American radio is segregated into different genres, you have country, Top 40
which plays a combination of rap, dance, the popular rock tunes, alternative
rock, classic rock, hispanic
Well, there is an audience for it but in small pockets around the nation
(and it is a BIG nation). We had a _very_successful pirate radio station
here in Minneapolis that played house music 24-7 but it was shut down by
the FCC goons. Well, it wasn't interfering with anyone's signal but it was

I was talking pure US house/garage, not trance or offshoots. A lot of people
lament the lack of a US audience for that. I even read it in a Frankie
Knuckles interview. It's very consistently stated. Of course I realise
trance/progressive has charted.

magda. its not every thursday, but pretty regular.
there's occasioal shows at empty bottle. stewart walker and thomas
fehlmann were both this past month.
unfortunately, there's rarely more than 50 people at any of these shows.
