the best (only?) detroit wildpitch release: dance fever 'out on the dancefloor' (piled witch mix). although that feeling might not be univerally shared - i have cleared a dancefloor with it. as much as i love the wild pitch sound, it wasn't a sound that had much potential to grow and mutate.

That is due to the lame IRDA connector which spreads noise into a soundcard input you can't switch off using Dell's drivers. There's a generic AC97 driver which works fine and let's you turn off all the crap you don't want. Or if you're adressing the groundnoise issue due to the powersupply,
