verify every transfer before we fund it. As part of our new fraud

[e-gold-list] Re: Cash Cards - Gold Card Delays

2003-10-26 Thread Steve Renner
> Subject: Cashcards - Ridiculous Delays and False Promises

Yes Jim, as you must have read in my most recent update to our Members,
there
have been unexpected delays from the new Bank, and particularly from the ATM
Network administrators. Things have changed in the last couple years since
the Terrorist Attacks of 9/11. With Homeland Security, Patriot Act, etc.,
and
there is a hightened scrutiny for programs like ours.

Things are not as easy as they were 2 years ago, when we could order cards
and have them FedEx'd out the next day.

We reported the facts as they were given to us by the bank, back in our
Update of October 9, 2003, that the cards were in and would be shipped to us
in a couple days. Since then, the bank has come back with several items they
did NOT like on our website. As you can see there have been many changes
made to the website. We feel thast we have fully complied with all their
requests,
and are waiting their approval (blessing) so we can get new cards out to all
our
Members.

The new cards are in, fully embossed and ready to ship, we are simply
waiting for
the green light. They meet once per week, on Tuesdays, and we fully expect
to get
our final approvals so we can get the new cards out.

I will be sending out another update, the moment we get our final approval,
to let all our Members know to expect delivery of their new cards.

Thanks to all out our Members for your patience and understanding during
this transitional period.

Jim, as always, thanks for your kind words, and support.

[e-gold-list] Re: Court Order

2003-04-05 Thread Steve Renner
The question is, what do you do if you mistakenly fund the wrong account,
especially for a large sum of several thousand dollars? Since E-Gold is a
Non-Repudiable system, there is no way to recover your funds. You might ask
the owner of the account to give it back, and they may or may not give it
back to you, they are under no obligation. That is if you can even figure
out who the owner of the account is.

According to the very 1st line of the E-Gold Terms of Use Policy:

Unless (1) otherwise approved by User or (2) ordered by a court or
arbitration body of acceptable jurisdiction, as determined by Issuer, Issuer
shall not reveal User's contact or identifying information or transaction
history to any third party must obtain a Court Order to recover your funds.

Cash Cards is simply following E-Gold Policy that any user must follow to
determine who the owner of an account is, and then to potentially recover a
mistaken spend. It's possible the the account could have completely false
profile information, and you may never even find out who owns the account.

> I have no objection to give back money that is not mine, but obviously it
is the
> person who made the mistake that should take the losses and damages that
are
> done to get the money back. I am not going to take any loss on this.

The issue is not that Danny is objecting to returning the funds, or that
E-Gold is a Non-Repudiable system, rather that he is concerned that he will
lose money on the fluctuation of the price of gold.

> By this court order I could end up paying back more gold than was
mistakenly put
> into my account. This is ridiculous of course and makes this court order
> logically invalid.

> The court order will have to be changed and show the amount in gold grams,
not $

So basically Danny is not even objecting to the Court Order, only that he
should repay in grams and not dollars. This is a good valid point, and the
order has been amended to reflect the amount in Troy Ounces (gold grams) and
not dollars.

Cash Cards has even offered to pay Danny a 10 grams bonus, ( Roughly $100 ),
for the inconvenience.

This matter can be resolved quickly, we are simply requesting that Danny do
the right thing and authorize the return of the funds, without having to go
through a lengthy court process.

Are we wrong to follow the E-Gold rules ? I'm sure at one time or another
anyone who has used E-Gold for a while has made a mistaken spend. Then what
do you do?

E-Gold is a Non-Repudiable system, and as stated in the E-Gold User
Agreement:

2.4.1. User agrees that all Spends initiated by User are final and not
reversible.

2.4.2. User is responsible for all Spends from User's e-gold account, except
as provided in section 2.3, even if the instructions provided by User are
incorrect.

2.5. Disputes Between Users

2.5.1. Any disputes that arise between Users are not the responsibility of
Issuer.

And what if your account has been compromised, has this ever happened to any
one?

2.3.1. User is responsible for the protection of User's Passphrase that
gives access to User's e-gold account. User agrees that, in the event of the
loss or misuse of User's Passphrase, Issuer disclaims all liability for such
loss. User shall indemnify and hold harmless Issuer for relying on
transactions authorized using User's Passphrase prior to such time as User
notifies Issuer that User's Passphrase has been compromised.

In their wisdom E-Gold has given users an option to potentially recover
funds if they make a mistaken spend or if their account was compromised.

Is any user wrong for following E-Gold's rules and Policies for recovering
funds? Is Cash Cards as an exchange provider wrong to follow these rules? I
think not. Over the last 2 years Cash Cards has provided exchange services
for 1,000's of E-gold customers. We have process $Millions in E-Gold
transactions without a complaint. We take pride in providing our Members
with the best service possible.

I would be glad to discuss this personally with anyone from the list, our
phone number is listed below.

It is unfortunate that you have had to experience the reality of the

Any email adderss you have will eventually be found by sophisticated email

Spam. It's not much different then your regular postal mail box, you move
to a new house and before long you will be receiving every kind of pizza
coupon and other advertising media than you could possibly imagine.

This is why we have created our own V-Mail System which is FREE for all
Cash Cards Members. V-Mail is completely encrypted email system and has
many great features including sophisticated Spam Filtering. V-Mail in is
final
beta testing now and is scueduled for release sometime next month. ( April

Hi Everyone,

My Apologies to the Egold List and to Canadians. Bullion Coins are
reportable and confiscatable by the US Government, as gold has been 7 times
in US history, under Executive Order of the President of the United States
Franklin Roosevelt, issued April 5th, 1933.

In my haste, (and with Canadian Maple Leafs in mind), I inadvertantly
mentioned the Canadian Government.

the unbelievably low price of $599.95. each. They are advertised by major
retailers at $995.

Also the French Angel or Swiss 20 Frank vintage vintage 1871 to 1998 in
Brilliant Uncirculated condition are available for immediate shipping for
$159. each. These have a retail value of $299.95

Order any of these coins today and we will include Free Shipping.

Hi Julian,
I see that you are not aware that Visa can at any time go into your account
and levy fines or reverse and even freeze your deposits. Plus Visa keeps
close tabs on every transaction you do for reporting purposes.

The Cash Card System - powered by Standard Reserve- is a completely private
system, independent of any Banks or Credit Card companies.

And as a Merchant, if you accept these type of bank cards you are exposed to
Chargebacks, Cyber Shoplifting, and and numerous other possibilities of
Fraud. The Cash Card offers Merchants a 100% Chargeback abd Fraud Free
solution.

Once again I ask you to think on a larger scale than your own back yard.
There are many countries that do not have the same luxuries as we are
accustomed to here such as Freebie bank cards.

There are billions of people in South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the
Middle East, who need the services we have to offer.

You are correct Julian, for your purposes, your own locak bank card would be
more cost effective. Our service is aimed at a different market.

Thanks for your inquiry!

The Net Anywhere account (Cash Card Classic account) has all the features of
the Cash Card account without the card. You need to understand that the Cash
Card is an International means of eCommerce. Not the type of card you would
use for a $15 tab at the bowling alley. You need to think Globally.

When you are doing business with people from other parts of the Globe the
Cash Card is invaluable in instantaneous funds transfers, and currency
conversion. Imagine buying some goods from a supplier in Japan. You can
transfer funds to their Cash Card account from your Cash Card account, which
you funded with US dollars, then they can go immediately to the ATM and pull
their funds out in Japanese Yen. Amazing!

Your issue with a few bucks for fees is totally off track. You are looking
to save a few bucks, but you are missing out on a $Million opportunity in
International eCommerce.

Hi Craig,

I have read about your situation with the closing of your Net Anywhere
account. I understand that you may not see the value of the Net Anywhere
account. I on the otherhand see an enormous value to these accounts. We call
these accounts our Cash Card Classic accounts.

In fact, I was the one of the 1st to suggest that Standard Reserve should
charge for these accounts. As a business man and exchange agent with one of
the largest customer groups in Standard Reserve, (27,000 Members and growing
strong), I can give you a laundry list of reasons why people are actually
getting a bargin at only $3.00 per month for the service that this account
provides.

Needless to say, I would be honored to assist you in recovering your $9.00
from your account. Therefore I have transfered 1.05 grams ($9.00) of gold to
your egold account# 106762 (Name:SnowDog).

I would further like to offer you and the other members of the e-gold list a
special discount on our Cash Card - powered by Standard Reserve. The Cash
Card gives you access to your egold funds at over 500,000 ATM's worldwide.
Simply transfer your funds from your egold account to your Cash Card
account, and they are instantly available to spend at any ATM or 1,000's of
merchants who accept debit cards. And as always egold transfers are FREE!

Also, we will gladly exchange funds for you from Standard Reserve accounts
to egold anytime.

Here is a testimonial from 1 of our customers:

Dear Steve,

My thanks to Steve Renner at CCI for recent Support. Whatever happened
to my missing egold transfer? CCI acted quickly and responsibly with
professional support, attempting to track down what went wrong, and
ultimately, a return transfer of funds to my e-gold account in the nick of
time to meet my deadline! I'm very happy to be a member with CCI and look
forward to a long and profitable relationship.

Best regards,

revolutionizing International eCommerce as we know it.

Great for individuals or businesses. Transferring funds worldwide to anyone,
those funds are instantly available at over 500,000 ATM's and in any

Internet. Employers can use the Cash Cards for Payroll. Affiliate program
