I had the same problem. As Mary Bull indicated, this was fixed in the

apparently (by my observation) some tbuuser.defs have become
corrupted. I will repeat what I just posted under the topic RARed
betas reset Menu shortcuts:

I tried to modify a few Menu shortcuts and I ended up with multiple
blank spots in my menus. I tried several times with the same result
after hitting reset on the menu bar.

Resolved: I had to delete my tbuser.def and allow it to be recreated.
Then I could modify it as it normally should. Apparently somewhere
along the line my tbuser.def got corrupted. Perhaps this explains a
part of the anomalies I was experiencing.

I will keep an eye on TB and see if it's memory footprint continues to

Recreating the tbuser.def file resolves the issue, but how many
settings will I have to restore now? I seem to recall that a similar
problem was resolved once before without forcing users to recreate
their tbuser.def file.

Furthermore, how did my tbuser.def file get corrupted? Presumably it
happened when I tested OTFE by backing up and restoring in the effort
to migrate. So somewhere, there is a process in TB that is corrupting
this file.

According to the repair listing I just mentioned, it was not being

Yes, but that means that the cleanup is not taking place correctly
with new versions.

Anyway, thanks for helping to track down the problem, Wayne. I think

The tbuser.def files seem to be quite prone to corruption. I guess
that's testimony to how they're being changed as you customise. Mine was
completely corrupted at one point and was the source of many AV's. I had
to delete it and start clean. My current one already has a slight
corruption, but I'm getting by without having to start clean yet again.

One way to assist with this debugging is to submit the problem
tbuser.def file for examination. They should be able to see where the
problem is and hence how and when the corruption occurred.

I told you all I know about it. I am very much a novice using TB. Only
recently did I start to dive in to some of the more advanced features.

I did not have a lot of customization, so I simply deleted tbuser.def and
allowed TB to recreate it upon restart. I then added the few

there is a customiser available, where You can use Hidden item, but
current version doesn't allow to hide group, only items can be hided.
AFAIK this will be fixed, group will be hided automatically, when all

MM But if was tbuser.def created by old betaversion with this item
MM included, it can't be automatically hided by new build, current
MM version can't delete only part of tbuser.def.

MM Now You have more ways to solve this:

MM - delete part from tbuser.def manually:
MM close TB
MM open tbuser.def
MM find following part:

hr
container item [MailerForm].[mWizards]
{
  item [MailerForm].[Wizards]
  hr
  item [MailerForm].[mwDownloadWizards]
}
MM delete it

Instead of item [MailerForm].[mwDownloadWizards] I had another
hr there. Anyway, deleted the part and my meny now looks fine!
Thanks.

One little remark: I first forgot to delete the last }. Of course
this meant unbalanced brackets and caused an error when opening TB.
The effect was that TB didn't open but (after the splash screen)
Windows suggested I should send an error message to MicroSoft. Just
saying, this kind of runtime error should be checked by TB, even
though it wouldn't usually happen.

MM Enjoy :-)

Doing so greatly. :-)
