When you use multiple operators to construct qualification criteria,
they are evaluated in the following order:
1. |( )|
2. |NOT (!) -| (unary minus)
3. |* / %|
4. |+ -|
5. | = = = != LIKE|
6. |AND ()|
7. |OR (||)|

Hi all!,
I'm working with ITSM 7, Patch 7.
Do someone know how to leave the values after submitting a Request in
HPD:Helpdesk form. I mean, when I submit a ticket, (default) all the values
return to blank values in order to submit a new Request, but I want to leave
the previous values in modify
Firstly, thanks Ben,
but I've tried that last week, the problem is that when you set this value,
the mode continues being New, not Modify, that means, the application
thinks that you'll submit a new Request with the same values.
Thanks.

From any console, you can click Application Preferences from the
General Functions section of the navigation pane.
On the Incident Management tab, in the Form section, select Reopen in

Hi,
I hate to compare Remedy to a spreadsheet, but that is probably the best way
to explain this concept. When Remedy creates a form, the database table for
that form has 1 defined index. It is the only clustered index for that
form/table. That index is for the Request ID (field id #1)

What is the best way to move the arerrror.log file to some archive directory
when it becomes a really large file without re-starting the system.
What we are doing to move the file when it becomes big is as follows:
We are using Linux SUSE 10 OS.
cp arerror.log arerror.log.bak
cp /dev/null
Write a cron job to copy and concatinate the file to a archive location and
touch the original file to empty its contents..
You would also manually need to go through the archived file and touch it every

Marc, you connect EIE to the underlying Remedy database. Find the table
that you want to EIE to and add it to EIE. Then move the data to that
table. Be careful, there may be workflow that runs when the data would
be entered normally, through the user tool.

Hi,
A couple of more thing...
There were also talk of collapsible panes. When you collapse/expand a
pane, the form will be shrunk or expanded accordingly.
You will be able to put more functionality, such as buttons or pictures,
within table fields.
You will also be able to create column-based

Hello everyone:
Well, I'm about to reveal my ignorance here, but I need some help
configuring a Home Page on my midtier. Honestly I've never messed with

Try disabling the workflow on your Init-Form that opens the form and use
the Home-Page: ar server setting instead. Multiple clicks to the home

Hello everyone:
Does anyone know if there's a bug in selection lists in the 7.0 Midtier?
We have workflow that sets customer info from the Active Directory by
pulling from a vendor form. If a user wants to open a ticket for, say,
Wally Cleaver, he goes to the Last Name field, types Cleaver,
Do you have more than 1 view on the Vendor form? The Mid-Tier may be
using a different view (so a different results list) than the User Tool.
Also double check your field permissions on the Vendor form.
Fred
From: Action Request System discussion
Nope...just one view, and permissions are set correctly.

Marc, I've only done external database to Remedy EIE exchanges.
Apparently EIE can connect to flat files and XML so that may be a good

The EIE documentation should tell you what kind of connections you can

Include the request ID field in your table.
Run IF col1 = $NULL$
where col1 is the Request ID field in the table. It may be col2 or 3
or a custom name. I usually rename my table columns to something
like colRQSTID.
Then my Run If statement would be colRQSTID = $NULL$

Marc,
One limitation with EIE/AIE will however be attachment fields (if any). I
guess if you can deal with that, you can try playing around with it. DSO
would not have that limitation.
