@CWI agree with you, the decisions, the behavior and many many other things are indicated by the country where people live, and the culture they own. The more years I pass, the more disability I'm seeing on the young blind children. The point is, they are used to get things plain in front of them right "on the table". What I'm intending to say by "On the table", is that they are used, not necessarily by themselves, to have everything ready. This idea is even grown harder by their parents by isolating their children. Imagine getting everything ready for you. You want your clothes, they are served by your parents. You want a glass of cold water, that is served by your parents. You want to plug in your computer, that is again done by your parents. What the heck is this blind folk supposed to do?The situation gets even worse when  these blind kids do not try to change anything because they feel good with it. When I went to the publi
c school, I remember some of students and teachers who intended to help me with everything and let me do nothing. But I was feeling very disabled in this situation and I told them I'm not a king or prince to have everything delivered by somebody else. Yes they wanted to even open my laptop's lit because they thought I couldn't do it myself. Primarily, This is not a bad thing because they just want to help you and I never took it for granted, but in this way you are making yourself much more disabled. Then we come to the point you mentioned."Problems on acting with the people in daily life"Basically It'll happen if parents of these blind kids  will not change their attitudes towards their children and the consequences will bring about later on their ongoing life. I think the situation has changed to what it has been ten years ago regarding disability of blind children. We were different. Not that I'm old though, I'm just

The stories are great, the sounds and voice acting is too, but those bugs are seriously crap, especially in part 3. This is a shame.

My response to being ridiculed when I don't know something is to ask my heckler something I know he doesn't that I do, that usually puts them in their place. Your question doesn't have to be about the same or similar thing you didn't have an answer to, the point is to subtly tell the detractor that they don't know everything either, but its more effective if it is.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I had in mind. It wouldn't work as well as in BK3, since there's a lot of visual decoration that could make things confusing, but it could help.Maybe something like the vOICe, but instead of scanning the whole screen, it lets you scan small sections (maybe 80x80?).I don't really have any idea how to make such a thing, however.(I think the vOICe does let you zoom in and move around, but I don't really feel like the interface is great for using it that way.)

Re: Distancing myself from the blind community

I am by no means stating that the sighted comunity is free of drama. However, the fact that the drama is such commonplace is what puts me off about the blind community. For example, last week I found 2 15 year olds fighting and when I asked what the argument was about they resorted to the "he started it" card. In yet other places, people will be extremely jealous about everything. Again, I know its not just the blind community. However, how the members of said community react upon there jealousy is unbelievably childish. Now I know it may only be with younger developers, but they will most likely be the people who will make games for the next generation of audio gamers. It's honestly quite scary to think that some of these developers are older than me yet they show such immaturity. That is one of the basses on which my decision is set, and I do not think I will change my mind. I'm also quite tired of being ridiculed, or feeling that way, when I don't know
something about technology. I know how petty I may sound but it has gone on for so long I've grown tired of it.

Re: Audio Interfaces and Systems

Bokurano Daibouken 3 seems kinda relevant here: static things, like platforms and walls, can make sound, but only in the direction that you're facing. Meanwhile, things that move, like enemies and projectiles, make sound regardless of whether or not you're facing them. Some static objects make sound regardless--ladders, certain items and switches--but it more or less uses both approaches fairly seamlessly. It doesn't use a full on vOICe-like sonification', but maybe that'd be helpful to think about anyway?

Re: Audio Interfaces and Systems

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest you should use different tones, i'm just looking at different approaches on my end.I realize that rendering only half the screen could potentially be problematic (though I did say you could still play enemy sounds regardless in either direction), you have to keep in mind that it would likely take a fraction of a second for the player to turn around and view the other side of the screen, if it helps cut down on interference and makes the scene more readable it may be worth considering, but thats up to you.Hmm, so a Gap is a constant fast blink, a Slope is a constant slow blink. What about a blink that slowly shifts from fast to slow? Or a different pattern like morse code? Well, morse code may be going abit far.

Re: aikido!

I would suggest going with one of the two, or both if you can afford it as I am right now. If you're new to martial arts, I would say start with Aikido as it gets you used to the concepts of spacing, footwork, and typical body movements when fighting... Krav is also good, and I'm enjoying it, but the conditioning is intense... and there is absolutely no sense of rules or fair play. Whatever you have to do to keep yourself alive works. So I would say start with the gentler of the two martial arts if you are interested. Aikido, at least speaking for myself, is highly recommended. It's fun, is perfect for visually impaired people because of its reactive response and emphasis on touching your opponent and feeling their movements, and is easy to start out in, but takes years to truly master like any art.

the star charting guide for dmnb

2015-07-05 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Articles Room : danny via Audiogames-reflector

the star charting guide for dmnb

Star charting on dmnb is the process of probing for previously unexplored and undiscovered planets in space. Why would I want to star chart? For one, if you've always wanted your own colony, or wanted to run your own inter steller empire, this is one of the few  ways you can do it.For 2, the deep space planets discovered offen have extremely high mineral counts, allowing for massive planet cracking operations and an easy way to make mega millions.Lastly, these planets are quite useful if you want to do some building, as menny of them contain an extremely high amount of resources. To start, i'd suggest a lightspeed capable ship. After all, who wants to explore in a light freighter? If you can aford it, i'd suggest the lockheed cruiser. It has grate speed, acceleration, and awsome sensor range. You need a ship with at least 2 or more sensor range in order to look for your own discoverys. So assuming you have got your ship, and
your on the bridge. We'll start by heading to a console that accepts navigational maneuvers. Using the navigation function, undock your vessel and prepare to head out into deep space.I offen like to star chart in empty space, so that other peoples planets don't get in the way, this also reduces the risk of your planet being shot at and blown up by automated space pirates and evil players who like spending time in deep space being pirates. For this exampple, we'll head to 4100 4100 4100. I know that seems far, just wait until you get a hold of a transwarp capable ship and you'll be saying that's just a ride across the street!Assuming you've arrived, use the sensors function if your console has one. Select probe for planets. Now sit back, and let the magic machine do its automated work as it trys to seek out planets. When its done, you'll be given the results of your find.OK, so I got a planet. What do I d
o with it.First off, you'll want to see if its a landable planet. You can do this in 2 ways.1, use your sensors and scan the planet, and look at the number of docks it has. If it is 0, its a non livible planet and you'll need to keep trying. If it is 1, set a course and prepare to beam to the surface!2, the more easy way to do it, take a look at the result you got at the end of your probe scan. If it just says, their is a new planet located near our position or some such thing like that, then it means that this planet isn't livible. However, if you got something like a number, for exampple 10, then possible landing site identified, it means its landable. If you got their are no planets in this sector, keep probing again, you'll eventually pick up some. The number before possible landing site identified refers to the number of mineral pockets on the surface of the planet that planet crackers have access too. If you want to see just how much,
and just how ritch it will make a planet cracker, move towards the planet and survey it from orbit.I'm not at all happy with this world. Its covered in water or their arn't enough resources.Offen times, I come across worlds I don't like, purely for lack of resources or just don't like in general, if this is the case, its time to try probing again.OK, i've found a world I like, and i'm going to liv on it or at least name it.Good, to go about doing this, head to the planet in your ship and select chart and name current object on sensors. Enter a name with out spaces, and you'll be right as new to continue on your way.Can I make a starsystem out of these planets that i'm charting?Good question. And yes, you can. Forming a starsystem is quite easy, simpply choose a spot, probe until you find the suitable number of planets you like in this system, and then select set current area as starsystem on sensors. Enter
a system name, and now your system will be viewable to all on the long range star charts.

Re: Distancing myself from the blind community

It depends upon the online game, it's security and how it's run. There are many extremely good browser games and muds that entirely missout on the hacking and associated drama. Likewise, while there were trouble makers on Swamp  through a lot of work on Aprone's part I believe that situation has become managable, and really the world's first audio multiplayer fps is definitely something. The issue with online games seems to be entirely that of younger, newer developers who begin a project without certain levels of experience or stability. IN some cases this leads to games that by rights should have been practice example games or should have considderably more work and thought put into them going live and all the accompanying drama. In other cases it leads to games being launched without adequate security or experienced moderation, or still worse, newer developers getting into arguements with their own friends or colleagues, arguements that of
ten result in a lot of petty and malicious behaviour, often doubly worse because such people have privilidged access to the code.Unfortunately it is a trend, that everyone suddenly wants to create an online game, but perhaps should think more carefully before doing so, and yes, it's resulted in a lot of agro although the agro is more based on that situation and it's not too different to other major arguements that have arisen in the past resulting from a certain trend in thinking which perhaps isn't thought through sufficiently. It'll die out in the end though, these things always do,   anyone who was here a few  years ago remember the row over accents? or the "everyone complain about the database" episode? as with most things, this too shal pass, however if everyone jumps ship at the first sign of bad weather, well it'll be a pretty empty ship, and bad weather does tend to be fairly universal in any communit
y, at some point in time.

Re: a few complaints about the blind comunity

@Gene, I think theoretically the pen friend has a label limit, but it is somewhere in the thousands. I'm not too good at guestimating size in inches so I might have got the size of the pen friend's smaller lables wrong, they're probably only slightly larger in circumference than an average keyboard key if that helps, I know that they're small enough to stick in very inaccessible places such as the corners of the inserts of dvd boxes so that I can label which disk goes where, not to mention the back of Snes cartridges, (yes, I still own a sness, and a mega drive both in full working order). The Penfriend is more sort of the size of a fat pen, though it's rather longer, still the size doesn't matter as much to me sinse it just lies in it's box in the draw in my ddesk most of the time.I actually didn't buy the Iphone as a phone. I was using a none speaking nockeea which worked fine for, well just phoning people and I had one of tho
se old parrot voicemate diaries that I used for contacts and phone numbers and such. With all the really awesome things going on on Ios though, in 2012I decided I wanted a tablet, and if I was going to get an Ios device I might as well have the speaking phone functions too. There are some great games for Pc, but equally I'd recommend looking into Ios sinse there are some very unique things for the platform that probably couldn't be done the same way on a pc, particularly things like audiogames that use 360 directional view and the gyro control so you actually have to turn yourself in the direction you want your character to face, not to mention some extremely cool games that are just fun to play such as the mythical rpg and strategic King of Dragon pass or the very dark and highly tough retro style rpg A dark room, heck now we have adventure to fate as well, not to mention lots of other good stuff from basic card games, competitive trivia games  to gameboo
ks, indeed I personally like having the Choiceofgames titles available for long train journies. The only thing that irritates me with the Iphone is how badly it interacts with my pc when I want to play audiobooks or music on it from my collection, (and no sorry Apple I'm not going to buy any of your proprietory rubbish that is stuck on one device), though in fairness I was fully aware of this when I bought the thing and quite prepared to spend on an mp3 player, it's just odd that it took me two years and lots of hitting Itunes with a crowbar before I did realize .

I'm beginning to believe the culprit is Windows itself, I've noticed some things that make me believe that Windows has crapped on itself. You'd think that after 30 years, Microsoft would have figured out how to write a stable and reliable operating system. Although they don't crash as much as Windows 95 did, they still collect garbagge like pack rats until the over load corrupts it.

Re: iOS game discovered: "Adventure to fate", a turn based jrpg

@Bryan, the layout is quite simple once you get the idea, I'd strongly recommend having vertical navigation on your rotor however sinse if you just try flicks it won't work well, and though theoretically you could just try finding the layout with your finger on my Iphone the items are a wee bit close together for that to  work. You need to tap on one square at a time and move your character around the dungeon, you can't just tap on battle arena and go instantly. This is why I suggest having vertical navigation on so you can flick up, down, left or right a square to more easily know where you are and where there is to go, otherwise you'll find yourself getting rather lost if you just rely upon flicks, particularly sinse there isn't a way to know what dungeon square your character is on, (this is okay for now, though if Touchmint develops something with more dungeon exploration and complex layouts some sort of notification of your character&
#039;s position will probably be needed ).The dungeon is layed out with the battle arena in the very center with all of the four other places you can go two square's distance around it like a cross , so from the battle arena one to the right there is path, two to the right is the shop. One down there is path, two down there is the exit portal (or portal to the previous dungeon. One left there is path, two left there is the vault, and finally one up there is path, two up there is the portal to move on to the next dungeon. If I remember rightly, when you begin you start at the exit portal, so need to flick up once from the exit portal and then double tap to move to the path (there is a stepping sound), then flick up once again and double tap to move to the battle arena, you can then double tap on the arena to activate it. Once your in the arena, you can flick right once and tap to walk the path, then flick right once again and tap to move to the shop to buy ite
ms. Hth.I'm going to try tackling Dwaalia again. I was level 15 previously and used the crush attack, but with her two cursed mummies all of them using two lots of flare  at 30 odd damage each it was too much damage, even if I could kill dwaalia her mummies got me, and killing a mummy just had her summon another. I did try not using the rage buff because that reduces your  intelligence and wisdom but that didn't seem to work. I'll need to get some gold and try with a vial of wisdom and three coriander potions, although I'll need to grind some past battles to get those because I don't have the cash, however if that doesn't work god knows.I believe I already have all the best armour and the charmer's blade, but I could try switching to the armour that gives more strength bonuses than armour rating, sinse I do know all the knight's skills are strength based so that might help increase damage. I've b
een going armour rating over strength but this might not be the best stratogy for knights.

Re: accessible games for older consoles

Depends: how willing are you to cheat? Prior to saving data becoming commonplace, a lot of games included a level select code. Some include other cheats like invincibility or moving the character so as to bypass inaccessible parts.I'll also assume you aren't looking for fighting games, since those are kinda obvious. The next most accessible genre would be side-scrolling 2.5D beatemup games, like Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Golden Axe, etc. Some of these are more easy to play blind than others. Streets of Rage 2, for example, doesn't include any pits or other silent traps, where Golden Axe and the other two SoR games do.(If you're feeling like putting in a lot of effort, the vOICe is slightly more useful with 2D games if you disable decorative background graphics, which some emulators can do. Good luck figuring out how, though; all I remember for sure is that Megasis can do this for genesis, and I think Zsnes can for SNES, but there are mult
iple graphics layers and you have to know which one you need and which you do not.)I've completed Sonic 3 and Knuckles (by cheating like there's no tomorrow, although the final battle might actually be playable without cheating if you're particularly coordinated), Streets of Rage 2, Mighty Morphing Power Rangers: the Movie, and nearly beat Golden Axe only to die in a pit in the final battle. I can imagine getting surprisingly far in Mario 3 just by a combination of Save States and knowing where the first two whistles are, but I've never beaten it (I only ever got a couple levels into the final map).(Some sort of tile-sized cursor for emulators, vaguely BK3-style, would be neat. Not as useful as screen tracking with audio labels, but it'd be easier to add, and someone might actually be able to use it. Ah! I have an idea! An NVDA Addon that detects when a screenshot is on the clipboard and lets you view it with, like, nvda+shift+arrows or somethi
ng. I'm going to go play with that idea, now.)

Re: Distancing myself from the blind community

Hi all,Well, I can see both sides of this. The thing is, Ghost Rider has a point. Not because blindness-specific forums have less drama, but because when drama happens here, it seems to pile on all at once. We're not talking about a Tumblr post where literally 20,000 people could comment. Here, the same people tend to get into the same old petty fights.Furthermore, I can think of a couple of newer audio games that are so poorly run that it makes me sick to think about. I'm not going to mention names, but, because I am closer to one of these situations than I would like to be, I hear about things all the time that truly make my blood boil. Security risks, hacking, general immaturity, and so forth, are things that I hear about on a daily basis, because I happen to be close to someone who plays a big part in running one of these games. And I find myself getting more and more frustrated, because everybody is just going on their merry way, not caring at all a
bout what's really going on, because these people are young and lack life experience. So to be honest, I can see why Ghost Rider is frustrated. But Dark is also correct that the internet is really a black hole of drama if that's what you seek.

Re: Sb-soft's second release. Masons death serie!

Unfortunately, I have to say that this is slightly immature. While it might be funny to some of you, it is certainly not. It's funny at first, but after a while, it gets boring; the same goes for anything else. Here's the question I want to ask all of you: would you be happy if someone made something like this about your death and how you would die? Because, in my opinion, it sounds liek that is what this is: Methods for mason to die. and while it isn't totally focused on it, and it does move to other topics like in part 3, it still sounds to me like what I jsut said it sounds like: Methods for masons death. I'm surprised Mason ahsn't gotten pissed at you guys for making this project and even encouraging it. Again, I ask you: How would you feel and what would you do if someone made a trilogy about your death and how your in danger?

Well, nowadays, you can get away with not using flash in Firefox, which is really a good thing.Interestingly enough, I can't reproduce this problem in IE on my end. I'm using Jaws 16, the latest version of IE, Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit, and everything is running smoothly. I'm writing this post using IE. But who knows?

aikido!

For all who don't know, Aikido is a traditional martial art that is similar in some respects to judo, but probably about 10 times more complicated and broader in scope as Judo mostly deals with grappling, where aikido deals with both. The unique feature about Aikido in comparison to most martial arts is its emphasis on blending your movements with those of your opponent and using energy redirection, balance and footwork to displace an opponent rather than strictly using power to meet force with force. Of course, that's the very basics of it.. and it's much more complicated than that, but that's all I'm able to explain in verble words without going on a super long rant. I just started training in this style again after a 3 year break, and am loving it immensely. I think that for anyone who is visually impaired or totally blind, this martial art is one that everyone should try... because not only will it do the usual of building your confidence and growing y
our mental discipline... but its emphasis on circles and footwork as well as spacing and awareness will do wonders for any person's orientation and mobility skills, especially those who have no vision. I figured since there were some people who had interested in martial arts on this forum, I would bring it up again for discussion... and I'm also curious. for any of the few of you that have trained in Aikido, are there any electronic resources you would recommend for study as someone with no vision, ebooks etc?

Re: sapi5 eloquence

2015-07-05 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : jack via Audiogames-reflector

Re: sapi5 eloquence

Eloquence and espeak are the leaders of responsiveness on windows. To everyone using a virtual machine, either on windows or mac, or maybe even bootcamp, you will need to do some stuff before installing eloquence. As an antipiracy measure, they are using a commercial drm solution called Themita. This controls stuff like number of computers your license is installed on, etc. Disadvantage is that themita restricts the software from being installed on virtual machines. This is obviously an annoying hurdle to jump. Fortunately, there is a way around it. Ok so you gotta now open the .vmx file of your virtual machine. If it's a newly formatted mac vm that's packaged in a single file, v-o+shift+m on the vm, show package contents, the nfind the .vmx file. Now go to the end of the file and add the following line.monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "TRUE"Backdoor is the system that contains information about the computer and notes that it is in deed a virtual
machine, and installers like this one that have drm coded in them will look for this information. As you will know if you have tried installing eloquence in a vm, they got an error saying, "Sorry, this software can't be installed in a vm," it's that information that the installer is getting. Restricting backdoor will make sure the virtual machine's badge of nonhonor is not exposed and is not being worn. But it makes the virtual machine look like a real computer rather than a vm. Now save the vmx. You're still not done, cause now you gotta change the display. The Themita drm will go crazy and check your display! as part of the computer info check. It is smart and knows the vmware display driver when it sees it. You gotta get rid of the evidence that it's using vmware display driver. Here's what ya gotta do. Open registry editer. Go to the f
ollowing path. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\ now go to the driver desk key and shift+f10 on that, go to modify. Now delete what's in that name field you land on. Hit ok. Restart windows. Install eloquence. You're good to go! You shouldn't get any errors from beyond here. Vocalizer for some reason gives an error saying "Ve.dll is missing" just ignore it, it will finish the install properly anyway. This is near completely legal as all you are doing is making yourself able to install the software, nothing more. As you can see this method does not in anyway involve stripping the drm from the software, just working around it.

2015-07-05 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : tward via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Monthly chat July 2015

Well, as for me I have a pretty full schedule ahead. July is of course right smack in the middle of summer vacation here in the States, and that is also when there is a lot of things to do.For example, last Saturday was our 4th of July holiday. I basically spent the morning playing games with my son on his Playstation. Then, we picked up a fried chicken dinner at the local IGA. We got fried chicken, baked beans, jo-joes, a chocolate cake, and a bottle of root beer. It was a decent meal all things considered. After that we went downtown to the 4th of July celebration at the town square where my son got to play in the bouncy houses, join in some other games, and ride a mechanical bull. We ended up getting some cups of fresh squeezed lemonade on our way home.As it so happens my son's birthday is also coming up this month, and I have not decided what I'll be doing for my son's birthday but I'm sure my family and I will throw together some sort of cele
bration for him. So that too is something to look forward to this month. That said, I have a doctor's appointment this month I have mixed feelings about. For the last two three years I have been having some serious problems with my face and mouth making it difficult for me to open my mouth to talk or eat. I will be seeing a specialist this month to have it looked at. The problem is this doctor does not accept any kind of government insurance. He does not take Medicare, Medicaid, or that worthless pile of crap Obamacare so that means I'll be paying out of pocket to see him. If he can do something about the problem that will be worth it, but I don't really have the money to spend. If he can't do anything I might as well flush the money down the toilet. So saying that  my financial situation is just now recovering from my divorce I have more than my share of anxt over racking up more debt I really can't afford. On the bright side things are goi
ng better than they have been. I've got ongoing medical situations, but that aside I'm looking forward to this month and getting out and doing stuff. The weather here is unusually rainy, which is certainly something of a bummer, but when I can get out and do things the weather is relatively nice all things considered. So here is hoping for a decent month.

2015-07-05 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : tward via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Owning a dog - Is it a good idea?

Hadi, I'll try and answer your questions as best as I can. To be honest some of those are tough to answer given that dogs aren't well liked in your country, and you don't have the same services and resources there as I would here.As for training I'm not really sure what to suggest since it does not sound like you have training services there like we do here. In the USA a lot of people have dogs and finding an obedience training course for dogs is pretty easy to come buy. However, difficult it may be to find one I do think it is a necessary step in owning a dog because you will want the dog to learn to sit, stay, heel, etc upon command.Teaching your dog basic obedience training is possible, but you lack the experience and skills to do it. You admit to being a new dog owner, having no previous experience, so training the dog yourself will be pretty darn difficult. It would be one thing if you had owned other dogs, had been through obedience training
before, and had picked up the skills how to train your dog from prior experience. So I'm not sure it will be possible to do it yourself under the circumstances. As for the dog going to the toilet you should get use to cleaning up the dog's business as it will keep your yard clean and yes it will make the neighbors happy. Nobody wants to go outside and step in a pile of dog pooh. In fact, since you are blind it is more likely you'll be the one to accidentally step in it and track it in your apartment so it is better for everyone if you get in a habit of cleaning up after your dog.As for maintenance shedding can be a big issue. there are ways to deal with it. Frequently vacuuming your home will get rid of most of the shed fur, and there are even pet vacuums available which allows you to vacuum the loose fur directly off your cat or dog.For example, a few years ago I got something called a Cat Vac from a local vacuum and sweeper store. I have no idea
if anything like it is available in your country, but they do exist. It is basically a small vacuum cleaner with some special attachments which allows you to comb the fur off your dog or cat and have it vacuum up the loose fur while it does it. It is a pretty cool device and makes cleaning up pet fur rather nice. Especially, when you are blind and don't know where all the loose fur is going to end up on your floor while grooming your pet.As for the dog being noisy that can be a problem, but there are certainly ways to deal with it. One way is by obtaining a bark collar. These are little dog collars with a little box with metal prongs sticking out of it that lays against the dogs neck. Whenever the dog barks it will shock him or her, and after a while the dog will learn not to bark. It sounds cruel but it is effective in keeping the noise down to a minimum. Plus the shock isn't really that serious. I have even gotten shocked a couple of times myself by accident and w
hile painful it isn't that bad. Just enough to let the dog know the behavior isn't acceptable and he or she will get the message real quick.

You will have to verify how many times you need to press "down arrow" to reach the item "run as system". If you figured that out, quit nvda and try again.I'm very sure it works, sin

Don't jump the gap. Fall until your at height 30 or something low, them use the hook. After this, you can fall the rest of the way. Now, you will find spark boxes. After destroying a spark box, you will find a dial. The number that you have to set the dial to is on the piece of paper the mud killer dropped. A good way to do this is to paste the numbers in to notepad, then find the number for one of the dials. This is because the dial at 0 has to be set to the last number, and the final dial has to be set to the first number. Note that once you've set a dial, you can't change the number after setting it. After destroying all spark boxes and setting all dials, you will be able to open the door at the end.

Getting to the story mode in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Hi everyone,This is the version of DOA that came out for the PS4. When starting it for the first time, a bunch of items are locked, as I get what sounds like an error sound. Do I have to download a stupid costume on PS4 to make the game fully playable like I had to do on the Xbox? No matter what I try, I always seem to wind up at the solo versus screen. I played a few fights which is nice but I want the story first. Then i'll look at other stuff. Yes, I've played the story on my Xbox but there were certain trophies I didn't get and I'm not sure how I missed them. There was one where I had to unlock a character in chapter 13 and another one. Whenever a menu comes up in that story, Ex seems to advance the plot after winning a match, so not sure if I'm supposed to choose something at certain points? Thanks all.

Re: a few complaints about the blind comunity

Moderation! When a topic is closed that means end of discussion! it does not mean simply up  stakes and move the arguement elsewhere. That means the subject of jaws licensing, freedom scientific, name calling and any matters hitherto pertaining to that discussion stop! (at least until everyone has cooled down and can behave rationally). Lets have an end to it, one person has already been banned over this debarcle.Okay, moderation hat off.@Gene, surgery and my family is a bad! combination indeed, so I actually don't mind the medication for all taking dimox each day means lots of visits to the ammonia processing plant :d. If it's  just a basic pare of hands you could direct in computer repares, perhaps an add in a local paper or at somewhere related to computers might work? it's not something that's ever turned up for me personally sinse as I said my interest in technology is purely based on "if it works and
does what I want" The penfriend is rather nice because it handles literally hundreds of labels. I'm not actually sure on how the machine scans each lable, however the lables basically just play mp3 files you reccord, so there is a potentially unlimited amount of them, (well limited to the penfriend's storage capacity which is about 1.2 gb , but that's a lot of mp3 when your just recording labels). The only thing I don't like about the penfriend is the fact that the labels need to be bought in sequenced packs to match up with the file identifyers it uses, and you don't have any choice at all about what size labels come in each pack. For example the small labels about an inch circula I find hugely useful, but the large ones which are about two inches square I have no use for at all, but still have to buy them, still sinse you get 100 of the small ones in each pack it's not an issue, and when I get to labelling multiple disks or long running dv
d series (or at least labelling the boxes under each disk), I can go through a surprising amount.I didn't realize you had an Iphone with your tablet comment, though I have to agree. I battled Itunes for two years to try and get the damnable thing to not only work, but also play what I wanted as I wanted according to my own file and folder structure, then when apple ballsed up the labelling in Itunes twelve that was the last straw. while the Victor stream mp3 player I got was an expensive alternative, just having access to a propper usb for transfers is great, plus I am generally quite happy with the victor despite the hefty price tag. I will say though whatever Apples other faults there are some astonishing Iphone aps, especially games, indeed I'd highly recommend you try out several, the somethinelse titles such as audio defense and pappasangre, and in particular king of dragon pass if you like the idea of a complex and detailed game set in a fantasy kingdom
that combines stratogy and story. Either way sinse there is already lots of stuff about recommended Ios games on the forum i'll stop with that one.

2015-07-05 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Orin via Audiogames-reflector

Re: blaze blue: new fighter for ps4 and xbox1

So after doing a bit of the tutorial, which is quite awesome in Chronp Phantasma, I was disappointed to find out that in the story menu options, you have the Chromo Phantasma story, the Teach me! Ms. Lichi option, and then another option that brings up stuff to read. I'm guessing these are story recaps for the previous games. I have a friend who hasn't played Blazblue since Calamity Trigger, and hasn't beaten CT on his older PS3. In CS Extend, they actually had an abridged hour long story segment that featured the major events of CT so you had an idea of what is going on. I believe that the "Teach Me" content was designed if you've played the previous games before and need a refresher, are interested in learning about the background information on the universe, or you like the humor that it provides, particularly in this version since it's not just Tau and Lichi anymore. If you view the CT one, for instance, which is the first in the submenu, the
segment features every character in that game. Announced for this version is eight new gag reels, humorous segments that branch away from the main story. They take jabs at everything from the relationships between BB characters, Anime tropes, and even the game itself at some points lol. Not to mention two new story scenarios altogether adds a bunch of new story stuff. I wonder if there is a Teach Me segment on the events of ChronoPhantasma itself. I think there are only segments for Bullet and Asrial.I suppose I'll have to tell my friend to play through the "Teach Me" content if that's the only way to learn about he previous games without reading the recaps. I'm still not 100 percent sure if that third menu option is the recaps though. For those who are unaware, Blazblue CP, and now Extend's menus are organized in columns. In the first column is training, which has Tutorial, training and I believe the third option is combo trials. The second colu
mn, is story which contains everything related to story content. Navigate to each column with left and right on your dPad, and of course navigating virticle gives you just that column only.Hope this helps. I just wish we could play through the abridged CT and CS, because the Anime abridges it way too much so that you'd play the game.

For me, that long delay brings into question the real motivations of those whoare making a loud noise over the flaws in this licenseSO in that above statement you question the motivation of those who make  noise about the license, and you imply that their motivation is suspect becausethey neglected to take up the matter six months ago.I frankly don't understand why you consider this putting words in your mouth. And in #20 of the related thread you write:So, other than to malignand wish for misfortune to befall all the people working at Freedom Scientific for the actions of a few,and of course to attract more readers to view theads on his page and thus earn him a few more pennies, what other motivation could this blogger have to actually read one? Here you are actually going further by implying that the blogger's motivation is not raising the issue but is earning extra ad views on his webpage. It'sclassy, and I have no qualm sourcing these statements.People must judge themselves if they consider my summary of what you have written putting words in your mouth. Now I have provided the proper citations, and people are hence free to judge if my restatement of your views is unfair.this is the last dialogue I have with your Mr. Warner.Thanks.@DarkI have sent you a PM.Regards

Re: Owning a dog - Is it a good idea?

Hello,For toalet, some (but really, not a lot) people train their dogs to wc in the house (like they usually do with cats). I'm not sure how much efert would you have to put into this to work (and it depends on the breed), but just trying to help.Barking also depends on the breed. There are breeds that bark a lot, just because they can or because they want to protect their owners. There are also dogs that usually don't bark and it also depends on the individual dog.The same goes with walks. Some breeds need lots of running, mabye even some hall-day walks into mountins or stuff like that fiew times. And of corse, there are breeds that don't like to walk that much. I would just like to tell you that even if people usually think they aren't, small dogs can be pritty energetic, some even more than some big dogs.Sheding: yes, there aren't dogs without fur ... (there are, but those need speciall care and even those have some). Cleaning ag
ain depends on breed, time of year (unles you chuse a dog that sheds the same amount all year) and lengh of fur. Some are short (usually les of it, but harder to clean, because it can stick into furniture or clothes) and some dogs have long (usually more, but easier to clean, especially with some specialised brushes for picking up fur).Well, I tried to help, but that Will probably not help much. The best help is a lot of reasearch. Everything is easier with right websites, heh.Have a nice day and sorry for my English, Mayana.

About your problem: so, Ccleaner automaticly cleans cookies every day or it cleans them when you start it? if problem is #1 you can just uncheck cookies (check boxes aren't there at first, but they are there when you press space. if something is unchecked when you press space, that means it was priviusly checked) or, if you don't like it to do this thing automaticly, go to tools, start up, and on first tab (automaticly selected) stop Ccleaner monitoring.I hope that helped, Mayana

I didn't want things to go this far and was hoping the situation could be resolved peacefully but that obviously will not happen. In general I can say I am very disappointed that people cannot have a disagreement without getting into mud slinging arguements. Let us have no more of it!

Moderation! @Coltonhill01, the position of this forum on personal attacks is absolutely clear, whatever someone else says, you don't have the right to insult them on your own behalf. Re: Distancing myself from the blind community

The h key is a wonderful thing. With Jaws and NVDA, it lets you skip to the next heading without reading any of the intervening text. And it just so happens that, on the Audiogames.net forums, headings are used for the names of posters and topics. And, since drama tends to cluster among specific posters and topics, all it takes is pressing h until you find something less stressful to read.

Re: Final fantasy record keeper for IOS

okay so how do you swipe the screen so that voice over can recognize the selections in the bottom of the screen?I keep trying to do what you said --swiping an ich or so above the home button to the top of the screen- but still upon switching voice over the game does not select the actions.

You can shut up about the timing, Gene, I was in a skype group and somebody was like hey, check this! That's how i found out about it. Now would you shut it, if you're going to keep dissing us, putting us down I'm just out of this topic, and you should leave too. @FUTURE_DARK, I do not wish for a ban, I wish to be respected more than a rotten egg, thank you.

Re: Classic 6 Dragons game!

I have been going through some muds that needed db pages on account of their great access fixes, and classic six dragons is definitely one. However, I can't get any of the homepage links to work, including those to download the  soundpacks. has the website moved locations?Does anyone know where I can find it?edit: Okay, a quick googlement revealed what I believe is the Classic six dragons page Here though I'm a trifle disappointed the thing doesn't seem to have been updated for a year, though of course it is possible the mud got updated and the site hasn't. still I'll try logging in and see how it works, sinse I do remember liking the look of the game I was just a trifle unwell originally when I tried it so never took full advantage.Edit the second: okay, i have logged in, created a new char, a shadow knight shade who is called dark (spot my oh so subtle theme here). I am likin
g the adaptations very much, however the tutorial has got stuck on the fifth quest to find dralak the mystical shop owner.I find him, and he gives me some mana potion and some roots and tells me to go, however then the journal doesn't update. the notes say the next person I should see is the bar tender, but when I went to find him, he wouldn't talk to me, presumably because my journal hasn't updated, thus I appear to be stuck, and annoyingly nobody else was online to ask. any suggestions much appreciated.
