to large in resistance then there will
be phase shifts that may cause the scope pattern to look funny. If the
resistance values are too low then it will load the modulation XFMR more
than you want to. Avoid wire wound resistors as the inductance causes phase
shifts at higher frequencies.

ting compound while it sets up.
HOWEVER: I'd hesitate to use RTV as some of it is quite conductive based
on proper curing times, and pigmentations. If RTV is used, I'd be
inclined to getting the clear variety and letting it cure for a day or two
to be sure all the acetic acid is expell
tinkers, I love it.

little circuit change up with some HV switches might be in order here?
Any Ideas on this?

BTW the stock plate RF choke in the SB200 is NOT large enough on 75 mtr
and a lot of RF gets back into the PS causing weird AC modulation at low
carr
ned (especially in thoriated
filaments, which depend on replenishment of thorium by diffusion from within
the filament wire). A few researchers have observed that the lifetime of an
oxide-cathode tube can be greatly increased by operating its heater at 20%
below the rated voltage.

separated by an insulating material which is;
1. A result of a chemical change at the surface of the foil.
Or
2. The metal foil is already coated with an insulating paint which is not
penetrated by the electrolyte?
I think it is the first

PS:
Using the term
that a lot of the components are of the wrong value or
miss wired due to previous service. If anyone has a wiring diagram and
parts list that I could use then I will sing your praises and send a message
to your wife telling her not to talk bad about you, ETC.

efore was
laid in the can like an accordion.
I don't get it.
I guess I have never actually examined these darn things before but I did
this time because I wanted to replace the insides of the cans with modern
electrolytic capacitors thereby hiding the modification.
Still learning
