Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac
While we’re on the topic of radium, has anyone figured out what the popup grid in the favorite station block does? When interacting with a favorite station, there is an unlabeled button at the top left that, when pressed, brings a popup grid of a dozen or so unlabelled buttons. I just emailed catpigstudios support about this as well as asking them to label the favorite stations list button, along with a degree of praise and thanks for their efforts. (don’t forget the thanks and praise when you ask for help from these people - they like it!) I do not know the site in question but when this happens to me it is normally because there is a check box which needs to be checked which either Voiceover is not picking up or which I have missed. Another option is to try hitting VO Command F5 and then trying shift VO Space to perform a virtual mouse click on the button. Re: No sound from built-in speakers.
Is it muted? If you have an Apple keyboard, and accidentally hit F10, your speakers will be muted. Remember that headphone volume is different, so even though the internal speaker is muted, the headphone volume is not. That is, checking sound settings with headphones in will not report the settings for when headphones are removed. All that to say, try pressing f10 (or function-f10, depending on your settings) with headphones unplugged and see what happens. 2 VM Fusion questions
Hi. I have two VM Fusion questions. First, I have printer set to share, but my VM machine will only print after I have printed at least once from the Mac side. Is there a fis for this? Second, whenever I toggle away and back into Fusion, my window has reverted to the VM Library. I have to go to Window, cursor down, then click my mahine hname. Is there some way to make this go quicker, perhaps a shortcut key? Thanks. Bill -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. multiple recipients problem in mail
Hi all, I have not used mac and mail much since Yosemite and can no longer send mail to multiple recipients chosen from contacts. I tried searching the archive but could not find anything so I’m sorry if this has already been addressed but very grateful for your help. I went to bcc and pressed the “add contacts” found the group of contacts I was interested in and water to go through them and select some to add to the bcc field. Multiple selection contiguous or not did not give any vo feedback and even after just highlighting one contact, I found no way to actually add this to the bcc field. Am I missing something? Call apple accessibility and the adviser was also stumped and said he’d get back to me this afternoon Very frustrating since I need rather urgently to send out multiple mailings. Re: Another family sharing question
Hi, Regarding iTunes Match and Family sharing, the license terms at this time do not allow for Family Sharing of non-iTunes purchased content. so, those items uploaded using iTunes Match that were are not accessible to other family members using the Family Sharing service. The only way, at this point in time, is to use the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store stuff, and a separate Apple ID for iCloud related stuff if you want access to iTunes Match content. Later... Re: multiple recipients problem in mail
Hi, If these recipients are already in your Contacts, then simply type the first few letters of their first or last name and let Mail do the rest. So, for example, if I was wanting to send a message to Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble, I’d do the following: • navigate to the appropriate addressing field in the new mail message. • start typing “Fred F” and let Mail complete the name for me. • if it chooses the right name and eMail address, then just press return and start the next individual. • If it does not automatically choose the correct name or eMail address, there could be multiple addresses available. In this case just arrow up/down through them then press return and go on to the next recipient. • You may also need to enter a few extra letters if there are many with similar spellings. • once they’ve all been added, you can move on to the message content and such, then send away. Re: multiple recipients problem in mail
Hi, What I’d do then is go directly into my Contacts app, sift through the recipients from within there. So, interacting with the table of contacts, navigate from the top down. When you get to the first contact you wish to eMail, press VO-cmd-return, then press it again as the first time deselects in this case. From now on, you only need to press VO-cmd-return once when you wish to select a contact. Thus, navigate down and press VO-cmd-return once on each of the remaining people you wish the message sent to. Once they are all selected, press VO-m to go up to the menubar, over to the File menu, down to “New Group from Selection” then type a name for the group. Use this name in Mail when sending to that subset of contacts. You can delete the group after if you wish since this sounds like a temporary solution for you. HTH. Later... Numbers question
I have a multi-sheet document I am working on. I have selected one of the sheets in the sheet tab. When I go to the Table tab to see the actual sheet, it tells me there are 166 rows. However, when I interact with the sheet, it only shows me 66 of them. Any thoughts on showing the other hundred or so rows? Hi Amber. Ok, since I am constantly pushing things and breaking Apple programs these days like I used to break JAWS for Windows, I’ll make a copy of one of my files. then I will add another sheet to see what happens. Re: Numbers question
Hi Amber. I could not reproduce the problem you asked about. My computer behaved well on this, but now this brings up a question, although I may decide to stick with the way I have been doing things. Does anybody know whether you can set up separate sheets and then set up another to add up the totals of those sheets. Since I can’t find an accessible payroll program yet, I have been using Numbers to keep up with my employee’s pay. Because of the way I figure her pay, some months have long files and then total up for each month. this means that when December comes, I would need to go into each file and add up the total, especially if I decide to fire my payroll company. Me and them have been fighting an accessibility fight. Their computer support supervisor dummy keeps insisting that correcting their website so that VoiceOver won’t skip the place to enter pay is a breech of security. I downloaded QuickBooks for the Mac, and immediately uninstalled it because I couldn’t even get started with it with VoiceOver. Besides, it does more than I really want anyway. If I fire the payroll company, I think I will just PDF Pen Pro to fill out federal forms, and the state has nicely accessible forms. Re: Numbers question
Hi again Amber I did another experiment on a file copy. It didn’t make a difference on my computer, but you might check it out on yours. Here’s what I was thinking, and maybe this will help. Sometimes screen readers don’t work right if the view is messed up. I used to have this problem sometimes with JAWS and Word if a sighted person gave me a file that was set at a different zoom level. I used to have to change it, and sometimes it made it hard to read a file that was given to me. I have a file that is set to 125% zoom. I tried changing that on my computer, and that didn’t make a difference on my file. I also messed with the font size thinking VoiceOver might not accept one too ridiculous. It did accept a ridiculous font size and perfectly happy to talk anyway. I suggest you take a look at the view options in your file. I guess I can’t think of anything else, so someone else I guess will need to step in and give you some more ideas. No sound from built-in speakers.
Hi! I think someone had this problem a while back but i can’t remember the sollution. All of a sudden audio has disappeared from the internal speakers. I don’teven have the startup sound when starting my mac. Connecting headphones gets audio through the headphones but evrytime i unplug them audio stops working. This is no big deal for me but its a bit annoying to have to use headphones evrytime using my mac. This is a mac mini mid 2011. Ofcourse i have been trying plugging and unplugging headphones and also checked whether my audio is set to 0 but its not. I will dig through this really but if someone has ideas i’d appreaciate them. Thanks in advance. /A -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac
Hi! Wow thanks. Will have to try this later. /A 8 mar 2015 kl. 05:06 skrev Deb Lewis deblewi...@gmail.com: There is an unlabeled button after the search box. button click being ignored
This morning, I attempted to set up an account at Best buy. When I finished the account creation process, I clicked on the continue button. However, this button press was ignored I was unable to finish the process. Is there a trick to this?
