Hey.Well, nothing much happening on my end of the globe.I am still in my christmas hollydays and school starts torturing me back on thee 11.01.2016 I think.I am looking to go to the cinema when the new starwars movie lays in one of the cinemas we have in our arria, I am kinda interested what they did with the storie and how they want to continue it.I am planning to get a new laptop, but I am not sure which one.The thing is that I want one with an ssd and an hdd.As I found out, the problem is if you buy a hybrit setup, you get a larger harddrive, something about 1 tb of storage space, but maybe just 16 gb of ssd space, I am stil searching for a solution with which I can get the 1 tb harddrive and maybe 250 or 500 gig ssd into the computer

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

Hi,Well well well. I guess I've never posted on one of these before, so it might end up being a general overview of my life! What's been happening. Well, I've had great news earlier this month; My girlfriend is currently staying with me for christmas (and yes, I can't think of anything else to call her). I suppose fiance would be more appropriate, since we've all but tied the knot, I just need to buy the ring. In not so great stuff, I've had a llot of problems with vps hosting, which finally culminated in several companies giving me a refund after some very angry emails! although I'll admit, talking to someone over the phone and introducing yourself as Dr. Is a stroke of genius, even if it is just for the burocrats. As for coding, I've
been working on my long time project which is very exciting, I have to say. It is a game, and something that I've not seen done properly in audio. So, since I'm a fan of the genre, I decided to give it a go. So far, its been working really quite well. More information about that, as well as other projects, is coming in the new year. Oh, and, I released an update to invaded since I have the time to maintain it. Welp, that's about all from me...Oh, I would like to say its very early christmas morning here and I have no intention of going to sleep!

Still haven't seen Starwars (that's planned for this afternoon). Haven't encountered any spoilers, unless vague disappointed-sounding comments that we all saw coming count as spoilers.I finally managed to beat Mario, though (what no being the one to render it accessible does not mean I can beat it in under 5 years why would you think that?), which somewhy was exciting enough that even bad Star Wars hopefully can't ruin the day. Also, I could really use more insulation in this building. ... Ah, and I forgot that I microwaved some water before I started playing Mario to keep my fingers from freezing off. I suppose I'll have to warm it up again. ... Incidentally, does anyone know what happens if one microwaves a pair of socks?

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

I don't plan on watching Starwars, I'm personally not really a fan of that kind of thing. But it's the last day of school before holidays, it's just a half day, and as far as I know I'm exempt from my semester exams today, which probably means I'm going to continue my project of the month, (not officially but it's what I've been working on all month), the building system in my new side scrolling game engine I'm working on.  I don't actually think this building system has ever been tried before in audio games, so basically here's my process.1. Figure out how I want to code an aspect the system.2. Open Pure Basic, and throw down some code that I... assume might work?3. Laugh in surprise when I run it and find that it works, which is usually about 75% of the time, or shrug otherwise and try again.  I started a topic earlier this months about shift keys in the general games discussion room,
and the system I've been working on was why. This month I coded some (unrealistic but useful) arms, that can be used to both drop and throw items, as well as connecting building materials to structures in order to, well, build them, as well as a new experimental system of feeling. Basically, the way you "feel" objects in my game engine is that, say you're standing on a platform, you hold left shift, and while you're holding that you press down arrow, causing it to tap on the platform segment you are standing on. It will report "segment of platform name, with a length of segment length, and thickness of segment thickness", with platform name, segment length, and segment thickness being substituted for their respective values.  You can also feel things out to the left, right, or above you, as far as your arms can reach.  I'm sorry for boring you all with that rant about my new side scrolling game mechanics, I really am. I
just got overly excited when writing about it. Please forgive me.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

@NNial, my phd is another story, however one thing I will say about philosophy as a subject is that you can bring in all sorts. I've had to read sociology, anthropology, philosophy of biology, medical textbooks and even the disability discrimination act as well as of course a lot of articles on the ethics of disability as it's a very broad topic. I don't think I'll be sticking with philosophy full time though, though i always see myself writing something or other and learning, and indeed listening to various things, (including beethoven, I love some of his Piano variations, I'm very into the romantic period). Heinlein is pretty variable, as indeed I said in my review which is now posted over at fantasybookreview.co.uk. If you want to try some real classic sf, I'd recommend Frederik Pohl. While I've read several books which include alternative history, I've never read an entire plot set around it (other than a lot of
Doctor who, and mostly with those I stick to the big finish audiodramas). However, one author I've heard good reports of is Harry Turtledove, and certainly from his short stories he seems like a decent writer of that sort of fiction. In Dick, again I've  mostly read his collected short stories, though I have read the novel "do androids dream of electric sheep" which the film bladerunner was based on. Not bad, though a little slow in places, (I probably need to reread it).Changing track, Well I'm mildly annoyed, sinse my friend got the date wrong on Starwars and thought it was Thursday at midnight rather than Wednesday at midnight, and due to being in the wrong part of the country (and doing a random choire thing on stage), I missed it completely. I suspect I'll get to see the film at some stage, but it's still a bugger missing the premier. On the other hand the concert was sort of fun, as far as belting out
carols with an orchestra is always farely fun, and above all everything is now ready for flying out on Saturday to the states to spend christmas with my lady. I am debating what to play on the plane, though I am a wee bit worried about the charge on my Iphone. Then again, I'll also have my Victor and lots of books and music and such too, though it'd be nice to have a game or two sinse I've got quite a long journey which is likely to seem even longer given how much I anticipate getting there.I have also nearly finished Daughter of the Forest by juliet marilier, a sort of celtic novel with fantastical elements about the Britains and irish based on the legend of the brothers who were turned into swans by a curse and their sister who has to spin and weave shirts out of nettles to bring them back. Generally pretty good going especially in character, albeit her history is a little off I think and her depiction of the Britains as a completely different people f
rom the Irish celts, though it had a few rough edges in pacing and descriptionparticularly a lack of distinction between the first person narration of present events and how the main character was feeling at the time. I'll be doing a review for it I think.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

I'm sorry gamecreator to hear about your breakup. Those can be very rough and can take a long time to get over. I hope you can find some opportunities to keep busy and do something you love. I have always found making games to be far too complex and taxing, kind of like building a sandcastle one grain at a time. I have no idea how anyone does it, but I've always meant to look into inform 7, in order to right a story with some interactive elements. You're right Dark that people respect titles for no apparent reason, but getting a PH.D. at least means that you were able to focus on one topic for a couple of years and in some way add to it, which is more than I can say for myself. I start each day trying to learn more Japanese, but after 5 minutes get distracted on youtube because of some news story, and then I'm in the mood for some Beethoven, and then I'm reading the news, and so on. I love learning, but can't concentrate on one thing long enough
to learn anything interesting.     I did manage to get all my Christmas shopping done in one intense two hour burst though, and I think everyone will be satisfied. I find when you're shopping on a budget, the best thing to do is get something that's either edible or drinkable, as everyone likes to relax with something delicious after the hectic holidays.     I've been meaning to read more classic science fiction, as well as more classics in general, so I'll have to pick up some heinlane. I've tried Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle, because I love alternate history, but have yet to find a book that tackles alternate history in enough depth. The Man in the High Castle came the closest though I think.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

Sorry to hear about the circumstances Game creator, just don't take it out on your students sinse you know what happens to nasty teachers, they end up betraying their head masters to dark lords, leading double lives as spies and finally getting bitten to death by big evil snakes, , sorry, Harry Potter moment. As to me things have been hechtic. I got a lovely phone call on Thursday morning telling me I couldn't fly, sinse Bermingham airport wasn't authorized to carry assistance dogs outside of Europe. They could do europe, but not anywhere outside which was bloody stupid! needless to say I panicked, particularly because not being with my lady is pretty painful right now. After yelling a lot, several phone calls to united airlines and Defra, the department of environment, food and raural affairs (who also handle animal immigration), it eventually turned out to be a stupid situation. United believed that Defra were being obstructive delibera
tely andnot letting anyone! fly out of bermingham. Defra however said they'd be happy to, all that was needed was for Bermingham to submit the application, the problem is said application seemed to have been lost in the filing system of doom and nobody could find it for Bermingham airport staff to do. The original solution to this was going to involve me getting two hours coach journey to heathro airport ontop of about 12 hours flying. However, it turns out Bermingham actually have! authorized me to travel, and more than that, have now got the bloody form so other people with assistance dogs can travel outside Europe from Bermingham, and apparently soon enough (sinse it's owned by the same administration), from Manchester as well.Honestly! this was a situation where everyone thought the other person was saying no and nobody talked to each other, I actually did tell Defra (who were surprisingly helpful for a government department), that I wished I could bang p
eople's heads together! What is really! extra silly is that during my panic I got very officious (something I don't do often but seeing my lady was at stake), and introduced myself as "doctor! so and so, disability advocate" all of which is broadly speaking true. However, this then resulted in them having a panic of their own and saying "We have to sort this out" Oh for goodness sake! The moral of this story is, George R R Martin is still right, people are impressed by titles for no readily apparent reason . In other news, everything is getting sorted for the trip. before I go, as well as the starwars premier I'm doing a choral thing on wednesday where I am singing a couple of peaces on stage at Nottingham theatre in a choire with the haly orchestra at their christmas concert. i'm not really a choire perso
n, but hay it's chance to sing in front of a propper audience, though I wish we were singing something a little more interesting than "chestnuts roasting on an open fire", and "It's beginning to look a lot like christmas" The really crazy thing is though I was sent a couple of sound files to download with the tenor part I didn't get chance to look at them, so just turned up at the rehearsal and learnt the part anyway, still it keeps the old brain box busy . So lots of fun, though I am working on the Blindfold Breakout description which hopefully should be done before I go. I don't know if there will be a big Crimbo eeve updates this yearas there has tended to be,  previously each year, for which I appologise in advance.

Actually Mirage, the Dr. bit is not a lie, or at least not entirely albeit I'm waiting for one final set of corrections on my thesis to finish. I have however written a doctoral thesis on disability, had it be accepted, done a viva etc, it's just they decided they wanted more corrections than they planned after I finished the previous corrections, the scuzbags. So while it was a miner stretch of the truth, it wasn't too much of one. Also btw, my new review for cat who walks through walls by Robert Heinlein is done, find it on www.fantasybookreview.co.uk. A recommendation by my lady, and an interesting one. I'm now reading daughter of the forest by juliet marillier, which is proving good, albeit a trifle rough in places. I'll see if I can get a review for this done when I'm finished too, though again no promises.Anyway, before I go to bed I need to upload the page for Blindfold
Breakout, and that'll be another game in the db, hurrah!

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

@Gamesmaster, that's cool, so long as people don't skimp on presents and just give you one lot :d. And just think, if you'd been born just a few hours later you'd have been a year younger. @Nial, no ideas on careers, but I did once meet a lady who'd taught English, and indeed Spanish in Japan, and had really liked it, indeed she went on to be a language teacher.I'm actually going to the states for three weeks not one, indeed it would've been a full month accept for Reever's vaccinations needing 22 days, though in fairness that would've made it quite a rush to get everything sorted out. I've unfortunately not heard of any audio described buffy and angel, or indeed firefly come to that. I actually don't mind the adventure of the week format, not when it's done well and mixed in with ongoing plot, so that you have a nice balance of something new and a story to keep you hooked. This is what some book
series, particularly the urban fantasy ones like Dresden and Sandman Slim are doing and it's popular, albeit I've yet to find an urban fantasy I really liked, (lots are fun though I've not found any yet that are mind blowing). Ironically, in both Buffy and Angel it's the characters, dialogue and plot that I like, the things Weeden excells at. The vampires and demons and such are what you'd expect, but it's how they're dealt with, for example in the episode of Angel I watched last night one guy from the evil demonic law firm, the ones who are always seen doing shady deals with the bad guys but never getting their hands dirty was asked to authorize the assassination of three children. He then did a runner to tell Angel said news, but is wavering as to whether he should be loyal to the firm or do the right thing, and what is particularly cool is this being Joss Weaden, I really don't know which way he'll go. Oh, and just
for amusement value the assassin is a woman with awsome combat skills who was trained to have unnatural powers of perception by an order of cave dwelling monks, so maskerades as being blind, something which the evil lawyers use when she winds up in court to get her off even when she's found literally holding the proverbial bloody knife. It's not even the "super blind" syndrome, sinse it's made pretty clear she isn't blind, even though her eyes don't work, she just plays on the cultural sterriotype of blind people as helpless. @Nin, I could go on for hours about Tolkien and his universe, a great subject to study. I would also highly recommend the Encyclopedia of Arda not only as a great reference (with some handy articles), but also as a useful source of tolkien related links from the scholarly to the silly. I definitely sympathise with not seeing your girlfriend. At t the moment my la
dy and I are spending several hours a day on the phone in trans atlantic phone calls, but it's certainly not the same.Well today, despite sleeping extremely badly I've got lots of stuff to do (aside from said long phone call), including go to the bank and pick up my traveler's checks for the states, transfer everything! onto my new passport drive to take with me (sinse my lady and I do a lot of swapping of books and music), and also phone my mobile company to see about using my Iphone over there. Oh, and also at some point I have to start on the blindfold games from kid friendly software, sinse I have actually now played Blindfold breakout and I do feel a little bad that all of these don't have db pages sinse the developer has done such a great job, as well as being a nice guy. Breakout is actually pretty cool and I'll likely keep it on my phone, indeed I'll probably pick up most of the others in the series. The only one that I
've tried so far was an earlier version of blindfold racer, which I think still had some buggy control issues that made it rather difficult to play.Well now Coffee is needed!

I have my bachelor's degree this year as well so I have a lot of reading to do but I've chosen a subject that fascinates me so it's not a problem, i'll be working on Tolkien and his universe, mostly studying the silmarillion due to it's complex history. I am also taking courses to become a teacher in french and english and I had my first attempts at teaching, it was a very odd experience for me being on the other side, I never imagined myself as a teacher before this year. the experience went well though and I actually started to like it. i'll be teaching english next semester and can't wait for that though the lesson preparing process is a bit more difficult than i t
hought and that's what keeps me from actually wanting to work as a teacher. and also the small wages that teachers have in my country is not helping either.

Hey there everyone,it sounds like you all are having a rather exciting and busy time, especially Dark and Gamesmaster. Congradulations on finding a lady to share your life with Dark and that sounds like it'll be one mind blowing week for you gamesmaster. I personally prefer to spread my celebrations out, so I'm glad that my birthday is a few months later. I've been considering getting into Buffy and Angel, as I loved Firefly and the Avengers, and Joss Weedon just seems to be an all round stellar guy. Do any of you know if it can be found with descriptions? I'm really not crazy about the Monster of the Week format, so I've only recently started to get interested in TV series as more and more are now designed to be watched in sequence. I haven't been up to as much as all of you it seems, but I did get a job application to a government run english teaching program in Japan. I think I'm their first blind applicant as far as I know, as th
e Japanese embacy called and asked me to write them a letter explaining how we get by in our every day lives. They assured me that they would give me a fair chance at getting in, but my hopes aren't very high. Otherwise I've been looking for more books to read as always, as well as considering taking online T E S L (teaching english as a second language) courses. I've recently graduated with my batchelor's degree and really have no other ideas on what to do next. So I'd love your book and show recommendations and or suggestions on career building.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

@Steve, the Leviathan chronicles is Here  As I said it's a bit of an odd ball series, not quite one genre or style, but good all the same. Byron Chronicles is an urban fantasy series (or at least it starts off that way),  set in the modern day with vampires, ghosts, demons etc. The main character is a guy called Buyron who is a mysterious figure who's been around for quite some time. The first episode isn't really representative, sinse it goes into zombocalypse, but the second episode is where the plot picks up. #byron himself does the narration in a wonderful deadpan way, though mostly it's a streight audio drama albeit one told from Byron's perspective,   oh and the series music is awesome! @Cooltirk, I download the episodes to series I like, so it's just a matter of grabbing the last few byron episodes and sticking them on my Victor for a marathan
. There are some series like tales from the museum which darker projects did that I didn't particularly care to collect, but mostly if I really like a series and am inclined to listen to it again I'll download and store it.Personally Children of the gods I found appealed to me less (I couldn't get past the first episode of that), just because there wasn't much in sounds, the narration seemed really clunky and I've never been one for all that hut hut hut!military! sol ja! thing for characters or ethos, it's just not appealed to me on it's own and Children of the Gods didn't have a lot else, just a big fight against aliens. In fairness I wasn't exactly a massive fan of the film Independence day that Children of the gods is based on either, it was silly fun but not something I took seriously. Actually the seen wi
th the bloody English bloody fine pilots always bloody makes me bloody laugh what what! especially the amount of times they say bloody in about two sentences .I might try children of the gods again at some point though. Oh, and for anyone interested, Children of the gods can be found Here Well I am in between concerts. I saw a christmas concert this morning and am going to see (or at least hear), handel's messiah this evening which should be good. It's actually one of the nicer things I like about christmas, albeit some christmas carols really get on my nurves for simplicity such as Nowell! Really can't we find better tunes than that? sometimes I think the old saying about the devil and good music just might be true . In other news, everything is now fixed for my trip to the states including traveller's checks, insurance, and such, so it's now a question of waiting. A little disappointing sinse I was going on the 9th, but then again if I did that I'd miss the midnight premier of the force awakens. I'll agree Aaron feel the force was good even if I missed a few bits you did (the light saber was cool though). I just hope the film isn't a total let down.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

@Cae, well if your niece/nephew thought the world outside was full of hard rock guitar playing, I can't really blame him/her for being reluctant to obey an eviction notice . Congrats on the coding. @Soul keeper, great job on the fifty K, that's a lot of words. It's something I'd fancy myself, accept that personally I tend to write in short bursts, right now I'm looking at preparing shorter peaces for publication. @Cooltirk, I actually could guess where Byron was going at the start of season 4. I think the last episode I heard was a couple through season 4, though i really need to hear the hole thing again to check the plot and what was happening. IN a way however, I'm actually pleased if it has a definite ending, sinse i hate these series that just sort of bimble on and on until they pretty much can be forgotten. I though
t Byron slightly lost the plot at the end of season 3, sinse while Season 3 started really strongly after the climax to season 2, I really wasn't sure where it was going, so I'm glad to here it wrapped up. How many episodes in season five? I probably need to grab the last couple and then do a buge byronathon. Btw, as Byron has a crossover with leviathan chronicles, I wonder where that is right now? I did see an announcement from earlier this year that said the rest of season 2 was on the way, but there's been nothing sinse. I'd hate to see it peter out without an ending, sinse it's one of the most unique things I've seen done in audio with it's combination of acting, narration and sfx and a story that hovers genres between scifi, horror, spy fiction, adventure story and goodness knows what. I particularly love the descriptions of real world locations, I was intreagued when they had the season 2 episode featuring the millenium br
idge in newcastle sinse both the descriptions of the bridge and of the city were very poetic and quite accurate (remember I live only 15 minutes on the train from Newcastle and know the bridge rather well). As for me, I needed to go to hospital this morning for a checkup which wasn't fun, though they confirmed my eye pressure was okay, (as I thought). On the plus side, I did pickup some good stuff for my trip to the states, including a 2 tb passport drive (sinse I'm taking my laptop). That will be great sinse it means I can take literally my entire audio, music and games collection with me, while still leaving my backup drive with everything, and also only use one plug socket (I also picked up a Uk to Us power adapter). Insurance is fixed, so it seems fine, indeed I@m trying to decide what sort of audiobooks and/or games I'm going to reserve for about 12 hours of planes (eight to get to the states, then two hours connecting flights with a couple of
hours waiting). I'm considering trying Tinstar, which I know is one of the longer Cog games, though I might also reserve an audio or book specially, or perhaps try blind legend or some of the blindfold games or any of the other many thins I need to review for the db, (I'm going to install Turf wars as it's just not the sort of mmorpg that interests me, though I have written a db description and just need to update a bit).My review for William Horwood's skallagrigg is up, which is good, I'm now writing one for the cat who walks through walls which is one of the most conflicting books I've ever read, given that it was both very witty and entirely appauling in places, often the same places. Right now I'm reading Railsea by China Mievil, which is a really unique idea, a world where the entire ground is covered by old rusty train tracks and trains go off exploring and hunting giant moles like wailing ships, (the captain is even look
ing for a white mole). Definitely unique, especially the way the language has a sort of rythm to it, though perhaps because it's a little lighter in tone than Perdido street station, i'm not finding it quite as fantastically amazing as that book was, only very good.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

Hello,@dark: [[wow]], that is awesome, I hope you enjoy your time in the US later this month, but before then I hope you enjoy The Force Awakens.Well I've been busy with martial arts and my drama group, First Act. We recently did a performance of Alice in Wonderland, and it went down a treat, we all loved it, the audience loved it, and it was just a real fun time. I played the March Hare and got to sing a version of the Unbirthday song, and it's great because we ended up moving all around the stage.Martial arts is also going well. I do an art called Sanshangong, my teacher, or master, has lived in china in the past. In fact some of his other students recently returned from China with him on a trip, and there was a huge report to read which was fascinating. I am waiting to find out if I am a brown sash or not, and if I get that, it'll be an awesome way to end the year. If it happens, I shall be moving on to the black sash next year.I'm lo
oking forward to both Christmas and The Force Awakens, so there's two countdowns in my head at the moment because of it. On MOnday I'm headed to a hospital to get my eye pressure checked to make sure it's OK, but the cool thing is after that we'll be doing shopping, and where we're going they have a Disney Store so I'm hoping there will be some star wars toys that make sounds.Apart from that, I've been playing a lot of Killer Instinct on the xbox one, in the alst few weeks I've had the chance to play against fellow forumight Sightless Kombat, and some of the characters they pick, well, they've learned well, there's one called Arganos who can set up walls on the stage and then crash opponents through it. I'm still sticking to Jago but am experimenting with other characters too, Hisaco is interesting but she walks slow and counter attacking can be hard.I am also really missing everyone that I met at Feel The Force Day
back in October, those guys are such an awesome bunch of people. So many different types of costumes to feel, voices to hear (I still think hearing the princesses talk with an american accent is really awesome!), being growled at by a predator and then coming face to face with a transformer, then a dinosaur as well, are among my favourite memories of this year. Someone called Karen from the UK Predators took me character hunting while my parents were outside for a while, we found someone in a steampunk costume, and then I got to go back stage and someone else gave me a tactile rubix cube, then I got to try on a bunch of costume helmets including boba fet which was interesting, it's quite muffled when your head is in there. Of course, I got to meet sightless kombat and Dark from this very forum which was really epic, yes, I met Dark himself after ten years! We got to also see a lightsaber that amde loads and I do mean loads of sounds and according to the person wielding it also
flashed a lot, more than the ones that you buy in stores.Well, taht's basically waht I've been up to lately, I'm not really sure what else I'll be doing before Christmas.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

There's only 11 episodes in season 5, but I guess if you really wanted to, you can now grab every single episode off the feed and have one hell of a binge listen is that even a word? ah well, it is now.If people can binge watch tv shows, why not binge listen to audiodramas.I could never get into the leviathan chronicles, for what ever reason I just couldn't get past the first episode.I started tuning out when it switched away from the submarine.I think it was the naration taking so long to explain that particular character's background.Another series which is good, but appears to take for ever for episodes to be released is Children of the Gods.Great audio and not a bad plot, but I probably wouldn't bother if I were you with that one until it's updated regularly.Byron Chronicles can be found at http://ericbusbypresents.com.Sorry, I haven't used HTML in y
ears, so I forgot how to do links.

Re: Monthly chat December 2015

@Cool_Turk thanks much.  As far as my life these past few days or weeks or months, who knows these days, it's relatively stress free. I have the feeling I might have started my S Quad Racing Beta Testing team a bit too early, simply because I don't have the time or patients to consistantly code on a project full time like that. Still, for their benefit, and so that I can actually make my vision for the game come true, I've been working. Slow working is still working, isn't it?  School is okay. I'm kind of excited, because one of the classes that really seems to spike a great deal of depression within me is being replaced with a web class, something I'm highly optimistic about because I for one get to spend two classes with my favorite teacher, and for two am interested in web development, that and most other things computer and code and tech related. Even still, I'm agoraphobic, and unfortunately this only seems to be getti
ng worse. People, at school anyway, well they intimidate me. It's not all of them, but to put a long story short, I'm not exactly the person you'd see shaking hands and greeting everyone with a smile upon my face. I basically got two "life coachings" the other day from two separate teachers, telling me that I should ask for help more when I need it. Not in an unfriendly way, and I'd be lying if I said they were wrong. But that's just me, I guess. A diligent worker when I want to be, a very shy individual except when I'm talking to my best friend or a certain girl who has my heart, and I guess with that there is a hesitance to ask for help.  Besides that, it's winter, and I guess my body is just catching up. I felt good earlier, but not so much anymore. My head aches, and I'm tired, and I can feel my head slowly stuffing up. Oh well.  That's basically about it for me.

I believe Leviathan Chronicles is dead, unfortunately. The last post on the website is over a year old, and I heard a rumor on the forum that one of the main guys moved to California. Pretty sad; it had some plot holes and inconsistencies, but I would have liked to see what happened, what with aliens on the loose, Leviathan about to collapse etc.

I just finished listening to what appears to be the final episode ever of The Byron Chronicles.I won't spoil it, but the ending, while wrapping up nicely, well I suppose they could do some sort of spinoff, based on what God was telling Byron.I can't really say more without giving away what happens.Wel, that's another audiodrama wrapping up, after 5 seasons.I guess I should have realised something when I saw all the old episodes that use to be on Darker projects appearing in the current feed.

@Cooltirk,  release your ramble! Come to the talk side! you know it is your destiny! I have heard of Angel as a commic, though obviously sinse this is my first watch through I don't want spoilers. I'll agree Angel generally is less witty than buffy, but I do find it darker and more compelling. Buffy has had it's moments thus far, but there have still been several disposable monster of the week type stories which are fun but not really worth much in the long run, where as thus far Angel seems more generally grim and focused and even when it does one off stories, they tend to be darker and harder hitting. Then again, I'm watching both series in order, so have finished season 3 of buffy and started season 1 of Angel, I'll then move on to Buffy season 4 afterwards.@Mirage thanks. I admit things have taken both my lady and I a little by surprise in terms of moving quickly, one friend of mine who visited while my lady was staying with m
e described being around us as mostly beautiful but a little nauseating, though she assured us the nauseating would likely pass . Still I can't deny things are just plane scary especially with how we just click.Btw, I use "My lady" when describing her to others because it seems the best term available. "partner" is too clinical, "girlfriend" sounds to adolescent, "Fiance" is too premature, and anything else is a little too cumbersome, unfortunately she's not found a similar description for me.

Thought I'd chime in here before I have to read through a whole heap of posts and forget what I was going to say..Angel is not as witty as buffy, thank god, but the ending for the series sucks.I heard somewhere they continued it in comics, something we can't enjoy unfortunately.that also seems to be the thing lately for tv shows that get axed, finish them as comics. They did it with Resurrection. No wonder most shows on TV these days suck.Anyway, that's my little soapbox, I'm not really the type to ramble on forums, I myself prefer to get to the point.

I disappeared today and Tuesday because I actually started coding and only just now managed to pause long enough to feel like internetting. My sister had a baby yesterday, and though I had my phone for the 9 hours I was at the hospital, I couldn't really bring myself to do much with it other than play music and watch Mr. Plinket's Starwars Prequel reviews for the I don't know how manyth time (I'm bad at seeking out new things. ). It was a bit ... ah... well, I had to remind myself that other people couldn't hear my headphones, what with my brother-in-law's relatives giving off the "Eek, dark humor and profanity; SCANDALOUS!" vibe, and me not wanting to put it to the test.If this baby continues to behave as he has for the past 9 months, he is likely to be either rather amusing, or rather frustrating... nowhere in the middle. Back wh
en they did the ultrasound video, he just looked irritated for a while, then flipped off the camera. ... Of course, she was pregnant with him when we went to that Nightwish concert, so I can only imagine the affects that a few hours of ear-splitting guitars must have had on him. (He was very unwilling to come out yesterday, at least.)
