The linear Condor power supply that replaced it had 5-10mv peak-to-peak

Another thought - when comparing, you are using the same DAC input and
cable that you use with the Parasound transport?
If you're running AES/EBU from the Parasound and coax from the SB3,
that's not a fair comparison. You could run AES/EBU from a
Transporter.

We're fortunate that the SB3 has digital output attenuation. As you
discovered, the folks using CD players have no way of fixing this
problem.

that conceptually does a D-to-A-to-D on the
input signal to upconvert it to 96kHz for internal processing. You need
to reduce the digital level in the SB3 before it gets to the RCS input
to prevent digital overload in the AD1896 conversion process.

that its clip light is not synchronized with the RCS's so whatever's
coming out of the RCS isn't what's being measured by the RCS clip
indicator.

buttons. I haven't tried configuring the second display for anything
else.
It's easy to like the Transporter, and it's a clear step up from the
SB3, but I would end up paying quite a bit for those nifty VU meters if
I kept it.
