Re: Dialup Admin with PostgreSQL and NetSNMP support

I sent the tarball to Peter Nixon.

Since I changed all the filename extensions from .php3 to .php, a patch
would be twice as
large, unless I did some trickery. I'll look into it.

Most important is to have php working properly.
apache with php4:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.apache.php

All attributes are well explained in conf/admin.conf

There you might have to change:
general_base_dir: /usr/local/dialup_admin
general_radiusd_base_dir: /usr/local/radiusd
general_test_account_login: test
general_test_account_password: testpass
general_radius_server: localhost [IP-Address_of_RADIUS_server]

sql_check_table: radcheck
sql_reply_table: radreply
sql_user_info_table: userinfo
sql_groupcheck_table: radgroupcheck
sql_groupreply_table: radgroupreply
sql_usergroup_table: usergroup
sql_total_accounting_table: totacct

You'll have to change:
general_radius_server_secret: XX
sql_password: XX

The rest should work by default.
Little more information on what's not working is helpful. Otherwise the
answer will be be: You misconfigured something...

Issue regarding radius logs dialup admin

2003-10-24 Thread m0bius

Greetings,

I have just replaced my old radius server with FreeRadius dialup
admin. The authorization works perfectly and everyone can log in but
however I cant see any statistics about the persons that are logged in.
The Statistics page of the dialup admin returns the correct number of
session but no information regarding the total usage time and the
downloads. The Failed logins page is working as it should. The
accounting page only returns information about failed logins while the
page for each user does not return any statistics apart the failed
connection attempts. (For example It returns that the user has never
logged in even though he is currently online) Same for User Statistics
that return nothing.

The radius.conf contains the following:

I try to create table in dialup_admin/sql

This should not be the case. Have you tested this? Postgres is case

in a SQL query.

Please confirm if you have actually tested this.

Freeradius + Mysql + Dialup Admin problem

2003-06-26 Thread Nickitas
Hello everyone and sorry cause this is gonna be a little bit long ,

I am having a problem making Freeradius , Dialup Admin and Mysql work
correctly .

 I am using Freeradius v 0.8.1 and mysql verion 3.23.49 in a RedHat 7.3
Linux .

I had no problem setting up radius to work authenticating from users
file , and from mysql using a very good tutorial from
http://www.frontios.com/freeradius.html; .

After I installed and start using Dialup Admin I can't get it to work.

The passwords stored in mysql are encrypted in a strange way . For
example using crypt encryption the password stored in the database is
this :$1$JLBPzLpM$hHtpEcBBpJiuzxs7RLr1P0

After learning a little bit about crypt and md5 encryption I can say
that this doesn't look correct to me . I run the following little script
for the same password and using st as salt for the encryption .

 perl -e 'print crypt( asd123, st),\n;'
 stn/LmaCw8SMU

I changed a little bit the ./lib/crypt/crypt.php3 in order to give me
the correct encrypted password but it still doesn't work .

I use the radtest program to check the authentication .
Here is the log I get when running radiusd -X :

 ---RadiusLog--

I think that the problem is in this line :
rlm_sql (sql): Pairs do not match for user [szax]

If however I edit the Value field in radcheck table and replace it with
a plain text password it
works ok .

If anyone understand what is going wrong and could give me a hint , I
would very much
appreciate it cause I am running out of time for this project ...

Thanx in advance .

op type in dialup-admin

I use the == as op type in my radcheck table.
When I'm opening new user account through dialup-admin, it puts by default the
:= op type. And I need manualy correct this in MySQL.

Question: How can I change default op type in dialup-admin to ==?

Thanks in advance!

but also .php3 fiels

About the questions, I put SSL server so I am using dialup_admin with ssl
and you can use any kind of security the apache or your web server

dialup admin

2002-11-05 Thread ajoncas
I'm getting a strange behaviour from the dialup admin code where the
$login value does not get set when I put in the user name and click show
user in the user_admin.php3. Its strange because I can see the value that
I inserted in the field because it shows up in my URL, but in the code
itself the $login value is ''. I am running the page on the Apache 1.3.27
web server and PHP 4.2.3 with the Netscape web browser. Has anyone else
seen this behaviour. I need to get this working so that I can test the
Oracle support that I added. Thanks.

Can you do a show tables in mysql for the radius database? Does it contain all

dialup_admin works fine.

Thanks,
Sheldon

HI to all ...
i repost this message becouse i very need help.

I have installed the dialup_admin package on freeradius 0.5, apache

If for example i query the database for a user that doesn't exist the

Are you using an ldap database or sql?
When you access the other pages (accounting, online users, create user) what do
you get?
Did you create the user through the create user page or manually?
Could you post your admin.conf and a user entry that triggers the problem?

2002-07-03 Thread Marcello Lupo

Hi thank you for the answer, well...

I Use mysql. I have imported the users with a perl script from an old
/etc/shadow System.
I get the same error in every page i have to get some result from the
database.
I'm able to create users with the interface but if i try to get
information of the user created i get the error.
The page of the online users is running, i think becouse it use only the
snmpfinger on the NAS.
The statistic page is working properly.
I have a little more question: How may i have the group to insert the
user in shown in the new user page and let the dialup_admin to insert
the user in the group i specified?

This are my tables:

mysql show tables;
+--+

radacct
radcheck
radgroupcheck
radgroupreply
radreply
usergroup
userinfo
+--+
8 rows in set (0.01 sec)

This is an account that trigger the error, but all the accounts trigger
the problem.

mysql select * from radcheck where username='pipperino';

On dialup admin, adding the following line to htdocs/user_finger.php3
META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT=30
below the head line will make the online users page reload twice a minute,
so I don't need to get reloading the page every time. Hope this interest someone.

Added, thanks.

It will just refresh every 50 secs instead of 30 secs since the page can take a
few seconds to load when fingering a Cisco 5800 :-)

What OS are you using? The crypt function can get very tricky some times.

There is an sql_password_attribute configuration directive in conf/admin.conf.
You could just change that.

Dialup admin

2002-06-10 Thread Alexandre Strube

Hello,

a little question when using dialup admin On conf/admin.conf there's a
line with the encryption method, called
general_encryption_method: crypt

When I change to clear, what I was expecting is that the dialup admin interface could
work with clear text password, stored at radcheck table as attribute password, instead
of crypt-password... Am I wrong? Anyway, if this is the expected behaviour, it's not
happening... Even when I change this on admin.conf file it keeps on working with
crypted-passwords... And I would like to work on this really nice interface with
cleartext
passwords..

Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks in advance,

The page to load fine. I click the Edit Users section on the left frame and

exist.

The accounting page shows my attributes and gives me the selection to choose

display anything (including error messages). When I had enter new user
information on the Add User section, and then hit the enter button the
information disappears and that entry isn't added to the database.

So it takes the column information from the database but doesn't find anything
in the accounting table. That seems strange. If you do a 'SELECT UserName FROM
radacct LIMIT 10' will it give you any results?

Could you send the sql_* config directives from the admin.conf (apart from the
sql password of course).

It doesn't display any active accounts even though I'm currently logged on
right now.

If you do a 'SELECT UserName from radacct WHERE AcctStartTime = '0'' what does
it show when you are loged in? The admin.conf allows you to do a finger to the
nas (that only works for cisco access servers currently) or just use the
information provided from the accounting database. Which of the two have you
enabled?

Dialup Admin question

2002-06-03 Thread Deramus, Chris

I know this service is mainly for Free Radius questions but
I figured since this product was written for FreeRadius
that someone on here has had experience using it.

I have FreeRadius successfully
working with MySQL for Authorization and PAP for
authentication. The system works great and I'm very happy. I'm now
trying to bring a web front online for added administration convenience. I have
Dialup Admin installed and it seems to be working fine, however it's not
pulling any information from the MySQL database and
tables. I've looked over the admin.conf file
many a times and short of the basic configuration changes are there any major
changes that any of you had to make before this would begin to work.

Dialup-Admin

2002-04-02 Thread Jason M. Weber

When Apache was initially set up during the Caldera OpenLinux installation
the default php extension was set to just php rather than php3. So I
renamed all of the dialup-admin files to have a php extension and I edited
them all replacing php3 with php. Everything appears to be working for the
most part; radiusd, MySQL, and Apache are all running. But when I try to use
the Dialup_Admin I ran into some problems:

When I click on:

Accounting: cannot connect to sql databse
Problem line appears to be $link = da_sql_pconnect($config) or die...
Obviously the script is unable to open a persistent connection to the
MySQL db. Any ideas?

Edit User: Could not connect to database.
New User: Could not connect to database.
Check Server: Could not connect to database.

I have changed the sql_username and sql_password in admin.conf. Can MySQL
usernames have an underscore in them? The MySQL user that I set up for
radius was dialup_admin, could this be the problem? Clearly I'm missing
something big (not unusual).

Are these problems related to my tinkering around with the file extensions?

Thanks much.

general_radiusd_base_dir should contain the base directory of the freeradius

make the radclient path look like this:
/usr/sbin/radiusd/bin/radclient which does not seem correct. Only if
dialup_admin can access radclient can the 'check server' and 'test user' pages
work properly.

2. Edit users on the left side menu doesn't retrieve userinfo, when the
input box is filled the username. One has to enter the user name again in
the main window then click on show user, before the userinfo comes out

Just put the username in the input box and press enter. :-)

dialup-admin ... error in delete_user.php3, line 18

2002-03-09 Thread Peter Santiago

code fragment reads
if ($res){
 if ($config[sql_use_user_info_table] == 'true'){
$res = da_sql_query($config[sql_database], - error.. this
will return false
 DELETE FROM $config[sql_user_info_table] WHERE UserName
= '$login';);
if ($res)
echo bUser $login deleted
successfully/bbr\n;
else
echo bError deleting user $login from user
info table/bbr\n;
}

Isn't that line supposed to read

$res = da_sql_query($link,$config, DELETE FROM
$config[sql_user_info_table] WHERE UserName = '$login';);

???
