Hi Sandy,

Lugol's solution consists of 5 g iodine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iodine

This is what I did with Iosol. My patch disappeared in 15 minutes so I started
using it. Since I had all the s/s of being hypothyroid but not the TSH I
painted it right over my thyroid. I never got to a point where it stayed on
the skin more than an hour or two. After a few months and a noticeable nodule
my doc wanted an ultrasound and it showed I had several nodules. Two years or
so later I was dx with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Just recently I was given an
article indicating that using iodine can lead to Hashimoto's.

Hi Lisa,

You're very welcome. I have not made the iodine yet because at this point it
causes me headache and heart palpitations [I tried taking Iodoral and
Magnascent]. I figure my thyroid and adrenals are in very poor shape and has a
hard time dealing with the iodine. At this time I'm taking natural Seagreens [1

I will make my own.

I think it's great that you're making your own iodine and I believe is the best

   Hi Sandy,
I cannot comment on the headaches but the heart
palpitations could be because you don't need the
 extra
iodine and it pushes your thyroid too much which then
 can
  cause the heart palpitations.

Yes, potassium in this case.

BTW today I was at the doctor's and had him take out
500 ml of blood. After that my blood pressure was
at 130/82, in the ideal range. It had gone up quite
badly in the last very stressful months.

Tried last week to donate blood, after I had read how
well that works against high BP, but they wouldn't
take me because of a lyme infection earlier this years.

Another thing that was successful for me was 10 bottles
of EDTA last year. After that I had to quit the BP
pills, because I would get too dizzy.

I would have gone back for more, but can't afford it
at the moment. If your Dad can afford EDTA, this would
be ideal, in my opinion. Not only brings BP down, but
also opens the blood vessels. All circulation related
problems go away - bad hearing, bad vision, ED,
smoker's legs etc. etc. Saves a heart bypass operation.

I believe an alternative to cutting down on salt is to increase ones
pure water consumption. What is important is the ratio of the two, if

Depends what method they're using - keyhole or opening the rib cage - do you
know? (As to the size of the wound)

Highly unlikely the wound will be uncovered to allow anyone other than in
actual surgery to put anything on it at all - wait til you get him home and
then use it, internally externally. If you had hoped for this to be used in
surgery it is very unlikely - unless he is allergic they usually still use
Betadine or some Iodine based preparations.

MA-
When my husband was in for by-pass surgery I took my cs every day in a water
type bottle.
That way no questions were asked. I also took my small sprayer and after they
prepped him
for surgery and left the room I then sprayed his chest very well with the cs
and did not dry
it off so it could sit there a few. I sprayed him multiple times everyday
after surgery and there
were infections in other rooms but he fortunately did not get it. They may
give you a problem
about the gel.

I also made sure that I used a lot of cs on myself whenever I was taking care
of him. He is
doing great at this time and prayers were answered. We will keep you in our
prayers for
your husband. Watching your husband go thru something like this isn't easy.
