Enterasys vs Cisco
What are you looking at using them for? I've used their
outdoors wireless solutions for shots of a couple miles between buildings with
very good success.

Hi –
Has
anyone had good or bad experiences with Enterasys networking equipment? We are
planning to go with Cisco, but some Enterasys sales folks promise twice the
performance at half the price. (ok, maybe not quite that good but….)
Any
thoughts?
Thanks.

Ok, Sue, you know that when you leave a dangling diss like that someone is
going to ask you to support it ;-)
Beyond the connectors coming undone (something I have not experienced with
Dell desktop SATA), do you have specific criticisms about the Dell towers?
Thanks -- we are about to buy severa

The assumption for us is that there is also a file and

The solitaire thing is a whole angle I did not consider. Is
a DC required for solitaire? What about a virtual MP3 player running in cached
mode? Ok. I'm clearly ready for the weekend ;-) Thanks for all the thoughts,
Right, the Host does not _have_ to be a member of the
domain. However, the white paper makes references to securing the directories
that contain the vhd and the NTDS.DIT (in the DC-as-VS model) for domain admins,
implying that it should be a member of the domain. And, as you said Rick, the

Unfortunately, deploying the DC at HQ or simply
authenticating over the WAN is not really an option. The WAN links are ok (and
