My daughter, who is a new ham has just given up on trying SO-50. 5 times now
she has set up the station to work someone and the moment she unkeys, there is
someone calling and not listening. We here, have a TS-2000 with az-el setup and
2 yagis with auto tracking. I totally agree with the
it. With new operators showing up
on the birds every day, there is always a need for an uncommon grid. And you
will have a lot of fun doing it! Just ask anyone on my list.

Peter will be battery powered using a FT-817 and a Arrow antenna. QSL via

about that. Now I don't do much EME as I don't have any power, but
I've monitored EME and this seems to get me pretty close. I will also be
glad to see what others do to calibrate.

down pretty low. This is a great opportunity. He was worked on FO-29.

Currently, the only way that AMSAT-NA seems to be able to work with non-US
citizens is via NASA which can more easily obtain the required approvals.

superstructure or unobstructed to/from the antennas.
For the voice contacts we've always recommended a pre-amp at the antenna,
even more so now, but I'm not sure how packet has been effected if at all
with the change in radios.
Anyway, it sounds like you are having fun. Keep it up!
