Hello,
I tried to install amavis-new 2.6.4 on my SlackWare 13.0 system.
Used CPAN to install all the modues mentioned nin INSTALL.
But amavis refuses to run with the message:

Do you mean open or edit? ;-) Why don't they want small but necessary
modifications?
Well as far as amavis goes, one could argue the configuration file is a
part
nothing to do with the by line in the lower
header. (I would have liked to see [217.95.30.242] as the second log
entry, or simply an empty entry if it was not sure.)
If I feed such mails to spamcop they recognize the fraud, but I guess
amavis (still?) doesn't.
Best regards,

Hi guys,
I just setup a Postfix + Amavis server a while back (after finally
getting away from a Qmail installation I really didn't like).
I'm using virtual domains, and a few other fancy features (like database

As I'm running Cyrus as a local mailserver, I looked up the mails in the
filesystem and they are displayed wrong there too (i.e. ß gets converted
to two bit, an A with a swung dash above and an inverted question mark
as second char). This should be unicode, utf8.
For a test I disabled amavis

Thanks, everything went smoothly automagically. The mails

Can the left unpacked temporary files for amavis just be

Glad to hear it all worked out
