Re: [H] Linksys routers

2009-02-14 Thread Harvey Best

I have the WRT160N. Its my first Linksys as I always used Netgear. I have been
less than pleased with the Linksys. Lots of stutters and delays, tech support
has been less than helpful.

Unit puts out a TREMENDOUS amount of heat.

I personally am going back to Netgear.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck

The Sony Harmony is sweet if you can stand the price. I have one and it stopped
the wife from calling me on how to change inputs and it got all the remotes off
the coffee table. Something she really like.

Maybe use those arguments? :)

Re: [H] access point

Will I need a cross over cable for that?

I am not a network guy either and I don't really want to run any more cable.

Where I need this new connection I have a network cable run through the wall.
If I don't need a crossover cable I could put the switch on that one. But I
have a feeling I will need a crossover.

[H] access point

2008-11-18 Thread Harvey Best

Have a Linksys Wireless Router WRT 310 it has 4 wired ports. I use the wireless
part for my laptop and the 2 DVR are wireless.

I have my wireless printer hooked up with a network cable as when I connect
wireless it keeps dropping connection and I have to reinstall over and over. I
have 1 DVR wired in and my wife's work computer is wired. My network HDD that
I use to back every thing up has the other port.

So, all my ports are full. Just got a new Sony Blu Ray player. To use the BD
Live features I need to put it on the network.

So, whats my best option in a Linksys access point? I assume that would be the
way to go. As I don't feel that the BD Live features are going to be a big deal
for me, I think hooking it up wireless seems to be the way to go.

So, if you have some ideas and a way I can do it inexpensively it would be
appreciated.

Re: [H] PS3 or Xbox360

2008-10-20 Thread Harvey Best
I'm getting a ready to get one for myself and have been doing a lot of research.

XBox

Largest selection of games.

Red ring of death. covered by MS but you lose the unit for a few weeks while
you are getting a refurb. If you google red ring and xbox you will see a lot
about it.
You are giving more money to Bill Gates. :)
Pay for network play.

PS3

Built in Blu Ray. (Could not find a solid answer on when Xbox will have wither
internal or a add on unit)

Does not have a huge line up of games. (don't get me wrong it has them just not
as large as Xbox)
Online game play is free in their network.

Hope I got that right and I am sure there are some big game players that can
give you a lot more info than me. Just thought it was funny I have been asking
the same questions!

Wii is looking more and more intriguing though.

[H] Windows 98 Se and USB Printer problem

2008-10-08 Thread Harvey Best
I have a friend going through a divorce. He needed a computer and I had an old
W98 SE box that was sitting in a closet I gave him to use till he gets stuff
straigtened out. He bought a little cheap HP USB printer. Well when I hooked it
up and out in the HP disk there is no W98 drivers. (Should have thought of
that) No drivers are availible at HP's site.

The rub is I can't use the W98 generic drivers as when I do, it still doesn't
"see" the printer. Though sometimes, not all the time, I get a message "unknown
usb device" message.

Is there a work around? I will be him a USB to LPT 1 adapter if such a thing
exists.

I am not sure if this system was upgraded from W95 as I seem to remember that
being a cause of some USB problems back in the early days of USB.

I guess I could upgrade it to XP but that will really be a strain on that old
box.

Any help appreciated.

We went through hurricane Isabel here in Central VA a few years back. We lost

[H] weird email problem

2008-09-06 Thread Harvey Best
Hey Gang,

An having a weird email problem. Every few days I get 40-500 bounced emails in
my mail folders. AS best I can tell they have been sent by my system and then
bounce back. The writing in the emails is Russian I believe. My virus checker
shows no problems. (Norton and yes its signatures are up to date) Spybot
doesn't show any thing.

I can go several days to several weeks with this not happening ad then bang, I
have 400 to 500 of them.

Some of the emails show a file attached.

How can I track this down and stop it? Best I can tell its originating from my
system

Any help appreciated.

[H] OT Inclined planes

2008-07-13 Thread Harvey Best
As a distraction form my network backup problems, a friend called me and asked
this question. I am using google now to see if I can find the formula.

Here is his question:This is about Inclined Planes.

How long does a ramp have to be to raise a plane 8 degrees
from horizontal to a hight of one foot...

Also would like the length
to a hight of 3 feet, at the same degree of incline, if you can do it...

Any help with formula and answer greatly appreciated.

Why do I get myself in these situations. lol

2008-07-12 Thread Harvey Best
Ok, I am going to try some of these suggestions. The problem with Ghost was
even when I gave it the administrator pw it would not take it. It would then
say some thing to the effect of, can't have 2 people logged in at the same
time, even though I was the only one "logged" in. Weird. Though I did see some
people having the same problems that I am having.

Will let you all know.

PS While I know how to use PKZip, writing a batch file is beyond me. lol

[H] automated back up software

2008-07-12 Thread Harvey Best
I had posted this before but didn't get any responses. I have a networked
external hdd. Myworldbook, 1 TB.

I can see the drive and backup to or from it. But I want a good program to do
that automatically. The Mionet that came with it is horrible.

I tried the trial version of Norton Ghost but can't get it to see the hdd. It
keeps asking for a pw, I have tried all I know that would be related to the
network, but no go.

Any suggestions?

I want my laptop backed up each day as I do all my work and billing on it. It
would be a big plus if it would back up the entire laptop systems and all so if
could be a total restore from the network drive or am I asking to much?

Any help appreciated.

[H] backup software

2008-06-15 Thread Harvey Best
Just broke down and bought the MyWorld 1 TB external harddrive. This is tne one
that is networkable.

Have 2 issues.

1. My router Linksys 310N seems to handle it ok, but the status light on the
router glows yellow instead of the normal electric blue. I can read and write
to the drive and I see it on the network. Just wondering what that might be. I
haven't researched on Linksys web site yet, but thought I would throw it up
here for ideas first.

2. The back up software (Mionet) that come with it is HORRIBLE! What I want is
a program that would be able to look at the 2 desktops and 1 laptop that are on
the network, and back them up in an easy to reinstall (after a major crash) all
files that are needed to bring the system back. Also, would like it to look at
the systems each day and update its own back up.

Any suggestions? If its freeware that is great, but I am willing to pay for a
package that will do what I need.

Any suggestions on the 2 issues appreciated/

[H] another recommendation

2008-04-17 Thread Harvey Best
Hi all,

Need to build 2 systems.

1. Strictly business. Don't need fancy graphics, or sound, so onboard
video/sound is fine. (I will up the RAM) Dual HDD that are Raid Mirrors are
needed.

2. System 2 can be almost like the one above, but needs a better video card. My
wife is a Medical Transcriptionist. This will be her work system and her
"playing with digital pics" system. I want dual hdd, and a raid mirror on this
as well. I have a Raptor SATA drive that I am going to put in along with
another Raptor of same size. Speed is important to her as she is paid on
production.

Both systems will be using 19 inch basic flat screen monitors. Both systems
will be running XP. System 2 will be XP Pro. (Hospital requirement) and a
medical version of Word. Speed is important here, but nothing that has to be
ripping fast. (also, as the hospital upgrades she needs to be at least close,
so at least dual core if not quad if I can swing it)

1st system will be running XP home. So XP drivers for both systems will be
important.

Both systems will be on networks. System 1 wireless and system 2 wired.

I have looked on Tiger and Geeks and haven't quite seen what I need. Budget is
800 for system 1, though I can go to 1k if needed. About 1000 - 1400 for system
2.

Any and all help appreciated.

BTW, I have the legit copies of XP so that doesn't have to be part of the
expense. And, I can put my own systems together, so individual components, if a
better deal, is not a problem.

Thanks all,

Harvey

Its a Toshiba Satellite PSM40V-07001.

The shop was saying 500 for part and 250-300 install.

Kinda seems a waste as 800 puts me two thirds of the way to a new one.

Have an Asus K8V-SE motherboard with a bad AMD chip. Also have a system with a
socket a 1 gig Athlon chip. Model 1131

Will the Socket A work in the Socket 754 Asus board? I am fairly sure it won't
and am researching now, but the answer here will probably be quicker than my
research! :)

Thanks, Harvey

Re: [H] MMORPGs

2007-12-12 Thread Harvey Best
Well, really not the same type of game but Conquer Club is a great online
version of the board game Risk. I am totally addicted to it. Though, my 2
brothers and I played it a lot as a kids. My youngest brother is dead now and
some of my favorite memories are of camping and playing risk by a lantern.

Tribal Wars is a great game. I got high in the rankings etc. but it got to be
like work! :) Had to log in to make weapons, grow your village, defend,
attack, take care of your alliance matters. I was so wrapped up in it I had the
wife bring the laptop to a hospital so I could make moves while having
treatment for an internal bleed.

Battle Dawn is not to bad. Kinda like Tribal Wars but future/space based where
as Tribal Wars was medieval.

Hope that helps to waste some more of your time! lol

Good luck.

RE: [H] wify printer ?

2007-10-30 Thread Harvey Best
Duncan,

That makes sense. I kinda had the same line of thought, though I could not put
it that plainly. After a while, even with the laptop on sometimes the printer
would not come back online. When that happens, only a complete re-install
brings the printer back online. HP realizes some of the problem, as I searched
their web site and saw some questions about the same type problem. ALas, there
was very little suggestions for correcting it.

Oh well, as long as I don't move the router, I will be ok. lol

Harvey,

Don't think using a PC would have helped. Think what may have
happened was that somehow the laptop (PC) got coded as the printer's
"print server." So that any print jobs had to be routed
thru the laptop(PC) for processing prior to actually being printed
(perhaps during a driver load during the initial install). This
happened to me several times with my Brother CAT5e LAN printer.

Many de-install/install sessions later I finally got the printer to sit
by itself on the LAN without one of my PC's 'strapped' to it as a print
server. I am getting very printer-shy now. They can be real animals
to deal with on a LAN.

My LAN is not WIFY, so all this may not even apply. WIFY I know
next to zero about. Eek, machines on steroids with radio
transmitters... :) Just standard TCP/IP and ethernet on cable
is about all I can handle; and often badly at that! LOL!

Best,

Duncan

I installed my WiFi printer (HP All in One) with a wireless Netgear
router, using my laptop as the install vehicle. The problem was if the
laptop was not "on" the other computers on the network could
not communicate with the printer. The printer would show as off line. I
solved this problem, by hooking the printer to the router with a cat 5
cable and then the network didn't "lose" the printer. I was
never really sure what was causing the problem, and the router was right
at the printer so using the cable was not an issue.

RE: [H] wify printer ?

One issue I had, and it might have been some thing I messed up. I installed my

computers on the network could not communicate with the printer. The printer

I bought the WiFi printer as I planned to put it in a different location than
it ended up. Again, never really sure if it was a "problem" or something I did
wrong in install or setup.

Hope that helps, but I doubt it. lol

MY network is a wireless laptop and desktop and 2 wired desktops. WiFi printer

I use Verizon DSL and the modem they supplied was a Westell. (Don't have time
at the moment to check model number) It has seemed a solid modem. Only twice in
more that 3 years have I needed to unplug it and reboot it. I have used it with
3 different models of Netgear routers. (2 wired and one wired/wireless).

May be comparing apples to oranges, but just putting my 2 cents in.

RE: [H] OT Time to rant about finance programs

2007-03-10 Thread Harvey Best
Brian, My mom is a retired CPA and she still does a little work on the side. I
remember her saying at a conference she went to, what a terror Quicken was/is.
She said most of the people like Quick Books, but not Quicken which is the
personal version of the software. Would Quick Books do what you need? There are
3 versions. Top version does all the rest and cost accounting, which if you
bill for your time comes in handy. The middle version can run most small to
medium businesses, and I don't remember about the lowest version what the
difference was.At one time, 4-5 years ago, we were having to use a file
converter someone wrote to get some of the Quick files we were using to be able
to be entered back in to the older software. Do not remember the name, but
found it in a Quickbooks discussion group after much Googling. Peach Tree
accounting makes a nice software package, there may be a converter for Quicken
in it, its some thing you might check out.Harvey> Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2007

RE: [H] OT Networking question somewhat different

2006-12-30 Thread Harvey Best
Okay, more info, (The Web page of the ISP does not have any info, tried that
the first time, and calls going unreturned, assuming holiday delays).

There is no modem. Just a line from the antenna that is networked size and
plugs into the network card of the computer. I took that cable and plugged into
the router as if coming from a modem. But it goes un-recognized.

I am searching now for a wireless ISP site that might give me the info I need.

If I am understanding what you suggested, would be to plug the modem, (again
there is just a network cable coming from the outside antenna) into a regular
jack on the router, and let the other 2 systems connect wirelessly? Router
acting as switch. Then use ICS for the 3 to share Internet access?

I will give it a try tomorrow and see what happens.

Thanks, Harvey

[H] OT Networking question somewhat different

2006-12-30 Thread Harvey Best
Hi,

Friend of mine in an area with dial up only, just got a wireless (high speed)
Internet connection. There is an area antenna and at his house there is a small
antenna aimed at the community antenna. From the house antenna there is a
network cable that runs to the network card on his desktop computer. He wants
to network so he can use his laptop and another desktop in the house. I got him
a Linksys router and a USB network card for his other desktop.

Problem -- when I hook up the router and start in to setup, it hits a "wall" in
the setup and says it doesn't recognize the modem. Now, I know routers are
designed for cable/dsl modems and for high speed Internet connections. Has
anybody tried or done a hookup like this? Since it is sending it the info by a
network line and is plugged in to a network card, I assumed that the router
would treat it as another high speed connection.

Any pointers or ideas on this? We have a call in to the ISP that uses these to
see if there are special instructions. The TOS doesn't limit you to the one
system only, it allows for other hookups as long as they are in the same
physical house. Going up there for New Years, and hoping to knock this out.
Have not got a call back from tech support as of yet, assuming holidays are
slowing everything down, and it is a small local ISP.

Thanks, Harvey

RE: [H] Senior Safety Monitor

2006-12-04 Thread Harvey Best
My grandmother was the same way. We found her by the bed after about 6 hours. I
had just had gastric bypass (The full cut) and could not lift her. My wife was
3 weeks away from disk surgery! My grandmother had multiple mylomea
anyway, her bones were like hollow match sticks, she broke ribs coughing. So,we
still had to call the squad, and we helped the 2 guys get her back in bed. And
she was not a big woman either, just so brittle you had to be really careful.
She's passed on now, to a much better place, and out of all that suffering.

Oh well, just thought I throw my story in. Seniors really need these types of
devices, IMHO.

[H] Secure "tunnel" software for Hotspots

2006-09-30 Thread Harvey Best

I know there has been some discussion about securing browsing from "hotspots". Using IE, I know, I know, what would be the most secure, with pretty basic ease of use etc. We do like to do some online banking on the road, but its not a life or death thing. As a pastor, I have some emails to parishioners that really, actually by law now, supposed to be kept reasonably secure. (At least be able to show you tried, I know nothing is ever completely secure)

What would be the suggestions? This would be for my laptop, I do use full version Zone Alarm, I also use Network Magic. When I logon to a network not my own, it "protects" the shared files that I have listed as shared on the laptop for use at home. I also use Norton Anti-Virus, and I do truly keep all updated, including XP Home security updates and patches.

Any help appreciated.

Harvey  hbest

2 PS's one related to above problem

1. I do have XP Pro I could install, would that give me any security advantage over XP Home?

2. (Non related) Several months ago I mentioned on the list my brother committing suicide and needing to transfer some tapes to a cd, I "talked" to someone in Las Vegas I believe that offered to help. [H] Weird Mouse Problem

2006-09-25 Thread Harvey Best

On my home desktop. Windows Xp Pro everything updated just suddenly started acting asif the mouse had gone bad. When you open a window, any window, the pointer just goes wild. You can click outside of the window and the random spastic movement stops, but as soon as the pointer is moved over the window again, the spastic movement starts again. So, I replaced the mouse, but it made no difference.

I am assuming its a driver problem? Also assuming I will need to boot up in safe mode to try and make changes or replace, because as it is now I can't make a change as I cannot control the mouse when I go to the mouse properties windows.

Any ideas, points in a semi-right direction? I am heading out of town early in the AM, so I may not be able to reply or try any solutions offered until late Friday night or Saturday, so you may not see an immediate reply, but any help appreciated.

[H] Tape situation already taken care of by another great lsit member

2006-06-27 Thread Harvey Best

Hi all,

A list member that has the connections to have the cd made of the cassettes has already contacted me off list to help me out. Since they replied off list, I won't list the name here, as they may want to remain anonymous. But, later, if they are ok with it, I will list the name so we can all thank them. But even if they don't want their name given, just know, there are some unreal, helpful, caring, add your adjective here!!, people on this list!

Thanks again to all.

[H] OT Very off topic but I need some help

2006-06-27 Thread Harvey Best

Hi gang,

As I posted the other week, my brother took his own life a week ago Thursday. (I was replying to some help I 'd gotten, but letting the Alt-Cpu member know I couldn't try the fix/idea suggestion until later because of all the arrangements).

Now I have a BIG favor to ask, that some one on this list could probably help me with. And I would gladly pay what it costs if I can afford it.

The church taped the funeral service. My father (deceased) was a Pastor, I am a pastor. There were a lot of preachers that spoke, and I was even able to speak at the service as well. As I said, we all (family) have cassette copies of the service. I have no cassette player of any type any more, and neither does my sister in law.

The question, does anyone on the list have the capability to transfer the 2 cassettes on to a cd? I could then make my own copies for all the family.

Of course, I would pay for the shipping both ways, cost of the cd and time used, if it's something I can afford. I know there is so much tech knowledge of all this list, and caring people who try to help each other.

So, I thought I would ask. If someone can help you can reply to the list, and then we can go "off list" to discuss the particulars.

Thanks, Harvey

As far as I know, Windows Live Mail is an open BETA test. A bunch of Hotmail users were asked to try it. I looked at my agreement, and I saw nothing about not discussing a problem any other place. So, I believe it was ok to list it.  If not, I apologize.

In the AutoComplete Settings dialog box, click Clear Forms, and then click OK. 30. Click Clear Passwords, and then click OK. 31. Click OK to close the AutoComplete Settings window. 32. Click OK to close Internet Options. Make sense? Is there an easier way??? I use XP all patches. I use Norton AV, Zone Alarm Pro always updated. I haven't seen any talk of a virus etc. on "the List". But, with the death of my brother a week ago Thursday I might have missed it.
Any and all ideas appreciated. I haven't gone through M$ set of instructions yet. But I need to get rid of that email. But any click on it. Complete Email crash down to Xp's desktop.

Well, went to the site listed. It verified that my Xp was indeed valid. (Which I already knew). But after a reboot, Windows Update still shows it as a failed install. So, I guess, I will have to wait and see if it starts blocking me from some updates or patches. So far its not nagging me about it, but I bet it will eventually.

Thanks, Harvey

RE: Re: [H] MS releases 8 new critical updates for XP SP2

2006-06-14 Thread Harvey Best

I have been reading the List about the WGA. When I booted up this AM, got the notification of 9 updates. One wsa the WGA "tool". Now the intersting part, the WGA keeps failing on install. I have purposely tried 3 times to install and it keeps failing. While I am glad it's not installed (so I won't have to go to the trouble of uninstalling it), I am wondering what is keeping if from installing. Running XP Home, with Zone Alarm Pro.It makes it even more interesting that MS is so keen on having it installed, but something (good or bad) is keeping it from installing. I clicked on MS help about it (the X next to the install failure) but nothing comes up.

Just wondering, any ideas?

RE: Re: [H] Windows Validation tool

2006-06-12 Thread Harvey Best

That's funny. I have had both experiences. The good and bad. (Waiting on the Ugly) When my daughters chip went bad, I sent it back to AMD under warranty. She couldn't wait for her system back, so I bought a new chip and did a wipe of the hdd and a clean install of XP Home. Here is where it gets messy, and as far as I can tell was doing nothing illegal. I had a Win XP Home store bought disk, cd, coa etc. I had used it on my home system, until after a hdd crash. When I rebuilt and upgraded that system purchased XP Pro, same as before pretty box, cd, coa receipt and everything.

So, after rebuilding my system, I now had a XP Home not being used. When I rebuilt her's I used the XP Home I had. So, I had to call MS and go through a personal interview with a man whose accent was so thick I could not understand him. I explained over and over what I was doing. "It had been on one system, now was not, and was going on a different system, not operating at the same time etc.) Finally I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he gave me the number. I already dread the day I have to do that again.

Helped a friend on a reinstall one time. Called in, got the automated one, answered the questions and all was as slick as grease. So, as I said, I've gotten both worlds of it. Luck of the draw? Karma? Who knows!

[H] OT Windows Vista - SCSI HDD Help

2006-06-03 Thread Harvey Best

Ditto on the great link about Vista. I was just talking to a friend about it. And we figured we would obey the old rule someone made up about MS Windows. Skip every other version. I want to say that I probably read the on this List years ago.

On another topic, and body here a SCSI HDD expert? When i re installed this hdd I am getting asked if I want to repair errors. So, I let it go, but I have to hit a key for each error.  Its a Cheeta 18XL. Does anyone have an idea how many hours/days I am going to keep hitting that key? There is not life or death data, pics, email, etc. But there are a few things I would like to get off of it.

I debated getting a HDD recovery program, but the best rated one I can find is about 80 bucks.

With the collar bone being broken and not able to work, 80 dollars is just not feasible.

Any ideas/suggestions? System is running XP Pro, system boots off a Raptor SATA HDD. Have SCSI CD-R burner, SCSI CD-Rom, and a DVD-Burner.

System runs great, its just that HDD.

The errors are happening at startup, SCSI level. When system boots, it does not see that drive.

Again, any help/suggestions apprciated.

2006-05-30 Thread Harvey Best

I was surprised to find that a system this old would let me use a bootable cd-rom, but it did and I am now installing. It wanted to install to c:\windows.000 but I didn't let it do that, I just changed it to c:\windows. If that was wrong, then I guess it was a sign that I just needed to go ahead and wipe the hdd and do a clean install of 98.

I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Thanks again,

Harvey

Ok, deleted, tried the install and it still detects Windows and will not let me "upgrade". So, I shut down, rebooted and Windows won't come up as Win.com is missing. Do I need to boot with a floppy so that I can access the cd to do the install?

2006-05-30 Thread Harvey Best

I found this (listed below). Would it get me to 98, or would Windows keep "seeing" the old Windows and tell me I need an upgrade package instead of a full install package?

How to do it :
Windows ME/98/95
You boot up with a Windows ME/98/95 boot disk into MSDOS mode and type the following command from the A:\ prompt  "DELTREE C:\WINDOWS". It will take several minutes for this to work but once finished just restart the computer and install windows.
Windows XP
You install Windows in the same directory as it was originally installed without formatting the drive

I know, you are already scratching your head wondering if I am insane. Am doing a little job for a friend of mine. He has an old Packard Bell (I know, I know), an Intel (ditto, ditto) 233, and only 24 megs of ram. He has a body shop. To mix the paints he needs for all the different makes, models, colors, etc. his paint supplier gave him a cd that prints out the formula he needs to mix. The program on the cd needs to run on at least Win 98, or up OS. I have 7 cd's of W98. All legal, all with their COA's etc. The problem, they are all OEM/full versions, I have no upgrade cd.

I know I could wipe the system and just do a clean install, but with it being a P Bell, I am afraid of being able to find the drivers I will need to re-install. And, I'm lazy. :) All this system is going to do, is sit in a shop and spit out a numerical paint formula, I don't need any bells or whistles. Is there any way I can "trick" the Win 98 full version so that I do an upgrade from the Win 95 (also legal version) to 98?

I'm headed over to Google to do a little searching, but I know there is a tremendous amount of knowledge on this board, so I thought I would throw it out there.

Any and all help, suggestions, etc. appreciated.

This was the statement that kinda bothered me, "These days you have war drivers all over > doing shady things because WAP's & tools a common". If it had had a quantifier of "some" Wardrivers doing shady things I don't think it would have bothered me.  In all honesty I wish I understod WAP, WEP, WPA-PSK, etc. all I know is on my wireless router I am using WPA-PSK with a 32 letter password that I let my son make up and then my wife and I wrote it down 3 times so we could get it right. :) If someone cracks it, they may be able to get my 32.00 bucks in the bank! I do know what you mean by unprotected networks though. At my wife Neurosurgeon (she was having back surgery) I turned on the computer and was amazed to see the Neuro office come up (they used their exact name) and there was not a bit of encryption. Anyone could have walked right in. It's amazing, especially with all the new HIPA privacy laws that went into effect last year or so. Take care.

True "Wardrivers" are not doing shady things. I Wardrive as I do a lot of traveling and it's interesting. Something to do. I fix my system so that it can't connect as I Wardrive, and thats what true "Wardrivers" do. Shady people will do shady things. They don't have to be Wardriving to be shady. I have a gun to hunt with, but that doesn't make me an armed driver as I have a tool that can be used rightly or wrongly. Just my two cents. Back to watching the world go by. Oh, by the way, one of the funniest SSID names I have ever seen was in the Northern Nech area of Virginia. It was "The Barn, thats right the Barn"! That's why I "Wardrive". Recloaking.
