Actually if there is any yeast / Candida the Cansema will react the same as if there were Cancer, so do not jump to conclusions if you see a reaction. This is information I got directly from the makers of Cansema by phone. It was also confirmed by another consultant. Janet Jane MacRoss wrote: Several of my friends have successfully used cansema ointment for suspicious areas - no reaction if it is nothing to worry about . Re: CSRectal CS
I believe the idea put forth by a number of people is that because the stomach secretes Hydrochloric Acid in response to food that when CS is consumed this will combine with the HCl to form the compound Silver Chloride. Problem with this theory is that HCL is only secreted in response to food and is only there when there is food in the stomach. If you take your CS on an empty stomach there is no reason for HCL to be secreted. No one has demonstrated the formation of Silver Chloride in response to CS ingestion, in the stomach -- this is only a theory and one that does not hold up under conditions where there is no Hydrochloric Acid present. There should be a lot more blue people around if this theory were true since Silver compounds bioaccumulate. Re: CSMy first post
Not to beg the question but about 20% of KPU tests are false negatives. Pyrroles are very easily degraded by heat and light and labs have been known to mishandle the samples, allowing them to get too warm and have been known to even refreeze them, something to consider if your symptoms are a really close match, particularly low stress tolerance with an anger reaction and nightmares or no dream recall. Taurine is good for gall stones BTW. Pyrrolurics accumulate heavy metals because of Zinc deficiencies. Plasma Zinc levels are not an accurate reflection. We cleaned out an office for a custom golf club mfg that had gone under in the Dot Gone Tech Wreck, they owed us money for contract programming and their check bounced so they offered to give us what was left in the office in the way of computers and furniture. Well in one of the filing cabinets was a book box full of people credit card numbers. Now that would not happen these days since security laws require that all but the last four numbers be blacked out but . . . . why were they printing them out in the first place, and it was suppose to be a secure site with all the badges. I burned the whole box. Janet Melly Bag wrote: Thank you Dee and others for replying to my question on distillers. Yes, i got a recall letter. CSIdeal Calcium to Magnesium Ratio is 1:1
Some very compelling evidence to support the need for more Magnesium. Heart attacks deaths are much higher in areas where the water is soft and Mg is low relative to Ca. Janet http://www.enerex.ca/articles/calcium_to_magnesium_ratio.htm The traditional ratio of approximately 2 parts calcium to 1 part magnesium needs to be upgraded to increase magnesium intake in view of the overwhelming beneficial role of magnesium. The ideal ratio for most people's needs is an equal ratio of calcium and magnesium. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Re: CSPromising protocol.....Toe Fungus
I recently read up on the medicinal uses of Henna, the plant used for dyeing hair. Apparently it is a traditional anti-fungal treatment. But it will make your toes brown for a week or so. I buy it at internatural.com by the pound for my hair. I never have any scalp fungus or dandruff. Different colors have different amounts of Henna, the red is the pure henna, other colors have other plants added. I am not thinking of trying it on my toes, but will wait until sandal season is over. Toe fungus is more of a problem during the winter for me anyway, due to wearing shoes more. Janet brooks76...@lycos.com wrote: Recently, we concluded a brief.but promising DIY protocol designed to address toenail fungi colonies. This simple methodology yielded surprisingly effective abatement/control of expressing fungal insults involving the toenailsmost especially the great toe. The procedure was as follows: (1) a brief, preliminary foot-soak in warm tap-water (5 minutes average); (2) Using a solution of saturated bicarbonate of soda (70% by volume), blended with 30% by volume (Full Strength DMSO)...liberally applied via eye dropper or Q-Tip type applicator [thoroughly soaked)]insuring the crease between the nail wall and the adjoining tissue is filled with liquid, apply (3) the beam of a conventional laser pointer (or about a 3500 mw LED bulb)held very close (within about 1/8th inch of tissue/nail surface).for a total exposure time of 10 minutes [approximately] per toenail. Actually this works out to be about 2.5 minutes per side of the nail, proper. No harm was caused by the occasional, accidental touching of the toenail/tissue surfaces. Although our arrangement was somewhat more elaborate (using 4 units in a single assembly) and allowed us to reduce the total time to less than 3 minutes per toenailtime is, probably, less expensive for mostthan assembling the more extensive array. One interesting phenomenon was that from among a family of presenting fungal agents (4 varieties, in total) NONE proved resistant to the control effects of the sodium bicarbonate. Interestingly, the sodium bicarbonate X DMSO , alone, yielded quite acceptable control---albeit over a rather extended period of time (10 to 12 days).adding the laser or LED ancillary function, dramatically accelerated the favorable response time (5 to 7 days). This protocol was employed 3 times daily for the first 3 days and twice daily thereafter. In the worst cases (where the entire under-surface of the nail was presenting an insult) the time required for favorable resolution was around 30 days. This was not the only protocol that proved effectivebut was by far the most COST-EFFECTIVE in both time and expense. This protocol proved to be simple, effective and economical.ideal for the DIY experimenter. Sincerely, Brooks Bradley. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Sealing the skin prevents the skin from breathing. The skin is our largest eliminative organ so not something that is good to seal. You need to be able to sweat out toxins. Sweating is essential to regular detox, even if you are not aware of it you are sweating through out the day. Eating a diet rich in essential fatty acids will keep skin moist. One tablespoon of Walnut Oil a day can make a big difference, it has almost 2,000 mg of Omega 3. Butter has Omega 6 in the activated form of Gamma Linolenic Acid. Cook with Ghee, clarified butter to avoid dairy protiens if you are sensitive to dairy. Emu Oil is a good moisturizer because it penetrates to subdermal layers and does not sit on top of the skin and seal it. Takes tiny amounts and totally soaks in, does not leave a greasy film. Fresh urine is the cheapest and best skin treatment, if you don't mind the concept. It is sterile and best of all always free and available. Also a great hair conditioner. The odor is not a problem as it disappears as it dries. Morning urine is a bit strong though, so 2nd void is probably more esthetic, although morning urine is more therapeutic. Makes the healthiest enema for ridding the colon of Candida and also a good soak for athletes' foot fungus. Best not to use urine if you are doing a lot of drugs, street or prescription due to possibly metabolite content. It is a 5,000 year old treatment in the pharmacopeia of all the indienous people on the planet. Seven different drugs are made from human urine including the clot busting drug urokinase. Silver inactivates the enzyme responsible for cellular respiration in single celled organisms. I do not know what enzyme that is. I read this on silver medicine.org - I think, it was a number of years ago. And I do not know if there is any proof. Except that no one I know has died from CS, killed their dog, cat, horse or other critters. On CS as birth control, my thought would be (a) that you were joking and (b) that it will not kill an ovum because it is a mammalian cell that has a different process of cellular respiration from single celled organisms. Obviously that is not happening to anyone we know. Right? Janet Ode Coyote wrote: CS only kills single celled organisms. I think it also depends on whether you are talking about single celled parasites or something more complex like a nematode. Protozoa are single celled. Janet MaryAnn Helland wrote: I have to cautiously disagree here. We have been succesfully treating our EPM horses with CS for years, the outcome of which is to put the disease into complete remission. EPM is a progressively debilitating protozoal infection, and the protozoa responsible very strongly resembles the parasite involved in Malaria -- so much so that many alternate health folks recommend using cinchona bark to treat EPM because cinchona bark is effective for treating malaria. However -- the question was *does colloidal silver kill parasites in the blood?* -- and it's the *in the blood* part that makes me hesitate. By the time that we realize that a horse has EPM, the protozoa (parasites) are in the spinal column causing the symptoms that make us aware that the horse is sick. No one is certain exactly how the protozoa get from the stomach to the spinal cord, but the bloodstream is likely. If we knew earlier that the horse was sick, it's entirely possible that CS administered earlier would kill the protozoa while they were still in the bloodstream -- since it apparently kills them when they are in spinal fluid and in tissue. So -- I would have to say that *it depends*. On exactly what parasites you're referring to? And taking Colloidal Silver orally typically resolves anything that it's going to, although I personally know of it being used intravenously successfully as well. I am a big fan of silica. I eat lots of onions, lightly cooked or raw for the silica content. It is also in greens and in some herbs that can be taken as teas or caps. Nettles, Oat Straw and Horse Tail aka Shave Grass are three of the highest content. It makes my hair and fingernails thicker, stronger and grow faster. So I am sure you are right about skin pliability. It is also essential to the absorption and utilization of Magnesium and Calcium. I have seen a specialized form suggested in heavy metal detox protocols of Dr Dietrich Klinghardt. http://www.ogonek.us/print_product_info.php?products_id=714 http://planetthrive.com/2010/04/hpukpu-protocol-for-lyme-and-autism/ Janet Shirley Reed wrote: Some, if not a most, of the symptoms of dry skin-scaly, patchy, wrinkly, etc.- is due to a silica deficiency. Re: CSDoes CS work on a skin rash
If it is after a shower and you are on city water you may be reacting to the chlorine or other toxins in city water. You might want to buy a shower filter if you are on city water. Most allergies and sensitivities are related to the gut and immune balance. The liver is part of this but liver dysfunction is an effect not a cause. Candida can also cause skin rashes, but where there is Candida over growth there is immune insufficiency for one reason or another. Fungus is an opportunist preying on a weakened organism. It is not the initial cause although given the right growth conditions, it can bring down a space station, as it did to Mer, so it is little wonder it can bring down a human body when other conditions have weakened the system. Skin reacts to irritants and allergens, and many times a rash is a histamine reaction to an allergen. When the body is in an inflamed state it becomes more sensitive so it depends on the overall state of health and oxidative stress levels. When excessive levels of Nitric Oxide are being produced in the mitochondria a complex chain of events occurs in the cell that can lead to allergies, immune insufficiency, cancer, cardiac disease, CFS, FM, MCS and neurotransmitter imbalances. One way to test for allergy to food is to mix it with a little distilled water and put a spot on the forearm, palm side, let it dry over night and check for a reaction in the morning. This is suggested in the GAPS diet protocol as a way to check for food sensitivity while the gut is in the process of healing from leaky gut syndrome. As the gut heals the sensitivities resolve, gradually and foods that were once problematic can be eaten. So I disagree that is is 'always' the liver although the Cytochrome P 450 proteins in the liver and elsewhere that detox the body can be deficient in high oxidative stress. This is not a liver problem per se, it is an oxidative stress problem, and is effecting heme protein synthesis in all cells not just liver. So addressing it as a liver issue alone will not heal this. Increasing Glutathione production may help but more anti-oxidants are needed, Co Q 10, Vit C, Vit E, Pycnogenol are a few that will help. If there are errors in heme metabolism then B6 and Zinc may be needed along with a host of supporting nutrients. One test is too look for Pyrroles in the urine. A hallmark is low stress tolerance and anxiety among others. It is a spectrum disorder so no absolute markers, and if tests for pyrroles are negative it dose not mean that is not in play, could just be that the test was done at a low stress time or that the sample was mishandled, as Pyrroles are heat and light labile. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pyrroluria Leaky gut allows partially digested food to get into inappropriate places in the peritoneal cavity where the immune system perceives it as foreign substance and reacts. When the gut wall is healed and no longer leaks then these food allergies and often chemical allergies are no longer active. This has nothing to do with the liver and everything to do with the health of the gut wall. Many feel that pyrroles may play a role, oxidative stress is present and the body of some genotypes are more susceptible, can't handle the sugars and high carbs, rancid fats, environmental chems, antibiotics . . . etc that other more functional genotypes are able to cope with. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/GAPShelp is a good list for learning about gut healing and food sensitivity. CSDMSO Gel Vs 99.9% Pure
Undiluted liquid from a Farm Supply is cheaper, but you will need to dilute to various concentrations depending on where you are using it. I use 5% in eyes and nose, 20% on head, neck or face, stronger on areas where the skin is not sensitive and there is some body fat underneath. Individual sensitivity can vary, so best to start low and work up, from 20%. I have used it 70 - 99% on my hands, for burns, when I did not have time to dilute it. But it does dry out your skin and makes it look funny. It releases Histamine from Mast Cells so until that local supply is depleted you will get redness and itching right after you apply it. Drying of the skin can also occur so moisturizing with Aloe Gel or Emu Oil, my favorite, is recommended. Emu Oil goes on dry and penetrates to subdermal layers, is non-comedogenic ( not greasy ) and takes very little. Gel is easy to apply, so is roll on. Gel works really well for animals because you can work it into the fur but you are paying more. I often use the liquid on my animals and just squirted it on with a syringe or painted it on with a clean brush. Some people like the gel for convenience. Always dilute with distilled water and ALWAYS add the DMSO to the water and never add water to concentrated DMSO, because it releases a lot of heat, enough to melt a plastic container. Re: CSWas: Dr. Simeon's hCG Diet; Is: homeopathic HCG link
Eating 500 calories a day would cause you to lose 20 lbs in 23 days without HCG, some of that is going to be water as electrolytes are lost from such a restricted diet, the body will not be able to hold the water in the tissues. It sounds very dangerous. Electrolyte imbalance can lead to heart failure. Janet Sandy wrote: From what I've read about this diet your hair falls out by the hand full and I'm just not up for that I do not care how over weight I was. I've also read of complaints about the wrinkles from such fast weight loss. I'm wondering how lasting the effects of this diet are? Do you gain most of the weight back once you're off of it? 500 calories a day is not a healthy way to lose weight in my opinion. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but I caution any who try this diet to research it thoroughly. The instructions say to go on a maintenance diet for the next 3 weeks then you wait some time before starting another round if you need to. Facebook has a good supportive group. It is very strict and restrictive but you are just not hungry. I did a lot of reading and psyching myself up to start it and am glad I did. I feel great. When I have used this method on skin tags and moles the appearance changes as they tissue is dying. The skin tags have turned black and crusty before falling off. The moles have gotten lighter and sloughed a layer at a time. The new growth of healthy skin is from the bottom up or inner areas to outer areas so it may look worse as it pushes the wart out because the wart tissue is dying. Re: CSstages of warts with cs
That's interesting about warts being a Zinc deficiency. I wonder if that is also true of skin tags and moles, all said to be caused by Human Papilloma Virus. Pyrrole Disorder is known to cause Zinc and B6 deficiency that can not be compensated by dietary sources and requires supplements to correct. The lack of Zn causes heavy metals to be substituted where Zn should be in the body, leading to a lack of excretion of the metals. Many Autistic kids test positive and benefit from treatment. It is associated with MCS, FM, CFS, MS, allergies, mood disorders, sun sensitivity, cancer, heart disease, immune imbalance toward Th-1, stress intolerance and auto immune disorders. It is thought to run in families. There is a urine test but since the treatment is with vitamins and minerals there is little funding for research. It's been documented since the 50's though through studies of groups in mental hospitals, some of whom recover from severe schizophrenia with simple B vitamin supplementation. 20% of the mood disorder population tests positive for high levels of urinary pyrroles. I started a new list on Yahoo and there are two new Facebook Groups on Pyrroluria, the old name for the disorder, due to the presence of high levels of pyrrole metabolites in the urine. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pyrroluria/ The list has a great many links to articles and treatment protocols as well as video presentations by known experts like Dietrich Klinghardt MD and Bill Walsh PhD, founder of the Pfeiffer Center in Chicago that treats mood disorders with vitamins and minerals. Janet Tony Moody wrote: Hi Lin, That is perfect. warts turn darker because wart has died and the blood vessels supplying the wart have dried. If you look closely 'through' the wart you may see tiny dots which are probably the dried up veins and arteries. The top of wart will soften and be sort of rub-offable. eventually the wart will fall off and there will be a smooth pink depression which will soon grow out completely. Try not to pick at it because you could possibly cause a wound and leave a scar. Said to be due to a zinc deficiency. The pool grade is dangerous if inhaled so would not be the best type to work with in treating mounds. It's due to the crystalline form of the silica in pool grade, being 85% due to heat treatment. It can cause silicosis of the lungs and probably other problems. Food Grade is less than 4% crystalline form so much safer although it is still a respiratory irritant and will make some people and animals cough, probably just due to the dustiness. Although chickens sure do seem to love to roll in it in the summer when lice are a problem for them. I have bought Food Grade 50# bags from organic garden suppliers. Janet Renee wrote: Hey PT. Magnesium and fluoride, for example, form an insoluble complex in vitro (6). Simultaneous administration of magnesium and fluoride by gastric intubation has been shown to significantly reduce skeletal uptake of fluoride by growing rats (7, 8), which may explain why high dietary magnesium appears to ameliorate fluorosis in guinea pigs (9). On the other hand, Spencer et al. (10) were unable to demonstrate a significant effect of orally administered magnesium oxide on either fecal or urinary fluoride excretion in human volunteers. Factors that may account for this apparent discrepancy between animal and human studies include the age of the test subject, level and chemical form of magnesium and route of administration of fluoride and magnesium. In the human study, for example, subjects were adults, whereas studies of the magnesium and fluoride relationship in rats occurred during a period of rapid growth. Animal studies involving gastric intubation utilized water-soluble magnesium chloride and the magnesium and fluoride were administered together, whereas in the human study magnesium was insoluble magnesium oxide and the magnesium and fluoride were not simultaneously present in the diet. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. A household filter that uses the technology to remove pesticides from water has been developed. - Steve N http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/News/2007/April/20040701.asp Pesticide filter debuts in India A domestic water filter that uses metal nanoparticles to remove dissolved pesticide residues is about to enter the Indian market. Its developers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chennai (formerly Madras) believe it is the first product of its kind in the world to be commercialised. Mumbai-based Eureka Forbes Limited, a company that sells water purification systems, is collaborating with IIT and has tested the device in the field for over six months. Jayachandra Reddy, a technical consultant to the company, expects the first 1000 units to be sold door-to-door from late May. 'Our pesticide filter is an offshoot of basic research on the chemistry of nanoparticles,' Thalappil Pradeep who led the team at IIT Chennai told Chemistry World. He and his student Sreekumaran Nair discovered in 2003 that halocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) completely break down into metal halides and amorphous carbon upon reaction with gold and silver nanoparticles1. Pradeep said this prompted them to extend their study to include organochlorine and organophosphorous pesticides, whose presence in water is posing a health risk in rural India. In research funded by the Department of Science and Technology in New Delhi, his team found2,3 that gold and silver nanoparticles loaded on alumina were indeed able to completely remove endosulfan, malathion and chlorpyrifos - three pesticides that have been found at elevated levels in Indian water supplies. Use and recycle The mechanism of removal is 'adsorption followed by catalytic destruction', Pradeep explained. 'The chemistry occurs in a wide concentration range of environmental significance.' He added that tests proved silver particles from the filter are not released into the water. The IIT study found that gold particles perform better in the case of endosulfan. However, for cost reasons, the commercialised filters use only silver particles, which range in size from 60 to 80 nanometres at a concentration (on their alumina support) of 33 parts per million. 'Based on consumption patterns of a typical Indian household, the filter is designed to have enough nanomaterials to provide 6000 litres of pesticide-free water for one year,' Pradeep said. 'After that, the company will recycle the filters to recover the silver.' Use of nanoparticles for environmental remediation is an emerging area of research worldwide. Nanoscale iron powders had been shown to degrade other pesticides, including DDT and lindane4, 'and there are reports about the use of nanomaterials for removing arsenic, heavy metals and fluorides,' said Pradeep. 'But ours is the first product to hit the market,' he said. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Although Naltrexone is a drug, the site is not about drug treatment for MS. It is about how this unique effect of blocking opioid receptors for 4-6 hours a day results in a rebound modulation of the immune system. There may also be effects on oxidative stress through Nitric Oxide and also DNA replication. The drug is a shift in paradigm. It increases Met-5-enkephaline which is natural and can be used, aka Opioid Growth Factor is costs $3,000 a month and does not have the full range of benefits. It has saved many with MS from the terrible side effects and costs of the CRAB drugs. Their MS stops progressing in 90% of the cases. There are now studies and many case histories, some who have been taking LDN for over five years. It is a super low dose and has a huge margin of safety. Some MS patients take as little as 2 mg, others are using 0.5 mg once a week for immune balancing. FM is relieved, Crohns, Austism, AIDS . . . any immune system disorder may respond. The drug is out of patent so there is no profit motive to push this treatment. It is all patient driven. Natural is good, but if you broke your arm would you allow it to heal naturally? I'm not saying not to use natural means, many who take LDN do, and the doctors generally are holistic with an emphasis on diet and nutriceuticals. Where there is sensible safe treatment it never hurts to investigate. Janet carolG wrote: Is site drug oriented for MS? Re: CSMultiple Sclerosis; infant acid reflux
I will always support natural healing methods over pharmaceuticals. smile But I am not going to throw the baby out with the bath water. However many natural substances are also chemicals so to me there is not so much a line in the sand over where the substance originated as in how it acts in the body. Given a choice I go for the sustainable, available and safe-er approach. In the case of Low Dose Naltrexone, if there were a substance that was natural that would have the same effect I would be all over it. At this point there is not, and when I see that some people with MS might still be walking had they found it a year or so earlier, I can't help but want to ensure that everyone at least knows that it is available. There are many who would not consider natural means until they had experience LDN and the holistic approach of the practitioners that prescribed it for them. Some doors swing both ways. And yes I have heard of Epilepsy being cured ! and MS going into complete remission. As well as the myelin sheath regrowing in MS. I might also mention that if you take vitamins they are chemicals, many are synthetic and therefore they are also drugs. Colloidal silver is a mineral but none of us would have access to it were it not for batteries, electricity, and many other artificial substances and devices. I think it is easy to get hung up on the small picture and miss that what is important is that we heal with the most ease, safety and comfort, not that we never use something synthetic. I let them make their own choices and they go the drug route alwaysthey know my position, but I am not the parents...I'm cool with that...millions of kids have infant acid reflux...very epidemic too... CSRe: Silica and DE
There was a discussion some weeks ago on the absorption of silica and other trace minerals from Diatomaceous Earth. Because DE is high in Aluminum I found this thought somewhat alarming and decided to contact the manufacturer of Food Grade DE in the US, PermaGuard. http://perma-guard.com/index.html After speaking with Perma Guard about my concerns that Aluminum is present in significant amounts according to their published analysis, I was referred to the biochemist who did the analysis that appears on their website, Dr Galen Knight. Dr Knight has published these results and told me that if there is any absorption it is negligible, in other words not a significant source of Silica or any of the trace minerals in the DE. http://www.westonaprice.org/environmental-toxins/1447-mad-as-a-hatter.html Microscopic live cell analyses of blood taken from individuals who have detoxed using food-grade diatomaceous earth for many months display little evidence that the particles make their way intact into the blood. Hair analyses of these individuals display normal or even slightly low amounts of silica. This evidence, combined with a very low trace and toxic mineral content (usually in parts per million), supports the concept that diatomaceous earth works by removing toxins that poison the immune and regulatory functions, rather than by adding trace minerals that support these processes. Janet RE: CSSilica and DE Norton, Steve Wed, 16 Jun 2010 15:03:48 -0700 My understanding is that the bioavailability of silicate is mostly dependent on its solubility. That would put DE in the low bioavailability arena (along with zeolite). I mentioned it once before, but did not go into detail, that I use sodium silicate as a silicate source. I originally chose sodium silicate as an alkalizing source for the body. It is an effective alkalizer that is low cost and readily available while it is also a bioavailable source of silicate. Calcium silicate might be a better choice but it is not as readily available. As with all strong alkalizers, care to properly dilute it should be taken when using it. Following is some info on silicate sources. - Steve N http://www.epa.gov/opp1/biopesticides/ingredients/tech_docs/brad_072 606.pdf FDA has determined that sodium silicate and potassium silicate can be used interchangeably. Sodium silicate has been determined to be GRAS (Generally-Recognized as Safe) by FDA (21 CFR 182.90 and 21 CFR 182.1711) for limited use in canned potable water as a corrosion inhibiting agent. Potassium silicate is also used as a corrosion inhibitor for potable water, with the use rate for municipal water supplies at 8 parts per million. Sodium silicate has been is exemption from requirement of a tolerance when used as an inert ingredient in pre and postharvest pesticide products (40 CFR 180.910). Sodium silicate can be used as an inert as a surfactant, emulsifier, wetting agent, stabilizer, inhibitor, while there is not a food use inert tolerance exemption for potassium silicate. Silica is also approved by the FDA for use as an anti-caking agent in food. http://www.usana.com/media/File/dotCom/company/science/crb/4CRB.pdf This double blind, prospective crossover study involved six healthy male volunteers. It compared the bioavailability (absorption/ urinary excretion) of silicon derived from three sources: calcium silicate (specifically, calcium salt of silicic acid), horsetail grass, and silicon amino acid complex. Results from this study indicate that, with respect to bioavailability, calcium silicate is a superior source of nutritional silicon. Supplementation with 20 mg of silicon as silicon amino acid complex or powdered horsetail grass gave only small (2.4-2.5 mg) increases in 10-hour urinary silicon excretion over baseline. These amounts represented only about 12% of the silicon administered. By contrast, the calcium silicate supplement increased urinary calcium excretion by 10.1 mg over baseline, representing a full 50% of the silicon administered. As such, the silicon in the calcium silicate appears to be about four times more bioavailable than the silicon supplied by the other two sources. The following study looked at the bioavailability of silicate in beer. Sodium silicate was used as the comparative standard. http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayFulltext?type=1fid=913048j id=BJNvolumeId=91issueId=03aid=913036 A solution of orthosilicic acid (OSA) was prepared the day before the study by adding 450 mg of the sodium silicate solution into 2*5 litres UHP water and by adjusting the pH to 7-7*2 with 5M-HCl to give an approximate Si concentration of 35 mg/l. The ultrafilterability of Si from beer (about 80 %) and its absorption in volunteers (about 55 %) was comparable with that of a solution of OSA suggesting that Si in beer is present chiefly in a monomeric form and is readily bioavailable. http://www.optimox.com/pics/Cogimax/BioActiveS/BioActSilicate.htm The

I looked at the pdf and it does not indicate if the B12 or D3 tested for solubility was a sublingual form. I would assume that it was not. SL forms are water soluble and would therefore dissolve in DMSO. The original directions for making a transdermal B12 using DMSO were to use SL Tablets. Re: CSInfo on Yeast treatments
One of the challenges in treating Candida over growth is getting the supplements or treatments to the yeast. Much of it occurs in areas that are difficult to get to in any concentration. Enemas can help because they can reach areas of the colon more effectively. Allergies and Candida by Rochlitz is a very good book that includes some meridian balancing maneuvers easily done at home. They helped me a great deal. I also used urine enemas. For more on that there is a list on Yahoo. I read a book called Your Own Perfect Medicine by Christy after hearing of some curing their MCS using this method. MCS can sometimes be caused by Leaky Gut Syndrome from Candida.
