[SlimDevices: Plugins] Home Assistant - LMS - Material Skin
Hi all, Has anybody managed to get LMS working well within Home Assistant? I've been trying the Webpage Card Configuration and it can display the Material Skin but Artists/Albums/Genres pages are all blank but the New Music page works!!?! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spicefly SugarCube - DSTM and Google Traffic
If you are creating filters using the Windows MIP version 1.96b then you can't copy that m3lib file to Linux and preserve the filters as far as I know, as the Windows version 1.96 had a difference cache structure to the Linux release. If you use the Windows MIP 1.8.1b version I understand it works ok, then just copying the m3lib file to Linux, you need to restart the service to re-read the file or refresh the cache by going to the host:10002 in a web browser and clicking the refresh cache button. The filters should then be exposed and visible in the LMS/SC Player page. You've probably already seen it but page here about filters, what kind of filters are you creating that are tied to paths? I've used them to group a number of genres together but these are then linked via the mp3 tags so not tied to a physical path. https://www.spicefly.com/article.php?page=musicip-filters Moods I have no idea unfortunately, I don't have much in the way of saved documentation and I never found any good detailed explanations of how they should work anywhere. If you need to step down from MIP 1.96b to 1.81b ensure you have a backup of the m3lib file (in case you need to go back again) and ensure you have also saved the tags into the music files (archive analysis setting in MIP) and check they are using mp3tag. MIP will need to rescan and read the fingerprints to build the m3lib file and if they are not saved in the music file it will have to rescan and re-fingerprint your collection from scratch which would suck www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. Auto-mix will use the settings you specify under the Player Settings menu, its not related to the playing track. Its a preconfigured fast play something and go method. 35391 If you want to use the current playing track as a seed, enable "Dynamic Queuing" under Player Settings menu and it will automatically queue the next track for you but only if you are at the end of the playlist, using the last track in the playlist as the seed, otherwise it will stay quiet. 35392 guptaas wrote: > I can't make sense of the drop down menu for Track Ratings and what to > expect between Disabled/lowest/highest when I can insert <2 right below > it. The ratings used are TrackStat ratings as used across LMS, nothing to do with MusicIP ratings. You need to have installed TrackStat for this to work, they basically sort the results and then pick the track so its a bias tweak. Not sure if that covers all your queries, feel free to reply here, DM or Email me. SC has obviously had organic growth over the years so I guess has assumed knowledge, I try to lay it out clearly and e.g. ratings are under the section marked TrackStat. Just to add to what 33squeezebox_Fan mentioned, reading the patents a while back MIP fingerprints by taking the source file and converting it to a wav file before it does it's analysis. Therefore if you have issues they are likely in that conversion step, maybe timeouts, beyond the capabilities of the decompressor etc, so you could try using something like https://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm to batch convert to wav, then fingerprint and then copy the fingerprint back into the source file. www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. Although I run it locally and use it pretty much every day, I leave it a few months of no reported issues before moving the latest.xml forward. You can copy any link on the Version page and paste it into LMS plugin repositories to grab whichever version you want, or if manually update; the XML file shows the zip file location which you can download, extract and replace all the files. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP not recognizing stored analysis when buliding library
I would take a copy of 100 files, wipe the MIP tags and scan them under 1.8, then compare the tags against the 1.96b and check the differences. It might just be the tag name (similar to how it is different for FLAC vs mp3) however if the actual fingerprint is different then I'm not sure what you can do other than rescan them using the Windows 1.8 version. Two reasons I can think of.. 1) You have SugarCube selected as the provider in Don't Stop the Music plugin 2) The player is in a sync group but isn't the master player, so the changes you are making won't apply. In this case there is a warning displayed in the standard LMS web interface with a message which advises the master player, e.g; Warning Kitchen is a slave in sync group, make changes at Bathroom www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. It doesn't seem to respect the standard Slim::Web::Pages->addPageLinks functions then all plugins that have line items announce. If so it would appear but then I don't know the impact of that which might be like an explosion in a paint factory. For the DSTM, what additional functionality would that add? SCube has had Dynamic Queuing since 2010 which will only queue a track if there is no next track in the playlist and release 5.01 will now ignore Spotify and all the previous streaming services I think were already covered. In terms of multi-genre I have no idea tbh. I have one genre per album (idv2.3 tags) which works well enough for my 30k library. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Fingerprint Metadata Extractor (MusicIP can it be reborn?)
Hi All, Announcing a little experiment, to see whether it's possible to resurrect MusicIP.. if your tracks are already MusicIP fingerprinted please read further and hoping you will help out :) The Issue MusicIP is a great piece of software but if you haven't scanned your music files its a long process to start from scratch. The Theory Is it possible to use other fingerprinting software to cross reference and build a new MusicIP metadata library from tracks already fingerprinted by MusicIP. If it's possible to build up 100k of the most common tracks then that would go a big way to solving the issue and the user then might only have to scan a few hundred tracks. What is Spicefly Fingerprint Metadata Extractor? SFME is a proof of concept software. Using AcoustID's Chromaprint open source audio identification fingerprinting software and then by running this against tracks that already have MusicIP fingerprints it copies the metadata and uploads it to the source server. The plan is to use crowd sourcing to build a much larger data model and study the metadata and see if there is any cross reference. How you can Help SFME is something I've been wanting to try out for a long time, so I learnt Visual C# over the last 12 months and bring you Version 0.1. If your tracks already contain MusicIP fingerprints, please download and run SFME on your tracks to aid the research effort. Hi Frankd, Very interesting work that you are doing with the Pi. I've added your proposed changes into a test release here; http://www.spicefly.com/media/scube4x/beta480.xml If you get a chance would be helpful if you could test this on your setup and let me know if it's working ok. I'll then add a GUI element to enable fine tuning of the timeout value, similar to the SQL timeouts. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezer: open source Android Squeezeserver remote control
I spent a while fiddling with this, assuming you have downloaded the source file and installed Android Studio, I made the following changes; Open the Gradle Scripts -> build.gradle Module: Squeezer Change around lines 39 to // EventBus, https://github.com/greenrobot/EventBus. //compile project(':libs:eventbus:EventBus') compile 'de.greenrobot:eventbus:2.4.1' Then go to the Libs folder and delete the eventbus folder with its sub-folders.. so you should just have the datetimepicker folder and a libs.iml file in the libs folder. Then hit Run... with your phone attached via USB.. select it as the target It then builds and installs the APK file and runs fine Looks a nice app :) Android Studio can be a PITA to install, so if you are having specific environment problems with Android Studio just google the errors messages and work through it, is the best advice I can give. www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. To install the APK you just turn on developer options on your phone, then connect it to your laptop via USB. Then when you build the app in Android studio, instead of using the software emulator, you select your phone as the target. It will then load the file on to your phone and you are done. Hi, The Music Tab is Dynamic Path conversion it just doesn't say it is, so anything in the Music Location Server Name field is replaced by the Music Location IP Address. Let me have a look at the wording on the tab, potentially I can part fill some of these fields if the MusicIP fields are correct as I can get it from the response from MIP. Hi, Ok I've submitted Version 1.2 to the PlayStore, it should be available soon. This adds logging of the file copy process and is saved in the root of the phone, note that it also saves the username/pwd. The app will look at the mix returned by MIP and then uses a search/replace method to replace the start of the filename with the IP address so it can connect and download the music. So if you have share permissions setup on that location, you need the username/password configured. If you are having trouble connecting to your MIP server from the phone, open a browser on the phone and check that it can access MIP this will help determine if it's a firewall issue or not, ie firewall and port number. The default port number is 10002, so if MIP server has IP 192.168.0.5 then put in the browser http://192.168.0.5:10002/ Cheers www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube for Android
Hey all, Spicefly SugarCube has been available for LMS for a few years now. I've recently been looking at how I can take it further and specifically how to use MusicIP on my phone, so obviously installing MusicIP on Android isn't possible. So instead I learnt Java and wrote an Android app to link to the MusicIP Server. How it Works Once configured Select Genre, Artist, Filter or Feeling Luck Mix Spicefly SugarCube then connects to your local MusicIP server on your LAN. Gets the Mix result Copies the music files to your phone Creates the playlist to play the music files in the right order The App is currently an alpha testing release only. If you are interested please send me a private message with your email address that is linked to the Play Store and I will add you to the testers list. Note you must have a MusicIP Server setup on your network, otherwise it won't work! :) If you have no idea what MusicIP is and not actively using it, then this app isn't for you yet, see www.spicefly.com for more information and get scanning. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Prefix of tmp instead of file; Slim::Player::Playlist::url
Hi guys Bit of an odd issue I noticed today. I recently upgraded to LMS: 7.9.0 - 1440747495 @ Sat Aug 29 04:05:24 CUT 2015 at the weekend. I kicked off a SugarCube/MusicIP mix on my Radio; Radio Player Model: Squeezebox Radio Player Type: baby Firmware: 7.7.3-r16676 Wireless Signal Strength: 93% and noticed that no tracks were queuing up as I was getting strange results from the following function; my $song = Slim::Player::Playlist::url($client); $log->debug("URL Reported;$song\n"); It was returning tracks like this (NOTE the tmp); URL Reported;tmp:FATCAT/music/music/Massive%20Attack/Heligoland/etc Yet moments ago when I was listening on my duet I was getting the normal; URL Reported;file:FATCAT/music/music/Thievery%20Corporation/etc. The switch of tmp instead of file, broke my code. :( I've not seen the tmp before, yet each track I selected from the Radio returned the same tmp prefix. (All tracks are on a NAS system.) I can add a code fix into my code but wondered where the tmp came from, is there a change I need to cover off? Strangely enough, without any code changes I just selected a track from the LMS Web GUI and everything worked fine again. On the change to the new licensing model, I decided the following, rather than force everybody to pay again; For donations £10 got 1yr license to use the latest versions ie. above 3.51 For donations £20 get lifetime to use the latest versions ie. above 3.51 You can evaluate one-time SCube for 30 days before making any purchase decision, as detailed on the Spicefly Licensing page. If you donated before you just need to contact me with your license details as detailed on the Spicefly Licensing page. End of the day if you dont like the licensing terms then dont use SCube. Learn Perl and write you own plugin. I wont reply to any further discussions on licensing.. If you have a support issue come back to me. I helped out someone already this week with a track selection issue which eventually turned out to be using a filter that was limited to just a few tracks of their library. SCube doesnt have a fetish for Aretha Franklin, so please check the settings carefully; http://www.spicefly.com/spicefly-sugarcube/troubleshooting.html What does the SugarCube history page show? The SugarCube database file looks fine I dont see any issues in there. The log file is showing tracks queueing up as expected without any issues. However I did notice in your server.log file that there are a lot of warnings on playlists and also warnings on .wav files. Can you please perform the following actions; 1) MusicIP GUI, check that it shows all your files as Green and Analyzed, can you check Preferences - Watch Folders and make sure your directory is in there and set to scan on startup (dont select monitor folders continuously) if its not set to scan on startup, set it and then shutdown MusicIP GUI. Wait 10seconds and then restart MusicIP GUI and let it rescan your music and make sure everything is ok. 2) Once the MusicIP GUI has completed. Go to http://localhost:10002/ and select Reload Cache. 3) Perform a full clear and rescan on LMS. Then see if there is any difference, the above steps will ensure that everything is in-sync for LMS and MusicIP Cheers cparker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73988 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It spat out the 55 songs I have specified in the settings. 2 - I checked Sugarcube history and it shows 0 songs like the above poster. Though that is probably due to the fact that I uninstalled and reinstalled LMS in my frustration to get Sugarcube working. That, of course, did not help. I have since played several songs and they still did not reflect in Sugarcube history. But it definitely works as it picks the songs as it gets to the last song of any playlist. So it definitely functions. 3 - I never had any MIP filters on so that step does not apply. 4 - I turned off TrackStat and the result is the same. 5 - I'm meticulous about my music collection so my tags are perfect. Should I record a log maybe and post it here? Update: It seems to work for a few songs if I change server settings but then it goes right back to picking its favorite songs all over again. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly Voyager (Take Playlists on the move)
Spicefly Voyager is a free GPL released plugin to cover the situation where I want to create playlists and take them away with me on holiday, without the hassle of LMS rescanning for changes and editing m3u files. Scenario: My wife likes a track and hits a button to save it to her playlist. The playlist is stored in a standalone sqlite db which is then sync'ed to my laptop that we take on holiday. (Using SugarSync) On holiday a simple click loads the playlist, job done! Voyager is a simple save to playlist, play my playlist plugin. Using the relative path of the music track, it takes into account that the home system has a different media base path for the music library than the laptop. Plus using a standalone sqlite db means no need to rescan the music library each time a change is made. Voyager has very basic persona support, ie. multiple users and saving to different playlists for different users. KNOWN ISSUES/FEATURES Only tested on Windows 7 Changing Owners within Jive Menus will not automatically update the available playlists for that owner. Re: Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x
Hi, I'm a bit confused on your setup, so to simplify is this correct? LMS 7.7.1 on a Synology DS1511+ NAS. MusicIP (headless) installed (on the NAS?) MusicIP GUI installed on a laptop? So you are using the laptop to do the analysis of your music files? You have setup MusicIP to *save* the analysis into the music files? (You are correct that the paths *must* match) On your laptop can you reach your music by a UNC e.g. \\nas\media\music Can you setup LMS on the NAS to also connect by UNC e.g. \\nas\media\music Setup MusicIP GUI to point via the same UNC e.g. \\nas\media\music (See Watch Folders under Preferences select your music files via the Network and not the mapped network drive) Once you have done the analysis on the laptop close down MusicIP and copy the default.m3lib file and replace the file on the NAS. Make sure the mmm.ini text file has the correct path to the default.m3lib file ie. cache= Hope that helps cparker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73988 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Is there an alternative to Spicefly Sugarcube?
pippin;689682 Wrote: My experience (I'm also having a hard time to get SugarCube to act like I want) is that this is mainly dependent on the MusicIP settings and it's the same in Phil's plugin, although I like Phil's plugin somewhat better than Sugarcube because I can just turn it off by playing something else and it doesn't change a whole bunch of other unrelated behaviors. But back to topic, here's my gotcha: For me the issue was that you now seem to _have_ to use the per-player MusicIP settings, no matter what the plugin says (both plugins) in the general setting... Wait, Phil's plugin only has per-player settings anyway but in SugarCube and MusicIP there's an option to not use per-player settings with MusicIP and that doesn't work as of my experience, you always have to configure the settings per player or they are set to ridiculous defaults. Which version are you refering? SugarCube will only queue tracks if you enable it and depending on how you configure it, only when LMS is playing the last track in a playlist, otherwise it sits quietly in the background not doing anything. Additionally SCube v4 has a new feature coming shortly that has settings sync, which will save the settings for all players (if selected) and saves configuring SCube settings for each player. Can you explain a little more what you mean regarding settings? The usage of per player settings enables you to be listening to Jazz for example on your player, while your wife listens to Rave in the other room on another player and the settings, selection criteria etc are distinct from each other. -- cparker www.spicefly.com - Spicefly SugarCube - Taking Squeezebox and MusicIP to the next level. Sometimes its greyed out when its scanning. Try waiting for it to finish and then go into the menus and try to select it. Failing that just select all your music files in the gui window and right click and select Archive Analysis modifies file (or something like that) and it will punch it into the files. Also Right Click in the left window where it has Library and select new filter, and select Match All conditions; Stored Analysis... is missing...
