Hi,
Take a look at RRR|Chive, it is free, and can move delta-data between
servers directly. It is both very fast and robust.
You have to know what you want to move though...
Come and see the RRR|Chive session at WWRUG10 for a tutorial.

Hi Friends,
Finally the issue with installation of CMDB 7.6.03 is resolved. It was the
network BW which was causing this issue during the import of CMDB.def. By
increasing it, installation went fine.
Thanks to all for providing valuable information to me and ofcourse to
arslist also.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your insights. But specifying an ID would lead to the same
error. However when I reset the character field length (i.e. manually
setting length of 254 instead of using the default) I am able to save the
class. But when I go back to the BMC_ComputerSystem_ regular or the

Sam,
You'll be fine. When I went last year, I had only been working with ITSM
for not even 2 years. At my company, I am involved with both the
business process and technical implementations of ITIL and the ITSM

Best argument I can think of is that it's twice as valuable as a training
class, and half the cost. I regularly spend my OWN time and money to attend
this for that reason, and I know I am not the only one who does.

And of all the places in Vegas I have been, the casino part of the HRH is
rather unimpressive. Not thousands of tables and machines, the poker room
sucks, and it's half a mile from the strip. Of course, some might be
entertained at the pools, which I am told are pretty...scenic. But the only

I personally prefer to stay with the default Android browser, which is based on

Yeah, I think the only native ITSM app. I would recommend running on a

Aeroprise and MobileReach are great alternatives and provide great solutions to

For those of us that are completely home grown, it just seems that we should be
able to access forms through the MidTier with a native webkit browser.

Brien,
Thank you for your reply and for taking the time to test this. Can you
explain the 'get relationship'? I cannot find a reference to this in
either the Form/Apps manual or the Workflow manual.
I'm doing another log, including a SQL log. I use SQL Navigator to
look at the table more
Sorry, I meant Show Relationships. You right-click a field in
Developer Studio and choose this from the menu. This feature is only
available on newer AR System versions-- and you have to enable it in the
server configuration: record object relationships. It makes it much
easier to track

How does your company categorize DNS changes in Change Mgmt? Do you have it

Does your company have a criticality level for these? Do you differentiate

Well, you are obviously managing DNS changes, so that means that there needs
to be some way of classifying them. However, they aren't technically
objects, so that makes them difficult to manage as CIs, unless you want to
manage them as server attributes or something. So it would seem that having

We are managing DNS changes, but not classifying them correctly. I wasn't sure
if others were tracking these. You're correct, since they are not objects it
is difficult to add them as CIs.
