR should do more along 
those lines becos wadever ARR does along those lines it becomes a 
classic hit or at least a cult favourite

well whats the point of ARR movie on to millunim trends? Music trends 
in the millenium suxks more i thnk his 90s sound is just fine. And 
also look at directors like Shankar and movies like Anniyan/
chandramukhi seem to be stuck in the 90s too. i think Kandukondain had 
a truly millenium sound from ARR, so was Alaypayuthe.All of them were 
ads syled. The   year 2000 and the next 2 years follweing  the 
millnieum had music from ARR accuately depicting the millenium, maybe 
ARR wants to celebrate the millenium? then in 2003 we saw the release 
of Boys, KKS, E18U20 bringing back the 90s sounds.

ARR has better technology now than in the 90s but to  i dont see the 
corelation. His recent releases has a bad taste of sound especially 
Ahh Ahh, Mangel Pandey, Bose.
 Not magical effects we heard from him in the 90s.In the 90s ARR had a 
good sound scheme like in Khadhalan , THirudha thirudha, Bombay, 
Indian and especially the one called Andhimandharai & Khabi na Khabi 
which bit the dust. that when u hear it now it is light years ahead of 
even the 2000s. What has happened now? back then the  technology was 
not as advanced of now. In fact  present tchnology should be able to 
give ARR a better advantage. IS the lack of Shridhar somehow 
contributing to this effect? And i do notice HJ music eerirly 
resembles the sound engineering of 90s ARR songs. as u know HJ has 
worked for ARR once. did somehow ARR's sound engineers contibute to 
the success of his songs?

any thoughts?
