Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.4 Track Info Display
Okay, I give, I don't know why it did the "tmp:///P:..." stuff in that playlist! I just did a couple of test new playlists on both my 7.9.4 (after it just updated today) and my 8.0 systems and it generated the playlists the way I would have expected "P:\Mp3 Music\...". Again, all music is local and I generate from Material skin by adding songs from the Album Artist display in the left pane clicking the Plus sign on each track to add it to the playlist in the right pane and periodically saving. I guess I'll have to chalk this up to "one of the mysteries of the world"! And the UTF8 w/BOM is working just fine. So again, I'm clueless as to what was going on before! Again, sorry for the noise. The Radiotime problem as stated in the first post is that stations play but you do not get Station logos ? The Radionet problems is that station do not play from a Jiveplay UI (i.e. LMS just display the URL) - if they do not play then LMS will not even try to display a logo as there is nothing playing so there is no problem relating to Logo The question is whether station log still do not appear for you when you are playing a Radiotime Favorite bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112934 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

It got so annoying waiting for the PC to become available every time I wanted to play music I was only too happy to try a Squeezeplug on a Dockstar so I could leave it on continuously. From there via an Odroid I ended up with a Pi and find it so much more convenient than Windows ever was. Max2Play and piCorePlayer make the jump to Linux relatively painless. Of course lots of users only use MySqueezebox.com and they might be the ones that give up as more and more radio stations disappear from the service. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Help - LMS / Tidal has become skippy
Now everything works again. I tend to think that most probably the cure was a complete reset of the ADSL router, although I did also disable all LMS plugins Im not using, set the network radio station buffer and timeout values to maximum( 30s), disable AAC format, and set Squeezeplay to proxied streaming. Each step seemed to make the Tidal stream better, but it was only after the router reset that it started to work without skipping tracks. I still get the occasional buffering and timeout, but on the whole its liveable. Thanks to all of you who gave this problem some thought. Hopefully this will help someone out in the future. It can't last and maybe we need a strategy to retreat to the linux platforms? As I discovered earlier this year the Pi-based solutions are really easy and really satisfying. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] UPnP/DLNA Media Interface stops working after a while
Hi, I'm currently running LMS 7.9.4 on a Raspi 3B+ (max2play) with UPnP Media Interface plugin activated. Basically, everything is working well and DLNA performance (seen from DLNA "only" clients) is quite nice. But after a while of operation, days or somethimes weeks, all of a sudden the DLNA server disappears from the network, whereas all other LMS functionality is unaffected. Further, there are no debug logs from the plugin itselve when logging is activated. Only logs about regular DLNA access. Since LMS server seems to stop repsonding to network broadacast from DLNA clients performing device discovery (SSDP), it must be hanging at the lowest-level. I'm not familiar with LMS architecture, but I'd guess the problem resides at the core LMS portion handling network connections (to respond to discovery requests, right?), and not inside the Media Interface plugin. (That's why there aren't any debug log messages, I'd guess) This said, I've got some questions: - Is there a way to activate debug logging for the lowest level DLNA code, too? - How to debug such problems in general? - Is there a way to reset (the plugin or DLNA status) without restarting the server (no interruptions!)? This issues is really annoying, since it's something only I can fix. Other users in my house are blocked. (I do not want my small kids to configure or restart LMS!) Though I think that, for me, it's really "all about the music", and there are household members here who observe that I seem to spend more time fiddling with the Squeeze-systems innards, than listening to Beethoven... Those same household members - dearly loved - are stoutly opposed to yet more boxes, wires, lights, and general kit in the home! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8.0 repository problem
Heavens - this has sent a small chill through my Win10 heart! I can perhaps add that, over the years, I've "evangelised" the Squeezebox world to many friends, and been their (very simple) tech support. Almost all Win, a few Mac. I think that now, without exception, they have moved to other systems (largely Sonos..) as Squeeze has become legacy, and "just too much faff" for them. Not sure what I would do if one day the Community here (and what a wonderful lot you are!) dropped Windows support...
