I had in mind it would work like SB Touch "remote navigation sounds/clicks" so just from main/std outputs I have hifiberry dac+pro hat so from that in my case but I guess generally from primary sound source.. I naively assume it would be case of: if there is IR /licrc command /signal or smth then play sound(wav or mp3 of click etc) .. But like I said its navie assumption as I got no idea how things works ubderhood and if its anything more complicated then I completely agree it's not point spending time on this as its little payback indeed :) thanks 3x Squeezebox Touch, 4x Squeezebox Radio, Squeezelite (RPi 3B with HiFiBerry DAC+Pro on OSMC), Material Skin Apk, Squeeze Commander, Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 with Material Skin (Docker in DS218+) Jaca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58187 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi, I've added IR sensor for remote operation and it works fine, but was wondering if there is an option in PcP to have audible remote "clicks"? I don't have screen on rpi3 so it would be handy to hear if remote signal was registered. I personally would advise against going with multi boot. Although it seems like smart idea, it can actually creates headaches. From my experience it's better to keep it simple and if you really want to use rpi for dual etc purpose get another sd card.. Ideally you want dedicated rpi always on LMS.. If you really need a multi boot, I believe you can request image from Berryboot.. Saying that please remember you will need new image when you wanna update. (Unless smth changed since I tried it.) Regarding library question.. I'm not entirely sure what you meant, but you can create Library Views which basically separate your library into smaller chunks with all tracks meeting certain criteria.. No need to rely on playlists. Assuming you are new.. Please check material Skin plugin which allows for quick library view switching. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 7.0.0
Hi apologies if this was already answered, I gave up search after 20 minutes cos although there is lots about Bluetooth I can't find my case.. I have upgraded my ancient tv to android tv so retired libreelec (with squeezelite) on my RPi 3b+ which now runs pCP for only audio duties.. Main pCP role works great (expect player name reverting to picoreplayer for some reason) but as new tv hasn't got analog audio output and my old hifi hasn't got optical/digital audio inputs, I was hoping to use pCP as Bluetooth sink...until I'm in position to upgrade hifi.. It seems to work initially but is not really reliable.. If I disconnect tv is not able to reconnect automatically.. Only restart of deamon seems to help.. Also a/v us out of sync so I guess pCP is not reporting latency to tv which should take care of sync.. (option for that is enabled on tv) BTW I have used old slow 2gb sd card as AFAIK pCP runs from memory but then when setting up a Bluetooth there was another partition created? Hmm could slow sd card have negative impact on Bluetooth.. Also.. RPi is connected using WiFi (5ghz)but I think 3b+ had resolved the problem of WiFi /Bluetooth interface.. Is my Bluetooth sink plan achievable at all? Hey Michael, Just tried to do another docker LMS update on synology.. All previous updates went all smooth to the point that I was surprised some people are having permissions issues.. But.. Now trying latest dev image I'm in same boat.. Unable to read/ access my library.. Also problems with Spotty (constant buffering) /config has same settings as previous versions.. Also same settings on dsm.. Stopped latest dev image and 2 previous 8.2.0 versions (I still haven't deleted) work just fine. Is there smth like major change in terms of permissions or that's just nature of dev branch ie teething problems? Shall I just stick to stable 8.1.x? As you have mentioned Synology ; I have simply and successfully updated LMS by 1. Downloading new docker image 2. Stopping existing container and turning off auto restart 3. Launching new image with identical settings (pointing to same config folder location) as existing Optionally backup /config folder beforehand (I do that daily anyway), then delete old container. All done with synology GUI docker and worked just fine. With docker you are only providing access to specific shared folders and as read only.. Just to double check you are aware you not actually change any folder structure or duplicate data with symlink? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] 'Official' docker container for LMS?
I read your message again and it seems like you are referring to LMS mapping when describing symlink.. You still need to map your "music folder" to /music in LMS.. but your "Music folder" should contain synlink to your "Music Folder 2" .. "Music Folder 3" etc, (btw This symlink(s) need to survive reboot. Have a look at video link from earlier.. ) As Example see shared folders structure below: Volume1 -Backup -Music1 --Artist1 --Artist2 -Music2 --Artist4 -Music3 --Artist5 -Video If you create Synlinks for Music2 and Music2 in Music1 folder then you will see Volume1 -Backup -Music1 --Artist1 --Artist2 --Music2 (symlink) ---Artist4 --Music3 (symlink) ---Artist5 -Music2 --Artist4 -Music3 --Artist5 -Video Then you map Volume1/Music1 to /music in LMS and content of all 3 Music folders should be accessible in LMS.. That's how it works on mine anyway. 3x Squeezebox Touch, 3x Squeezebox Radio, Squeezelite (RPi with HiFiBerry DAC+Pro), Material Skin Apk, Squeeze Commander, Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 with Material Skin Jaca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58187 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111828 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
