So, if anybody out there has an iPod they are thinking of selling that
is at least thirty gb, please let me know. A video, classic, or touch
is fine and I don't mind if it is a bit scratched up etc as long as
the hard drive and battery are good to go.

Hey everybody. I'm still selling my mac book pro which I purchased new
in early 2014. Shoot me a message off list if interested. The buyer
will also receive a free external 250gb bus powered hard drive that
you could use as a time machine backup drive if you wish...

Specs include aluminum unibody construction, 15.4 inch retina display,
magic glass trackpad that works with voiceover, 2.0gHz quad core I7
processor with turbo boost, eight gigs of ddr3 ram, 256gb solid state
hard drive, Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 ports, yFI, bluetooth etc.
Includes charger and will come with a clean install of OSX. You can
use firewire and ethernet devices via the thunderbolt ports with a
simple and cheap adapter. I've done this with no issues.

OSX runs great on this machine as does windows seven ultimate 64 bit.
I have yet to really push this machine and that is while doing
music/audio work employing various virtual instruments, sample
playback, and effects plug ins etc...

 Thanks,

 Cameron.

Regarding used or refurbished Macs, go to the Sore from Apple's web-site,
then do a Link Chooser or Item Chooser for the word refurbish and you'll
get a link to Apple refurbished units. These are often mostly new machines
but were returned due to warranty issues etc. They have been refurbished
with new Apple parts but, since they are considered Used, cannot be sold
as new. You can often get some fairly good deals this way and they are

Re: installing windows on a mac questions

2015-06-05 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. Speaking of windows on the mac, I need to reinstall windows seven
ultimate 64 bit on a newly created bootcamp partition.

How did you get around having no speech during the first part of the
process where you had to select the default partition and format it to
ntfs before continueing?

the unattended xlm file route doesn't work for seven for me as it
totally erased my drive by default. That option worked great for
installing win xp via bootcamp but I take it that is no longer an
option for windows seven or later?

Thanks,

Cameron.

Shoot me an e mail off list if you're interested. The drivers are rock
solid on both mac and windows 64 bit and although the unit has a ton
of features, it is only a single rack space in size. The preamps are
really clean and quiet and have a lot of headroom. They beat preamps
on m audio and tascam interfaces hands down!

Thanks,

Cameron.

FS:mint condition 16gb Apple iPad mini with two high end cases...

2015-01-11 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everybody. Please write me off list to make an offer...

I'm selling my mint condition 16gb Apple iPad mini which will include
two high end cases, lightning cable, charging cube, and original box.

The iPad has no wear and no issues and has always been kept in a case.
The battery seems to last forever! I will do a factory reset and fresh
install of iOS 8 before shipping... The two cases I am including are
two genuine lifeproof cases. One has a built in screen protector and
the other does not. They are both in mint condition and are both
waterproof and dustproof etc. The two cases alone were over $150!
(They were the Nuud and the Fre.)

Drop me a message to make an offer. Pay pal is preferred. I always
ship with tracking and full insurance.

Thanks,

Cameron.

Re: Audio restoration of old cassettes

Hi. Normalizing audio will not help with hiss, pops, or clicks etc.

I could edit the beginning and endings of your audio files and also

 Greetings to all of you,

I have a large cassette library of recordings that I started making in the
early 70s, and I want to digitize them. I have already transferred many of
them to .wav files but for storage constraints, I already have converted
many of them, hiss, crackles and all, to MP3.

None of these cassettes was recorded in stereo; I didn't even own a stereo
 microphone at the time.

I recently purchased Amadeus Pro, and it has a built-in plug-in for dealing
with cassettes. However, I think I am screwing up on the normalization
process and what levels to set volume, etc. It is obvious that I am an
amateur at this. What I want to do is remove the hiss, as well as the loud
volume that occurs for about 1/10 second after a pause in the audio. Can
this be accomplished with Amadeus Pro as is, or do I need to buy something
else? One very helpful person who occasionally posts to this list,
recommended a program called RS, but he seemed to lament the company's plans
for future versions, where accessibility is concerned. If Amadeus Pro will
do what I need, then I suspect that I wouldn't need RS.

If anyone can give me the best parameters for working with Amadeus Pro or
thoughts using a different approach or different program, I'd be grateful.

 Many thanks in advance,

 Mike

The case makes your iPad mini dust proof, rain proof, snow proof, drop
proof, shock proof, and waterproof in the sense that it can actually
be in up to six feet of water and according to Lifeproofs test
results, be perfectly fine.

Includes case, shoulder strap, and polishing cloth.

It kind of all depends on your needs. The i3 processor is considerably
slower than the i5 and vastly slower than the i7. Yes, the speed is
deceiving. The i7 processor with the slower noted speed will likely perform
faster than the i5 processor at 3.6 GHz. Most of the MacBook Airs come with
the i3 process and many people find them fast enough for their needs. The
faster the processor and the more RAM that you have, the longer your machine
will be practical for you, as long as its hardware doesn't fail. Why I say
this, is that as new apps and even more importantly, new MacOS's are
released, they tend to require more power to perform well. So, if you have
the better processor and more RAM, the machine should last you longer before
you need to spend again on a new computer. You also require better
processing power when your machine has a more powerful video card. All
these components talk to each other and there are numerous processors within
the computer, so, more graphics processing means more info to the main CPU
thus better processing power is recommended.

 Hi,

It kind of all depends on your needs. The i3 processor is considerably
slower than the i5 and vastly slower than the i7. Yes, the speed is
deceiving. The i7 processor with the slower noted speed will likely
 perform
faster than the i5 processor at 3.6 GHz. Most of the MacBook Airs come
 with
the i3 process and many people find them fast enough for their needs.
 The
faster the processor and the more RAM that you have, the longer your
 machine
will be practical for you, as long as its hardware doesn't fail. Why I
 say
this, is that as new apps and even more importantly, new MacOS's are
released, they tend to require more power to perform well. So, if you
 have
the better processor and more RAM, the machine should last you longer
 before
you need to spend again on a new computer. You also require better
processing power when your machine has a more powerful video card. All
these components talk to each other and there are numerous processors
 within
the computer, so, more graphics processing means more info to the main
 CPU
thus better processing power is recommended.

How about the GHz number? It is hard to believe we now have machines

It is confusing when the Core iNumber goes down, but the GHz number

fs:iMac in excellent condition...

2014-05-24 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi all. Please write off list to make me an offer. I only accept
payment via pay pal and will only ship to a confirmed address in the
US or Canada. Thanks.

21 inch iMac for sale with OSX, iLife 11, power cable, Apple USB
keyboard, mouse, and bluetooth magic trackpad. Machine has no issues
and is in near mint condition! works great with OSX Mavericks as well
as Windows seven 64 bit... I will reformat the machine and do a fresh
install of OSX before shipping.

Features include aluminum case, 500gb hard drive, quad core Intel I5
processor, eight gigs of ram, superdrive, sd card slot, thunderbolt,
multiple firewire and USB ports, airport wireless, bluetooth, stereo
speakers, microphone, web cam etc.

In a room with no background noise, the machine is so quiet that it's
hard to tell when it's even running... The machine is very compact and
takes up hardly any desk space. The built in stand is easily adjusted
and the build quality is fantastic! It can also be mounted on the wall
if you don't have any free desk space.

take it to the Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider. If it's not on

it's a fairly easy thing to check. Although, if it was installed by a

Re: booting from an external drive

2014-05-07 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. Honestly, I don't know if it looks better, but, it has good
specs compared to more current flat panels I checked out online. It's
only been used for a few hours. I'm totally blind and only bought it
so I could have sighted assistance once in a while. I bought it four
years ago but as I said, it's only been turned on for a few hours in

he sees no issues with it.

jailbreaking iPhone 4s anybody...

Has anybody done this?

Google gives me a lot of ads, useless youtube videos, and web sites
that are either scams or want cash...

I am aware of security issues and worms etc around, but, there appear
to be safe versions out there yes? I have had no need to do this with
any of my iOS devices so need some guidance if possible...

Feel free to reply to me off list.

Thanks,

Re: Running Windows on Mac, on a budget

2014-02-26 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. I've had no trouble running windows seven ultimate 32 bit or 64
bit via bootcamp. It'll most likely be the best option. You're going
to have an easier time using a native install as opposed to a virtual
machine. And as for hardware/driver/application conflicts, I've had
none to speak of with my native windows install and that is on five
different macs at this point.

If you can afford the new mac mini server edition, that gives you two
1tb internal hard drives, an Intel I7 quad core processor, and more
ram than you'll probably need with the ability to add more later on if
required.

Just my two cents...

Cameron.

On 2/26/14, Deb Lewis deblewi...@gmail.com wrote:
Well at times running windows on a mac is more a nightmare than a day dream

 done pretty well.
First, you won't be using Parallels. It's not accessible. You'll have to use
VMware fusion if you want a virtual machine or of course you can use Boot
Camp if you don't mind separating your Windows and Mac experience.
The biggest problem with VMware fusion is that most of my sighted friends
using Macs don't use it. It doesn't have nearly the ratings of Parallel and
except for accessibility doesn't seem to be of interest to people I know. So
 getting help is sometimes challenging.
If you want your experience to be particularly snappy in windows, you'll
have to have at least three cores to dedicate to the Windows box.
Fortunately the Mac doesn't need so much.
I had mine on a Mac Air but it was pretty sluggish and crashed a lot. I
finally wen to a Macbook Pro with maximum specs and it's running quite well.
But that doesn't address your interest to do this on the cheap.
I think your copy of WindowEyes will run in the virtual machine with
Windows7 but check with them to be sure. NVDA certainly will of course.
be prepared for headaches though. You have to map some keys, resolve
whatever conflicts arise about hardware and applications etc. I've found it
to be pretty challenging at times. Reliability of help from the lists has
 been hit and miss too.
Having said that, I'd probably do it again.

Hi. I'm selling two items;an iPhone 4s and an upgraded mac pro desktop
computer with flat panel monitor. Please write me off list if
interested. I only accept Pay Pal and while I can ship the iPhone
world wide, the mac pro desktop will be a US only sale due to the
weight of the machine. Thanks.

1. Verizon iPhone 4s, 16gb, it's in fantastic condition and has no
issues at all. Includes wall charger, USB cable, original box, and two
cases: a military spec Griffin Survivor and a lighter Belcon case. I
can have it unlocked for use with networks outside of the US;all
you'll have to do is insert your sim card, power the phone on and
you'll be all set!

2. upgraded mac pro desktop computer with eight core Intel processor
at 2.8gHz per core and 2.5tb or internal storage with room for more as
well as a newer dual layer dvd burner. I also upgraded the ram to
eight gigs. (If you want even more ram, you could have 32 gigs or more
depending on what sort of upgrade kit you go with, like one from OWC
for example.) I'm also including a Sony flat panel monitor, iLife 11,
apple mouse, apple keyboard, and will do a clean install of OSX before
shipping. (SL or Mavericks, it's up to you.)

Get in touch if interested.

Thanks,

Cameron.

Re: finding thhe correct drivers for my bootcamp

2013-12-28 Thread Cameron Strife
Huh? How can you find it? Didn't you use it already to create the
partition you installed windows on?

Anyways, it's in your utilities folder which you can get to by
pressing command, shift, u in OSX.

You might want to download the latest package just in case, or, you
can try using Apple software update on the windows side. I haven't had
great luck with that though regarding the bootcamp drivers so try it
on the OSX side first...

You can manually download them from the Apple web site as well.

Cameron.

Re: toggle bitween windows and mavericks, and partetioning my hd

2013-12-26 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi.

holding down the option key when you hear the startup sound will bring
up your boot choices. Just right arrow or left arrow and then hit
enter.

In startup disk under system preferences on mac, and, the bootcamp
control panel under windows, you can change your default startup disk.

Cameron.

FS:Complete audio production system for sale including an upgraded eight core mac pro desktop, pro tools, Toontrack, and Focusrite etc.

2013-12-04 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everybody. I'm selling an entire Mac pro based audio production
system. Please write me off list if interested. I accept payment via
pay pal and will only ship to a confirmed address in the USA or
Canada. I always ship with tracking and full insurance.

Details below... This has everything: computer, monitor, DAW software,
audio/midi interface, plug ins etc. If somebody wants the whole
system, I'll throw in various cables and headphones etc.

Thanks,

Cameron.

Mac pro desktop computer, 64 bit compatible, has worked great for both
OSX and windows seven 64 bit! Features include aluminum case, eight
core Intel Xeon processor at 2.8gHz per core, eight gigs of lifetime
ram, Texas instruments firewire chipset, bluetooth, airport wireless,
ethernet, and multiple USB, firewire, and ethernet ports. There is a
brand new Seagate 500gb drive installed which I have as the system
drive, then there are two 1tb Seagate drives I use as data drives with
a fourth bay free. (All drives are under warranty from Seagate and are
7200rpm.) Includes iLife 11, OSX, Sony flat panel display with built
in speakers, Apple keyboard, mouse, and I can install OSX mavericks if
you wish. Even with three hard drives and a serious fan running, this
machine is very quiet! Please inquire for detailed specs or to make me
an offer. I'd also consider including my pro tools 9 license.

Tech 21 Sansamp US Steel character series guitar distortion pedal and
direct recording box. This has everything from crystal clean all the
way up to boogie rectifier tones in it. On top of having active EQ
etc, it can also be used for recording or live performance without an
amplifier as it has selectable cabinet simulation. Pedal is mint and
includes metal box and power supply.
$130

Toontrack Superior drummer 2, mac/windows, 32 or 64 bit. (You'll have
all installs to use, there are three I believe.)
The license will be legally transferred by Toontrack after purchase.
$199

Focusrite pro 24 dsp firewire audio/midi interface with plug in suite,
mac and windows, 32/64 bit drivers. it can be powered via the firewire
bus. Some of the many features include nutrik front panel
mike/instrument inputs, phantom power, two headphone preamps with
seperat volume controls, multiple line in and output jacks on the back
of the unit as well as midi in/out and s/pdif etc. This also has
virtual environment modeling for playback although I didn't explore
this much. Unit is in excellent condition!
$299

Re: actually, was which mackbook is this?

2013-11-23 Thread Cameron Strife
All of the mac book pros have had the unibody aluminum case for quite
some time now as have the mac book airs... I've had no issues with
overheating or warping etc with the three unibody case mac book pros
I've owned. Others may have had issues, I'm sure it's possible, but,
they would be few and far between. No mac user I know has mentioned an
issue in relation to the case on the imacs or the mac books... If it's
a refurb direct from Apple, it should include a one year warranty for
parts and labor due to a defect.

One more thought... My concern with a refurb or used computer from
another source would be the hard drive. I'd advise installing a solid
state drive for peace of mind and longevity. SSD drives are quite
affordable these days and they are a safer bet especially when
installed in a portable machine as you don't have the moving parts of
a mechanical drive. Apple can sell you the drive and install it if you
aren't comfortable doing it yourself. (If you do decide to do it
yourself though, it does not void the warranty.)

Really, where did you read that? Have you looked to see what the command
does? All it does is to call a program within the installer itself, called

/Volumes? Was your USB Stick labeled Untitled? It wouldn't make sense to
have different installers for target platforms.

Re: can't download Mavericks...

2013-10-23 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. I was actually able to download it using our old beat up white mac
book. i downloaded the latest version of disk maker x but after I
select mavericks, I get a message saying system event dialogue needs
attention but command tabbing doesn't show a dialogue box. disk maker
x just sits with no windows and then a few minutes later, i get an
apple event timeout message and I can quit the application.

has anybody else experienced this? I've got the mavericks installer in
the applications olfder and I've formatted my eight gig flash drive
following the instructions on their site.

When I have some time tomorrow, I'm going to check their FAQ in more detail...

In the meantime, any suggestions?

Thanks,

Trouble with win seven, bootcamp, and mac book air...

2013-08-01 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everybody. Perhaps somebody has gone through this and can shed some
light on what might be going on... I've searched apple forums etc but
haven't found a solution yet...

My girlfriend needs windows on her mac book air for work so I
installed win seven Ultimate 32 bit after creating the required
partition in the bootcamp utility in mountain lion.

When I instruct the bootcamp utility to download the windows support
software, I get the dialogue box saying that the download is in
progress. That's where it ends though because it just seems stuck. I
even let it sit overnight and the same dialogue box was still there
the next morning. There is no status bar etc that is visible to
voiceover, none that I can find at least.

So, I went on the apple site and downloaded the two latest 32 bit
versions of the package but neither will install. I get an error
message when I run setup.exe that says that it's not compatible with
this machine. We're not running win seven 64 bit either so that is not
the issue.

I grabbed the bootcamp folder off of my old snow lepeard dvd and while
that seems to install correctly, (I get the last dialogue box with the
finish button then the message saying that I need to restart the
computer), none of the drivers load after rebooting and bootcamp is
not in the notifications area.

When I go into device manager, it doesn't look like any of the apple
and other specific drivers have loaded because I only see generic
drivers under things like keyboard, network adapters etc.

This is my first time installing windows via bootcamp on an air and my
first time doing it on a mac with mountain lion. I've done this on
five different macs over the past few years with no trouble but now I
am at a loss as to what's going on here...

Thoughts?

Thanks for any tips you guys might have!

Cameron.

brightness slider, however, VoiceOver went a little bananas. The sound
kept cutting in and out almost like VoiceOver was stuttering or on a
really bad phone line. Then I lost VoiceOver sound completely. I navigated
right and turned automatically adjust screen brightness back on, and
VoiceOver returned to me. However, when I would navigate back to the
brightness slider VoiceOver would begin stutterring again.

Any ideas of what's going on here? Does this happen to everyone or just
 me?

Re: a slight question about buying a mac?

2013-04-26 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. Regarding audio work, yes, of course you want to have all your
sessions on an external hard drive. Upgrading the internal drive is
still a good idea though. The likelihood of a mechanical drive failing
is far higher than that of a solid state drive failing. so, for peace
of mind, it's a good idea if you can afford it. (This can always be
done later in any case.)

Having an ssd moves things along a lot quicker with everyday tasks
too;software updates, backing up, restoring if need be etc.

Also, for critical recording, a machine with a solid state drive is
going to be far quietter than one with a mechanical drive.

And just a note on pro tools for anybody who may not know already...
Pro tools under mountain lion has some accessibility setbacks that
have not been resolved yet. Edit fields being read as blank and
certain menus and plugs not being accessible being some of them. The
best course of action for now is to stay with the latest versions of
pt8 or pt9 under OSX 10.6 or 10.7.

Finally, there are no gains with the new version of pt10 that was just
released, or in pt11 so for now, save your pennies. Hopefully these
issues will be resolved but Apple aren't very open with progress or
any sort of time table as is the case with the lack of logic
accessibility. We shall see...

Cameron.

 The

drives to my newer laptop. Something like this:

Or you can get a cable that has a FW400 on one end and 800 on the other

does the same thing but you'll pay a bit more. That might be nice as it
 means
one less connection to slip apart. Of course that assumes the software

run ok on modern OSX. I'm not a protools user these days but the Digi 002

My desire will be a laptop. I want to put things together much the way

My registered copy of pro-tools goes back a bit. it is critical that I

Re: a slight question about buying a mac?

2013-04-25 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. As previously stated, any of the mac book pros that are non retina
display models will have the superdrive on board.

Whether you're talking about the firewire 800 port or the Intel
Thunderbolt port, the digi 002 would work with both via a reasonably
priced adapter. (I believe mine cost me around $25US.)

If you're going to be using it for pt, be sure to get a solid state
hard drive, or, at least upgrade the stock drive to a 7200rpm drive.
(A hard drive upgrade is one of the options if you order from the
online apple store for example.)

Cameron.

 Hi folks,
Granted I could ask this on the pro tools list too.
Still I really enjoyed the wisdom Anita got when she was putting hers
together, and I have some of the same goals.
Let me ask the more pro-tools like question first however.
My desire will be a laptop. I want to put things together much the way
people guided Anita to doing, being sure I still has a cd optical drive
being very very sure I can still have firewire 400 access. I use a digi
002, and want absolutely to connect this device to the machine. I think
there is still an adapter for this if needful.
Now, my goal would be if I can to put what I want together, but pick it up
in store, the apple store here in Toronto where I intend taking advantage
of the in store training apple provides.
I want to support this effort with my business.
Assuming I can actually finance the machine in the first place smiles, can
 I
1, still find a laptop with the sort of firewire connection required for
the digi 002? That one is for those on list here who can answer that.
2, if I follow the steps in the other thread choosing the size and other
pieces I desire can I indeed place the order either on the phone, on
line, or in a store with the item going to a store for pick up?
I imagine this will be a unit or so back, which is perfectly okay.
My registered copy of pro-tools goes back a bit. it is critical that I
can connect the digi if this is impossible, then I will either wait to get
the new mac, or get one still with things like the cd optical drive and
be sure I can connect other aspects of production to that machine.
I know I will be using the full sized keyboard I have with this older mac
anyway, so I can type normally lol.

I have an older mac here already that I use for production now.
I know that seems confusing, but trust me lol.
Let me stop here, as I am wanting to be very firm about what I do not wish
 to negotiate on smiles.
 Thanks,
 Karen

I haven't tried the word press iOS app yet but in any case, what are

iTunes freezing while downloading app updates...

2013-04-16 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi all. I'm using the latest versions of mountain lion and iTunes 11
and am having a problem. Whenever app updates are available, I select
download all free updates and then sign in when the dialogue comes up.

Now, where it says for example, 1/5 of 5, everything stops.

Back when I was using iTunes 10, as the updates downloaded, you'd get
a soft little chime or ding sound as each download completed, the
number would move along, and it would finish in no time at all. Now,
it just sits there doing nothing. When you try to quit, it says that
apps are being downloaded. If you do choose quit, nothing happens.
Even force quit doesn't usually close the program. I let it sit for
over an hour and nothing had changed.

Downloading podcasts and books behaves normally by the way.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this to happen?

Thanks,

Cameron.

e bay, safari, and voiceover...

2013-04-14 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everybody. I'm hoping there is at least one person on list who has
been able to list items successfully on e bay with voiceover and
safari recently...

I'm trying to totally migrate all of my tasks to the mac but this one
just isn't happening.

I'm getting stuck on the step where you upload pics of your item.
Since they updated the site a while ago, there is no longer a
button/link to bring up the add pictures dialogue box. On windows,
you can find the text with the jaws cursor and do a mouse click to
bring up the dialogue box. I'm having no luck getting this to work on
the mac side.

Could anybody give me any tips? It would be greatly appreciated!

Ebay supposedly had a commitment to accessibility but I guess that was
just lip service in the end. quite frustrating. When you try to talk
to them on the phone about accessibility issues, you get some employee
who has no clue what you're talking about and who's first language is
certainly not English.

Thanks,

Cameron.

Hi. Well, you can see it in the form controls list, but,
selecting/clicking it does nothing. This seems to also be true for the
advanced view sorry to say.

I don't get this. How hard is it to have a normal link? They used to
have it and it worked fine. I assume they changed it to some bit
mapped garbage that is more appealing to sighted users...

I may try the iPhone app, but, that will be a hassle as all my pics
and descriptions, which I write ahead of time in a text editor, are on
my computer, not my iPhone.

All of these things are covered on the Apple web site, Apple dealer's

are your friends. A little research can go a long way. Asking
questions is fine, but, a bit of investigation beforehand most likely
would have provided you some or all of the answers you seek.

Hi everybody! I'm selling my mint condition mac book pro which was
upgraded by Apple. This would be a killer rig for pro tools, garage
band, logic, sonar with windows via bootcamp, or just every day
general computing and entertainment! Details/specs below... I always
ship with tracking and full insurance. I only accept payment via pay
pal and will only ship to a confirmed address in the USA, Canada, the

of upgraded mbps around on e bay and other places that someone did
with inferior ssds etc.) All in all it was a bit over $3500.

Includes world wide power supply, pouch style protective case,
OSX/iLife dvds, documentation, and a bootable copy of OSX Mountain
Lion on a thumb drive. I'll reformat the machine and do a fresh
install of Mountain Lion before shipping.

Re: Virus invasion

2013-01-26 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. $200? Hm. That sounds very high indeed for reformatting a hard
drive and reinstalling OSX, if that is what this turns out to be. I
wouldn't even pay that much if it included a replacement hard drive.

If a reformat and reinstall of OSX is the case, you can do that at
home for free as voiceover will boot from the OSX dvd, flash drive, or
recovery partition. All you need to do is run disk utility, wipe the
hd, reformat it, and install OSX. If you'd like instructions, let me
know.

Cameron.

Re: Anybody here installed Windows on a Bootcamp without sighted assistance?

2012-11-28 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. Ah, okay, so you have a solution for selecting the proper
partition once the windows seven installer launches? I'd be very
interested to hear what that is as I've had no luck figuring that out
yet and that includes trying to use an unattended install file with no
success.

Once partition selection is done and the ula is accepted, you can run
narraotr to finish the setup process. That's all well and good, but,
it baffles me that they would not make sure that the first one or two
screens of the freaking installer were accessible with narrator...
Thanks Microsoft.
