Hi all,i read about a few useable android options on windows, but is there a solution with wich it is even possible for us to play android games on windows? I heared that bluestacks is not recommended these days and that playing games wouldn't be possible on a android VM, so I wanted to ask if there is a solution wich we can use even for games.Thank youBest regardsNiklas

Hi everyone,Does anyone here know an accessible sample Player Software for Windows? I am not Talking About a full DAW, just a sample Player program. And Maybe someone knows launchpad on the IPhone, where you can even work with samples and loops and build them together and mix them to make a song out of them, a bit like a construction kit. Again no DAW, just for mixing loops and such to construct Songs with it.Is there something under Windows like this as well wich is accessible for us?I know the DAWs under Windows, but I am searching just for such specific Software.Thank you in Advance.Best regardsNiklas

My mistake, I forgot that the keystep pro isn't in the shops yet. Yeah, the software route isn't cool, but on the other hand, there is the advantage of having seperate devices and probably more than one, so they can accompany each other and you can use functions if you take them from another device. But still, it is not nice with this inaccessible software. Haha, at the moment I am looking to find someone who can modifi the monotrons and teenage enginiring PO's, since they have modding options wich expands the possibilities. But for now, I think the beatstep pro or keystep are still no bad options, even without the software. I am also excited about what we can find out about the keystep pro soon.

Hmm, that sounds good, so if I knew ones menus, i can probably use them all? Hmm, looks like i have more synths on my wishlist, aarr. Oh yeah, the prologue is there as well. I love this little things. So I am more interested in the minilogue, monologue and minilogue XD probably. I like little synths because they are often more flexible in regards to build and change setups and if not alone, than in combination with others, they offer everything a big one can do as well. In regards to big synths, I looked on the matrixbrute or the Moog matriarch. On the other hand, i have the mini brutes and the microbrute looks promising as well as drumbrute and drumbrute impact, so it may be questionable if the matrix brute is neccessary then. Regarding the drum brutes, does anyone know if they are big in regards to a 61 full size synth for example? Or in wich category i can put them in regards to size? The thing is, most instruments should stay in a file cabinet if they are not needed and so, the space for full sized things is limited. BTW: Merry Christmas to you all and I haven't forgotten on skype, I will have time for this in the holydays, so hopefully we can talk personaly.

Hi all,has anyone experienced the korg monologue and minilogue as well as minilogue XD? Are they useable for blind people? For the XD, i found a video on YouTube wich explains the menus in detail, so with this the accessibility could be increased, but haven't found something regarding the other ones. This came to my mind because the monologue and minilogue were created by the same developer who created the volcas and monotrons as well. So I thought they could be a cool addition in combination with the volcas for example. And I found out that the handling of the teenage enginiring OP-1 should be similar to the handling of the PO-series it is just more complex, so it could be useable as well. Might be interesting for some people on here, so I thought I post this here as well.

Hmm, a seperate drum machine would be easier then I think. I started to read in the Manuals for the Alesis drum Computers. Wich is great is that they seem to have lots of direct Buttons and where menus are, you can Access them via a button directly. The Buttons are textualy labeled in the Manual and it is possible to work with numbers, wich means you can type in numbers for values and such direkctly via number keys. That Looks good so far.

But in the manual, the buttons are not named, wich means that the screen reader says to do this, press the button and the button. After that press the button. You get what I mean? But thanks for the warning on the Korg XL and XL+, cause I am looking for Hardware wich we have a Chance to use and with it's controls with no haptic Feedback, I can imagine that it is realy difficult, especially if the changes can't be heared in any situations. So if there are no other experiences or help with that, I'll leave that out i think. Ah okay, thank you. I imagine the micrro piano isn't a problem for us, but what about the micro arranger, micro X and micro station? Can you say something about those? I could imagine that the micro arrangers do even work for us but am not sure on micro station and micro x.

Yet another question regarding instruments

Yet another question regarding instruments

Hi,first @manfromthedark: I haven't forgotten about Skype, tryed to install it on my Laptop, but have a few microfon issues there where I don't know what the Problems are. Hmm, maybe I'll try to put Skype onto my Smartphone.I stumbled across the Korg microkorg XL and XL+, as well as the drum Computers Alesis S16 and S18. Are those instruments even useable to us? I mean to remember someone said the microkorg XL and XL+ wouldn't work for us, on the other Hand, they should have a fantastic midi implementation, so that should be possible again. Has anyone experienced those. And what to say about the drum Computers? From what I read, they should be midi controlable as well, and they seem to have a lot of Buttons on it for direct control. Maybe someone has tryed those. Thanks in advance.

Re: another musical question regarding effect devices for the voice

Cool, than I'll find you for sure. But another Little question I have before wich came to mind: Lots of Hardware synths have own effects and such for the synth directly. So if the synth has Audio Inputs, is it possible to use even internal effects with the own voice and a microfone, even if the synth has no Vocoder especially for voice? Or does it depend on the Instrument?

Re: usable hardware recorders for music

Thank you first for the detailed reply. That gives me orientation on wich is usable for good Music recording, I wasn't sure if the Olympus Recorders for example are good enough for that. I have Mixers here and surely, I could use an Computer as well but to be honest, I want the possibility of a seperate Hardware Recorder because if I make Music, i simply like to have no Computer in front of me all the time. I use it all day, so I realy like the Feeling of having other devices to make and record Music. Oh, cassettes I could use maybe, but no, i Thing sticks and SD-Cards do fit better in my workflow. As I am a Hobbyist, I'd like to record for myself at first, but with a good Quality so it can be shown if needed. But I think the Recorders you menssion should be able to record in a professional Quality as well.

Hi @manfromthedark, I haven't skype installed at the moment, but I will and if I have it, we can surely talk on skype, thank you for this offer, I'll let you know. Maybe you can send me the documentation material you made for the instruments we both have. BTW: for wich instruments you made own documentation or notes about menus and such? Maybe that could help me as well and if you would be so kind to send them to me via Mail or as download link, the work hasn't to be done twice. It could be the case that I have lots of questions in our skype talks, so don't be disappointed I fear that I am far away from your level at the moment. But I am incredibly interested in the possibilities of midi and CV/gate to control synths remotely this way for example but where I am at the moment, I never chained instruments together, I simply have the imagination that it could be cool if they synchronize, have theier own part and some do it automatically, while I have to play one myself for example, like a band of electronic instruments and such. I am experimenting at the moment and new to synths and the like, but because of that it is so important to me to have one who can help with his knowledge. So, be pacient with me, i feel that there's so much I don't know at the moment.

From what I know, Arturia uses the one knob per function principe where it is possible and from what I read, the micro freak seems to be relatively easy to handle. The only thing I am unsure about at the moment are the sensoric buttons. Can we feel where each sensor is? Maybe someone can report about it. You know what? There are even some Sound Expanders without Display I have on my list, and two other Keyboards wich seem interesting. Allthough they are in the entry clas, they are extremely good for theier Price, namely the Korg IK-50 and the Casio CTX-5000. Great is, they have a data wheel and also numeric keys and lots of Buttons for one or two functions/sections. Haha, to much things wich are interesting and not enough Money, haha. Luckely, I haven't to buy everything at the same time. BTW: Are there some Sound machines or samplers or the like you can recommend for SFX? Thing is, I am sometimes in search of good thunder sounds or else Sound effects, for example. Or do you use the PC for that? I ask if there are good things with already build-in sounds because in the SFX part of Keyboards, there are very cheap sounding ones sometimes. Maybe there is gear around for that as well.

Hi Manfromthedark,Thank you again for the detailed answer. Regarding teenage enginiring, I am even not sure, but I am going the route of having multiple devices to accompany each other, for different sounds and styles of Music and such, so probably the PO's will fill the gab and I might not Need the others. BTW: What makes me happy is that I found and got the classic monotron on ebay. A Person had said that he wouldn't recommend it but for sitting on the Couch and jamming and in cobination with other synths, I have a Feeling that even this Little Thing can be good and fun. And the volcas are cool, got the OK. go sampler as well and will buy the rest from time to time maybe. What I like on Hardware is that you haven't to think at first, turn it on and Play. That won't happen on a PC. Do you know anything regarding the Bassstation, monostation and circuit by Novation?

Question regarding usability of diverse electronic instruments, or you

Hi all, this could be a good question for @the man from the dark as well, but all other answers are welcome:I am interested in some electronic instruments and would like to know how your experiences are:teenage enginiring OP-1: Would be great if someone gets it or get the possibility to try it if you could tell about if it is usable as blind person.  I already know the PO's of the same manufacturer are but am also interested in the OP-1. The same goes for the OP-Z, i imagine it could be doable with that as well because it has no display. Are there experiences with the Roland aerophone AE10? The sounds are pretty cool. The Roland boutiques series interests me too. From what I read the novation Bass station II, monostation and the circuit could be manageable as well, because they use no display and no real menus.@Man from the dark: You said you use the arturia keystep. Is even the software that comes with it useable or do you use it without the software? The behringer crave and neutron shouldn't be a problem from what I hear, since they even have no display, same seems to go for the Roland Gaia SH-01, Korg arp odyssey and MS-20 mini.So if anyone can tell his experiences, I'd be happy to know. I know each blind is different, but I plan to record sessions with sighted assistance in order to learn the instrument I choose, but if there are already tipps or Selfmade documentation or such for those, I'd love to hear from you, and ofcourse even if one device is completely unusable in your opinion. A big thanks to @man from the dark for all helpful tipps and devices wich are accessible before this topic. On the other Hand, that are all things and sounds the synth is capable to do and as Long as there's nothing bad Happening with it, such things can inspire or even be used in some Genres or production. There are Music Genres that use crazy sounds because it's the core of the Music, from what i remember. This way, i could see it as a way of exploring what is possible. Hmm, maybe that is a good way to get the most out of it. I'll try, thanks for the encouragement.

Have you tryed it as well and can you say something about this as well? Regarding touch Screens, normaly i let such devices go as well. The reface series could be interesting, mainly because I like Little synths, but I hadn't taken the genos into account if it hadn't gotten limited speech. Additionally, it has knobs and such as well, so there's more possible with it than with the other big touch devices without speech.

For Genos, I don't know if the sequencer is accessible, since the voice guide of genos is limited, but it would be worth a try. To be honest, I think lots of Keyboards have powerfull sequencers, i think the BK-5 has one as well but I thought that the sequencer could only control the internal Sound engines of the Keyboards, not external instruments. Hmmm, possibly I have already learned something new here. If those sequencers can control external Hardware as well, I realy should try that.

Re: Question regarding hardware sequencers

Ah okay. I hoped that anyone has experiences with such sequencers and can give a recommendation for what to use as a blind user. That is because even if I find a lot of devices on the web, I still don't know on wich ones we should pay Attention to. In Terms of Software, I think maybe QWS could do the Job if I don't want to use a complete DAW. But it would be nice to have something I can use while the Computer is off.

Re: Question regarding hardware sequencers

Wow, man, let me thank you first for the very detailed answer. I am mainly searching a solution for Controlling and synching multiple instruments, like synths and Keyboards for example. I imagine to build a song in real time, wich means that I don't have to Play and record each Instrument on ist own, but to make Arrangements with multiple instruments, so I have to Play simply one of those instruments for example. I thought a Hardware sequencer could help with such things or do i Need something else or maybe something different for this?

Maybe QWS can help with this, I just hoped I eventually could save a configuration onto the controller to not having to turn on the Computer every time I want to play. On the other hand, the product from midi solutions sounds interesting as well. Will have a closer look at that, too. Thanks for the tip. We dont need much more voices to be voted up in the priority list but the more we get, the better. So, if you are interested in this or you want to support this, you can click at the Link below, register and vote up.http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=3888I would be happy if you take a moment to vote for this.Best regards and merry christmas to you all.Niklas

I heard some Cards offer Sound profiles like virtual soround Sound for headphones and such. So my question is, is there a Card where the Software is usable with NVDA, for example. It should Sound good in games, even if the games have soround Sound and such things. Thank you very much. best regards Niklas

BTW: I heard something about the sonar Project. What do you think about this Distribution, especially in comparison to vinux or ubuntu Gnome?
