Hi aaron. When you log in and click on your Profile you will see your games and how many achievements you have. click on the achievements link and then you will have a list with all of them. For every achievement you unlocked there will be displayed date and time when it was unlocked.

Finally, Nether Realm Studios and High Voltage Software are trying to compensate players for their impulsiveness, incompetence, and general disregard. Today I got the All Krypt Items unlock DLC for free, an additional accessory which usually runs for 20 bucks. It still sucks that I lost my progress, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, nor will I be ungrateful. At least they're listening and taking some strides to make things right. Recently, High Voltage Software, in cooperation with Nether Realm Studios  released Mortal Kombat X for the PC. The release's launch date was rife with untest code and features such as a streaming install that in theory would allow you to play certain modes while the game updated itself, but failed to deliver this promise in practice. Upon trying to click on menu items, the game crashed, and it wasn't until some time later when the game was made operable.Even when the game was made playable, it was still plagued by numerous bugs, including poor online synchronization, glitches in execution of finishing moves, lagging behind the console versions, and so on. The company(s) then released a patch that disabled streaming updates, but still left the PC version far behind its console counterparts in features and fixes.On the fifth of May, a 15 GB patch was released which was supposed to contain the DLC character Jason (from the Friday The 13th movies), as wel
 l as numerous fixes to bring the PC version up to speed with its console ports. The patch, despite its extremely redundant size, delivered the promised character, but failed to fix most of the bugs it had promised to fix. Furthermore, and worst of all, it corrupted the save states of multiple gamers on the PC platform, Eradicating any progress they had made towards unlocking characters, costumes, moves, etc. They then forced PC gamers to download yet another 15 GB patch, just to undo this faulty update.The sixth of May saw the release of yet another 15 B patch meant to address the data corruption error. Save data does now seem to be safe, for the moment, but no effort is being made to compensate PC gamers for the incompetence of the programmers involved, beyond a pitiful 10,000 Koins, which amounts to about two or three unlocks within the Krypt mode of the game. The patch has also introduced a new bug which means that the game will at times fail to terminate properly, and is 
 furthermore plagued by sluggish performance.Those of us who bought the game for the PC did not do so with the foreknowledge of being essentially a beta testing team who has paid for the privelege of debugging poor code. If you care about the lack of quality control being done by NRS and its affiliate High Voltage Software with respect to PC gamers, sign this petition to encourage them to make things right between themselves and the players who have purchased this product for the PC platform. Tell them to stop disregarding those of us who play on the PC, simply because neither Sony nor Microsoft have contracted them to care about us.Kai

As of today's patch (May sixth), the accessibility features work in the PC version of Mortal Kombat X, there being sounds for meters and interactables. It doesn't really make up for the save data corruption, since I'd learned to get used to not having the sounds (in fact, they kind of throw me off guard now that they're there), but for those who are new adoptars, or those who didn't get the broken patch, it's a welcome addition. I hear online code is still buggy as ever though, and the game feels sluggish to me at times, as though being played through lag. It's bad enough that I sometimes drop combos, because I'm not used to the timing changes. The game also doesn't always terminate properly unless you hit alt+f4. (Interesting to me that the exit option in the game doesn't properly exit.)Kai

Hello,Well let's hope they set things right. We've got another three characters to come in the kombat pack that a lot of people are excited about, hopefully fixing the updates and bringing jason into the game will then allow for future updates to run more smoothly. If this keeps up though I bet NetherRealm won't even consider the PC market next time unless they can find a more competent developer.What makes this annoying is mkx is meant to be a next-gen pc port, yet it has now been revealed, curtacy of the kombat kast, that high voltage are indeed the developers of the PC port, and once again, they've messed up. This is the third time in a row that this has happened, mk9 had glitchy audio at first, Injustice has a mono story mode, and now mkx is being plague with bugs which is making the more hardcore gamers angry. I am actually happy to wait for fixes, but this is a mainstream world we live in and some gamers are very vocal and might not be willing
  to wait, which could seriously hurt nether realm and high voltage if things aren't fixed quickly.

Neither Nether Realms nor High Voltage apparently seem to believe in in-house testing of their code. They release a patch which is supposed to bring the Steam port of MKX into line with the console ports, but then are required to pull that self same patch because it corrupts save data. So now Steam players neither have Jason, which they paid for, nor their save data, which they played for.I myself have been working hard in the Black dragon faction. I was level 50, and was slaving on unlocking Wicked Laser, the last faction kill. My profile level was around 60, and I was getting so close to the level 65 achievement. I had millions of coins from constant play, which I was planning to use in the krypt. I had tons of unlocked items, including backgrounds, icons, borders, costumes, etc, etc, not to mention a lot of leveling up of Liu Kang.All of this is now rendered moot. I now am level 6 in Black Dragon with only one Faction Kill, no leveling up of Liu Kang, only 16 thou
 sand coins (10 thousand of that as a result of their pitiful attempt at compensation for their ridiculousness), none of my unlocked icons, borders, or backgrounds (I have a whopping 4 backgrounds available to me at present), am level 5 in my profile, etc, etc, etc.I don't know how in the world they managed to release an update that could corrupt save data that badly, nor do I know how or indeed if they even plan to make things right. Furthermore, they required that I download 15 GB worth of data to update to the version that had Jason and destroyed my save data, and then was required to download yet again another 15 GB worth of data to remove Jason, any updates meant to bring the PC version into line with the console versions, and my game progress, just to sweeten the deal.I can only assume that this is part of a "Fresh Start" package being offered by Nether Realms, but if so, I don't know why they didn't charge me yet another micro transaction
  to enjoy the concept.I wish that I could convince Valve to recall Mortal Kombat X, and force WB to refund Steam members the cost of the game and any additional content that might've been purchased as a result, including the Premium Edition or Kombat Pack.This is without even mining the treasure trove that is the poorly executed net code. Last night, I was playing a game with a pal, and at one juncture, the game basically turned into the world's slowest slideshow of different poses.Nether Realms obviously doesn't care about the PC gaming market, which is why they outsource the development of that port to a third party. If they really didn't care about it, though, they should've made it a console exclusive, rather than taking money from people for a poorly tested, poorly supported, and poorly executed version.Many people have been saying that pirated versions of this game work better, and while I am not advocating piracy, perhaps i

Just to let everyone there was a Kombat Kast  featuring Jason's Debut with Ed Boon as a special guest.Also, Jason is now available to those with the Kombat pack.  However, he won't just appear - you have to install him (you might be able to do it outside of the game but I did it from within the game directly).  Also, I don't know if you need the horror pack or not, but I'd suggest if you can get it do so just in case for those with the kombat pack.For those who don't have Jason releases a week from now on May 12th.A patch for the PC version of the game is expected later today to bring it in line with the console versions.  We'll have to see if that holds true though.

Got the game installed. Considering it's now running off a USB 3 hard drive instead of a SSD I don't notice much of a difference, maybe a second or two more of loading between fights which really isn't all that much. The one thing I can't figure out is the acccessibility mode. I was under the impression that this was added in an update. I changed accessibility to true in options.ini, but it didn't do anything. I then tried to follow the instructions mr.brunet gave in #327. They for the most part seemd to ahve matched, apart from being able to press X/A/twice at the end, which I couldn't do on the last option so I did it on the one below. In any case I'm still not getting any audio queues and I tried it on stages that I know for a fact have interactables because I ran through the whole thing mashing the interact key and got things to happen.Has anyone on PC managed to get this to work?

Yep... the voiceacting has definitely kicked up a noch this game, which is fantastic. The characters don't sound like they're working with a translated script... and it doesn't sound like a bad 1970s kung fu film dub anymore. If you don't know what I mean, look them up on youtube.. some of them are okay, and some others are so bad as to be hilarious. The hits definitely have a lot more oomf to them too, which is also great.

So, what happened with me is that I first got the game on a... certain site through a certain protocol to see if it would even run. It did, and a few days later I finally got the money and a rather good deal for it which got me MKX and the kombat pack for 48 euros including vat. No idea if it includes goro or not,that's something I'll find out when it finishes downloading. For some reason it's a 87GB download even though, the other version and the steam page both say the game needs 30/40 GB.From what I played, the game feels quite a bit faster - coming back to MK9 after mostly playing skullgirls took some doing. MKX is still slower than SG but not as much. The sound design is even better than before which is quite surprising, I didn't really see how it could be improved but you can hear the sounds are even more gory. The story mode, at least to the second raiden fight which is where I got before buying the game, is quite awesome. Lots going on and the vo
 ice acting has its moments (the intro to the last scorpion fight comes to mind)

Just for fun, here's a section pasted from a preview of the game from one of the websites which I use for my fighting game news, reviews, etc... and these were the first impressions of the game from the webmaster before release, and he's working on the full review now, so we'll see what he thinks later down the road. But he basically says everything I think about the game, minus the animation stuff since I could hardly care less about that. rofl.Mortal Kombat probably has the most mainstream name recognition out of all fighting game series in existence. This can be attributed to the never-ending controversy to the censor-shattering gore, and the unforgettable, iconic characters who... regardless of how many FATALITIES have been performed on them... will never actually die.  After an arguably awkward debut in the form of a trailer featuring unfitting rap music and choppy, "puppet-like" kicking & punching animations... MKX has shaped up nic
 ely and looks like it might turn out to be not only a solid MK game, but a solid fighting game. We can also expect NetherRealm to pack a truck-load of cool bonus content (but hopefully won't abuse the fanbase with paid DLC). In the past, the  MK series has had mixed luck with bringing in "new" to the series, but  MKX's fresh batch of sinister kombatants are pretty intriguing thus far. MK9 definitely turned some heads in 2011 (by decapitating them - no pun intended)... but the next-gen gore factor of MKX is clearly going to take things to another level. Obviously,  MK is still going for their token "shock value"... but considering the last few fighting games by NetherRealm Studios, the gameplay  system will most likely be entertaining, balanced, and hopefully... fun.  p> One of my main gripes about Injustice: Gods Among Us (besides the iffy animation quality) is that the "normal-sized" characters appear skinny and small onscreen.  Mortal Kombat X looks to completely remedy that issue... as characters appear respectably beefy onscreen when up close, and only become smaller when they move farther apart (it's almost like they read my review or something).  Nice touch NetherRealm... I'm almost getting nostalgia flashbacks from the NeoGeo days. I've always been a skeptic any time a new Mortal Kombat game is announced. I remember being disappointed in laughter by many past MK titles, but MK9 actually surprised me. And from the looks of it, MKX should deliver on most fronts. NetherRealm has even more surprises up their sleeve. I've actually enjoyed covering MKX in the news, and definitely look forward to giving MKX a full TFG review soon!

Thanks for the pointer sightless. I'll try it next time I play. As to the story, sure it fits the presentation, and I haven't played through the whole thing yet... but there's a difference between cliche which can be okay, and simply bad writing. Luckily, so far I haven't seen anything like that yet... MK 9 was chalk full of plot holes and writing that didn't make a lot of sense. Presentation has never been a fault of the game, but some of the writing just confuses the blue blazes out of me. but I'm loving the story of this game so far. And yes, the blood and gore fits the game, that's what MK is all about, really. I meant it's overrated as in that is what MK sells itself on nowadays, along with a ton of single player content. Especially during the 3d games, gameplay always took a backseat for how much gore and bloody stuff Midway could cram into the game. It's nice to see things going the other way with gameplay being more of a priorit

MK 9 was a good start, and this definitely feels like an improvement... but the combo system, while fluid, is a different style to games like Killer Instinct tekken which have much more fluid juggles. But I'm not impartial to one fighting game over another, at least I'm trying to be less so. And you could start a combo thread, would be nice to see what comes up from people. but I'm not quite sure what you mean by finding a combo list that doesn't use symbols.. And unfortunately, there probably won't be many of them in an organized list, likely they'll be scattered all over the net. hahaha.

@assaultThe game is indeed fluid.  I wouldn't say the blood/gore is overrated, I'd say it fits the game.I had a good time with story mode, even if parts of it are a little cliched in places.  I think it all works together well though in terms of presentation etc.I'm trying to find kombo lists that are in standard notation and that aren't using strange symbols and that aren't just the default strings in the move list.If you guys want I can start an MKX kombo list thread as well so we can all contribute to it.The interactive sound cues are there, I've been playing with those for the past few days.  The option to activate those I believe is in options/gameplay, I think it's the last option (op one from the default starting position.).

Anyone else have impressions of the game to share so far? I like it so far. Combos are still not as fluid as other games I've played, but they're certainly fun to pull off especially when juggles are successfully performed. The x-rays are good as well, longer than they were before... overall this game's gore and blood factor is still way overrated, but the fighting system is a blast. Having to hit block for special moves to enhance them at different levels is a little inconsistent, but that's probably because I'm playing on a pc keyboard. the dang intro dialogs are a mixed bag... so many of them are badly written as to be cringeworthy. Blazblue CP and Guilty gear Xrd do a much better job. Some of the intros are good, however. Story mode is good as well, and the plot this time around isn't that bad... though I also said that early on in MK 9. We'll have to see how things turn out as the plot thickens.

@assault_freakyou have one brutality per characcter unlocked at the start, for scorpion, it's the spear one. but for the rest, you have to unlock them. if you fulfill the requirements for the others, but you haven't unlocked them yet, brutalities won't come out.scorpion has one called just a scratch, but if you do it without buying it in the krypt, the move will never come out.speaking of the krypt, please ask me what you are confussed about, it'll be easier to answer this way.

I'm a little confused as to how brutalities work... is it confirmed that we have to unlock them to actually use them? Or is that just for them to appear in the actual move list screen? Hypothetical example using scorpion, for his get over here brutality, all I have to do is have more than 50% health and then kill my enemy using a combo into his enhanced double spear when the opponent;s health is low enough that it will put him in the stun state for fatalities?

@assault_freakI only can tell you how to autoconfigure your Settings for graphics. Start the game then go down 5 times to Options press enter. then two down to graphics again enter. Then go down nine times to Auto config and press enter the game tests your config and autoconfigures the Settings. The Sound should stop after a while for a bit and resume then press enter to tell the game that you want the changes to be saved. hth.

@assaultIt should've created it after you ran the game, try looking again and see if it's appeared.I have no idea how to turn the game's settings down - my PC runs it ok, so haven't had to fiddle with it.For those wondering, invasion boss is ridiculous.  You have to survive for 30 seconds, but the boss has a lot of armour and what feels like super speed.If only the modifiers were spoken by the announcer, the outworld tower (and everything else that uses them) wouldn't be just a matter of luck.  I say outworld tower because that's the current invading realm, with mileena being the boss.

So apparently I can only select different characters by using the a, s, d, and w keys rather than the arrows like in rest of the menus where you can do that. One last question, does anyone idea on how to configure the game to turn everything down a little so my computer could handle it better? hahaha. I can't find the ini file, and mortal kombat x doesn't have any visible program directory. thanks.

Well, haven't been able to test it. I'm having the problem with things being locked, and I have no idea how to fix it. Only able to play as scorpion, and the game says it's finished everything. I'm seeing something in my steam called MK x main depo, what exactly is that? When I try installing it it tells me something about an invalid install path. Any fixing solutions that'll help me get access to everything? I'm not liking this. lol

Interesting video, but useless, quite frankly. Maybe I'm catching the gamefaqs syndrome, but I can't help but think this guy just isn't good at the game so has to turn release check off and thinks that it's such a huge deal. Injustice also had this feature, if I remember right... and I never even noticed it. Thanks for putting it up though, hopefully helps some people who as you said might have a harder time with combos... just isn't something I think is necessary I guess. I think it actually takes more skill to do combos and cancels that way since your timing has to be strictor but it's just me. I reckon that's why the option is there, for preference... and thanks for pointing out where the ini file is.  I'll dig aroound in it and see if I can change anything that helps it run better on my system. haha.

The options.ini file should be located in:%appdata%\mk10As I've just done some digging around in there, I found a line of interest, featuring the words:accessibility = falseI've changed this to true, but don't know if this is the accessibility mode we've been looking for.@assaultAll your graphics options are in there as well as far as I can tell, but I can't speak for what everything does.A very useful video I found though is this from youtuber infamy 23 that explains why kombos and by extension possibly brutalities and fatalities, are so difficult to pull off consistently.  If you can get sighted help to change these options as instructed it might help everyone get those bnb combinations down.@assaultGood luck with the game, let us know how you get on.  Hopefully the guide is of help - what there is of it currently at l

Hopefully be the last question before I head out for my trip! MK x is on its way to being done downloading, and I'm excited to play. New characters, some new mechanics, the fact that there is now a variation system for different characters, and faktions which aren't actually accessible and don't have any real impact. No more challenge tower, and no accessibility mode. Stage interactibles are also present in this game, but less than in Injustice. That's more or less it. The new characters are probably the biggest thing besides the story though.

And one more then... I am currently trying to add a credit card to my steam account. Well, glad people have been enjoying it. Looks like I will have to wait until I get home next week to play the game... since the download won't finish on my laptop before I leave. So far the only gripes I have about the game from everything I've heard are still the QTE's changing the scene even if it's only a few animations, sine I want to watch the outcomes without having to go through them on youtube. And region locking the game, especially in this generation, is stupid. Fighting games are the one genre of game that should not be region locked... and the odds of them fixing that and the sound levels are slim to none, since to NRS those aren't big issues that warrant attention. Looking forward to playing though, just bummed out that I have to wait.

I can now confirm that, at least on my end, the PC version now has all modes etc unlocked.  Also, contrary to what one guide I read says, you don't have to have completed tutorial to "unlock story mode" - just click it and it'll work.I have completed story and I'll say nothing more about it to avoid spoilers.The PC version has an interesting audio glitch, whereby nvda and such fade in as they're speaking the first words of a sentence or similar.  This is very problematic when you're trying to read a guide for moves etc on the same PC that the game's running on.As for how the game runs, it runs very well on this end.  It's not quite as fluid as the console version, but I'd say it's pretty close.

Hello,I'm sorry, but this is going to be a ranty post, I don't want to take this off topic but it is also related, and I'm now annoyed. Well, I've now really decided something, the sighted gaming community, at least on steam, are truly ungreatful. The single player game should be fixed yet people are still angry, claming that the Kombat Pack shouldn't be for sale well that's actually a season pass, but at the same time, the actual pack description itself does not state that anywhere so I can see why people are annoyed, but that's what they get for not keeping up with news. Saying that though, I don't think people should have to keep up with news, I think the pack needs an updated description for those not in the know.The ones that truly annoy me though are people who say stuff like oh, I'm now gonna try to sell my Steam account and pirate every game from now on, come on, that is way overkill. I don't know if that's
  a way of trying to get the devs to listen, but seriously, I think give em a break, they also are human and have lives. So much entitlement going on. I can also understand the game being region locked when it shouldn't making people angry, especially unfortunately those in Germany, so, hopefully that'll be fixed assuming the game isn't banned or anything silly like that.

@cjThe guide is currently in the articles room if you want to take a look.I must say I'm pleased with the netcode - everything I've played online thus far feels smooth and about as fluid as the offline game.The UI is rather strange in terms of the levels of some of the sounds - things are quiet sometimes, other times things that probably should make a sound don't seem to etc... Just one of those odd quirks that could be patched if it's a problem.

Having now played the game, I can safely say I'm impressed.  There's tiny little details thatif you don't know they're there you won't notice them - different attack grunts during x-rays for example.Story is also worth playing - haven't completed it yet but hope to get that done soon.  I actually played online as well.  I got hit by guys basically using the overpowered uppercuts to their advantage, but once I played as sub-zero things started to get interesting.  I actually managed to pull off an online fatality as well, which I really wasn't expecting.The guide I'm working on has been updated with a transcription of tutorial, I'll try and clean up the spellings and things later if I can.  If there are any glaring errors let me know - I know I switch notation several times, but it shouldn't be too hard to understand.For those who got the imported edition from Amazon, there's no Gor
 o and no kombat pack, which I must say even though I was kind of expecting it, still annoyed me - I preordered the game like you said, Netherrealm...Just waiting for my PC copy to finish downloading - they don't give you a disk with everything on it... Rather strange considering they could probably do that if they wanted to.The QTE's don't seem to have an effect on the next fight or anything, just on the outcome of the scene - who comes out the worse for ware in the cutscene really.Was annoyed to see that there was no accessibility mode as had previously been speculated, but I'm guessing that could just be patched in.Overall, well done NRS, apart from a botched PC launch you've done well with the game itself, I'd say.

Very true Aaron, though it definitely makes for an amusing reading experience on game FAQ boards. As yet I haven't bought the game either, I've considered getting a ps4 for a few reasons, one of which consoles still definitely seems to be the first choice for gaming, and it really shows sometimes. As far as I'm aware though, there's really not too much we can play. Someone feel free to correct me on that, and if we'd rather start a separate thread for discussing PS4 (if that's totally not already happened) that works too. I've seen a lot of gameplay though, and I watched Liam's stream last night. I really didn't see QTE come into play much at all, but I did tune in later so I probably missed it somewhere.

Hello,Please keep us posted.btw single fight works fine, so I did a battle with I think kung jin and kung lao, I forgot, and here are my findings:on my system used for gaming, it runs very fluid indeed. Liking the game's stereo depth during fights, you really hear characters fly across the screen. The x-rays are really brutal this time!Hopefully the game will be fixed quite soon. Honestly though, I don't mind waiting, unlike some of the sighted Steam gamers getting really angry! Come on, it's only a game, not the end of the world!

Hello,I think Goro is now released according to some PC users. All packages are downloaded correctly, and everyone is having the same problems: no scorp, sub zero, story mode, towers, or online. Yes, this basically means no arcade mode either.

Mk X is the first game using the Streaming download procedure. On the ps4 ist working. Germany is launching mk x at 9 this evening. A Little bit more then an hour. I'll have to wait. Maybe then it will work.

The background interactibles will be just as much of a problem as they were back in Injustice before the accessibility mode. As for why they're bothering with streaming installs and the like, it's just the way this generation is going. But MK X seems to be the only game with this problem, at least on ps4... I don't know about steam. Friends of mine have played games as they're installing with no problems.

Hello,Try deleting local content by right clicking the game and such. That's all I can suggest. This is definitely a bit of a mess up and I don't really know why they are bothering with this streaming install stuff.When I launch my game nothing is happening, although it is downloading still so I'm just going to wait. I had to end the mk10 procesas in task manager luckily it kept downloading.
